“Libby was a God send. We are so thankful for finding her on Rover. We have been worried for a long time about finding the right sitter for our Archie dog and Libby is the perfect person. I can’t wait to use her again! We were lucky enough to have another sitter turn us down and then we found Libby. Our Meet and Greet was as smooth as possible. When my husband made a mistake on the date and Libby showed up when she was not needed, she graciously came back the next day at the correct time. We couldn’t have asked for anything more for our dog, who happens to require a little extra attention. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Libby!”

“Rodney was great. He came to greet my pups ahead of the service date. He sent me pics throughout his visits and my pups were content and seemed happy when we got home. We will request Todney again.”

“Tina was great. Price is very reasonable and it was nice to have a responsible adult monitoring vs. a neighbor kid. There were a couple small events and Tina was proactive and took care of things. Extremely happy.”

“Annie was attentive and went above and beyond for our (2) cats and our outdoor guinea pig! We appreciated her level of care for each pet’s individual needs. Our white cat is incredibly needy and we were nervous about leaving him either alone or with someone new, but we feel confident about having left him with Annie!”

About: Hi, I’m Jennifer! I’ve had pets in the house my whole life—from small dogs and cats to large breeds. I’m confident, calm, and genuinely love caring for animals. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, or just some company, I’ll treat them like family. You can count on me for safe, loving, and dependable care every time. 🐾 I am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to care for your furry friends. I am available during the week and weekends! I prefer to watch pets in your home but can offer care in my home. I have 3 acres of land and a dog of my own.

About: I am an animal lover who has trained and cared for a variety of species since an early age. I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs/cavies, chickens, pigeons, goats, sheep, pigs, cattle, and horses, though I have primarily focused on the first eight species listed. I have shown poultry and rabbits in 4-H and at national-level shows, and I have a heart for both pet and exhibition or working animals. Large dogs or creatures that need a little extra coaxing or finesse do not phase me. My current living situation does not allow me to own pets, so I am hoping to serve pet owners through Rover while also satisfying my love of animals. My husband and I recently moved back to Hillsdale (we were students at the college a couple years ago). I will be entering the Graduate School of Classical Education in fall 2024. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom to my 9-month-old son, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule. I expect to have enough flexibility to engage in pet care even after I start school this fall. I care for all pets calmly, gently, firmly, flexibly, and with attention to detail. Safety is a top concern, whether it involves making sure all doors or gates are closed securely, keeping dogs on-leash until I know them well enough, double-checking the kind and amount of food I am giving a cat, handling a rabbit in a way that protects its vulnerable spine, etc. I greatly appreciate well-trained animals, and I enjoy training them, but I am very willing to work with young and less-trained animals, too.

“Looking for someone caring, responsible, and active? Then Cara Gurnsey is the perfect caretaker for your fur baby! Cara has proven time and again with my own dog and those of others that she will go above and beyond to independently cater to their needs and follow specific instructions. I have seen her handle four high energy dogs while never leaving the fifth (elderly/diabetic/high anxiety) dog excluded from her thorough care. I highly recommend Cara to trust with your precious K9(s).”
