About: I love animals and would love to help you watch yours if you're out or take them on walks for you! I had a German-Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador mix for 11 years, he passed away recently but brought years of joy and experience with a highly-energetic dog. I recently got my first cat, and I have lived with several other dogs and cats. I do not have any professional experience grooming or dealing with animals, but I am more than willing to help out with letting dogs out, taking them on walks, etc. I definitely have plenty of experience walking dogs because of my little guy. I look forward to hearing from you soon! I currently have quite open availability, almost any day and time should work with some notice, and I will try to make it work regardless. I have a fenced-in yard where a dog can go outside/play fetch. I have 1 cat, but he can be kept in a separate area of the house if preferred.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was a teenager. I’ve always been reliable and will treat your pup with exceptional care! I’m mainly at home so I’ll have a lot of time to play with your pet! I will give your pets a lot of love, treats, and toys I have a house with a fenced yard with a decent size backyard. I also live by a nice park that I walk my dogs at.

About: We do our very best for your pups! We provide pick up and drop off to help with the convenience for you and your pup. I usually prefer to come and do a meet and greet beforehand, so you and the pup can get to know me. I love to see your pup in their natural habitat, so I know what to expect. A little bit about our place, we are completely off grid with solar and a wind turbine for power! We give our pups well water. The water is very high in natural minerals and has Magnesium, which helps keep us and our pups very mellow/calm during their stay. We are up 4000ft in elevation and up here we get SNOW in the winter, which makes for great pics. We have been working with dogs for 10+ years. We accommodate all different types of pups from Tea-cups to Malamutes. (2-100+lbs) we’ve done it all. We try very hard to accommodate you and are willing to go the extra mile to make everything go smoothly. We do ask you give us their food for them. It’s very important to us that your dog remains safe and secure at all times. The more information you can tell us about your pup the better! We do have AirTags/Drones and other toys if they have issues with trying to escape. Your pup will get an experience up here that they can’t get anywhere else. We treat them like family, because to us they are! They will see all different types of animals from birds to tons of squirrels, rabbits and’s quails. They might even get to see cattle/horses at the bottom of the hill. They will never be able to interact with any of them. We send pictures/videos normally everyday. We do send updates everyday!!! Please, feel free to txt or call me anytime if you have any questions. We hope to see you and your pup very soon!!!😊🍀🙏🐾 We are up and about at 6-7am. Everyone heads out for the bathroom and stretch. I get my coffee and start preparing food. Everyone gets fed separately or in their kennels. Then, around 8am we go on our first hike. Usually between 30/60 min. Then after their first hike they get to either come inside the main house or hang out in the play area. Around noon we play some games, work on training techniques, or play mind games where they work on their smell or obedience. Depending on the weather we go for another pack walk. Time again varies between 4-7pm. Then DINNER TIME!!! That usually also consists of me firing up the BBQ and give them a little bit of what we’re eating. After dinner we give them a few hours to digestion and poop and pee and then everyone gets their nice warm blanket for bed around 9pm. We do vary in our days if it’s hot I pull out the pool and fill it up. If it’s cold and snowing we pull out the heaters and snuggle on our bed and watch a movie. To be honest I have the best job ever! All of the dogs I’ve ever met have a personality of their own. They usually take after their owner lol. I’m constantly surrounded by my dogs, stimulating them with something, music or movies, podcasts. When your dog comes up here we treat them just like they were our own.
About: With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, I treat every pup like family. I specialize in both puppy training and gentle senior care, giving each dog the personalized attention they need. Whether it’s sticking to special diets, administering medication, or keeping routines consistent, I go above and beyond to make dogs feel at home and owners feel at ease. Dogs are part of my everyday life — my schedule naturally revolves around walks, feeding times, play sessions, and quiet rest breaks. I make sure every pup gets a balance of exercise, affection, and downtime, so they stay happy, healthy, and relaxed while in my care. In my home, dogs enjoy a safe, clean, and cozy environment with supervised play, comfy resting areas, and plenty of love. I maintain their usual routines, offer outdoor breaks and walks, and give each dog personalized care based on their personality. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their household rules closely and treat every space and pet as if they were my own.
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since 1997; from dogs/cats-reptiles/fish & I was taught to treat them with just as much care, love & respect that you’d give a child. I’m familiar with their care, needs & certain levels of training. That being said, I hope to have the chance to meet yours & care for them while you're away! I currently work from home & have had some extra time on my hands. I recently came across Rover & thought it would be a perfect way to invest my spare time in an intentional/purposeful & financially lucrative way. I can work around most schedules, whether that’s weekends, early mornings or evenings. The best part about animals is that they’re all so different & unique in their own special way; which calls for a different level of care from pet-pet, not 1 animal is the same in my opinion. All that to say, I’m willing to adapt to anything/everything your pet may need while you’re away & hope to hear from you soon!
About: My love for animals runs deep—I currently volunteer at a local animal shelter, where I care for cats and dogs of all sizes, personalities, and needs. From socializing shy pets to walking energetic pups and helping with feeding and cleaning, I’ve gained hands-on experience that’s taught me how to read animal behavior and respond with patience, love, and care. Whether I’m hanging out with a cuddly senior cat or keeping a playful dog entertained, I truly enjoy making pets feel safe and happy. I treat every animal like family and make it my priority to follow their routine and comfort level while you’re away. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I’m able to fit pet care into my daily routine easily. I work remotely and can adjust my hours as needed, which makes it simple to handle walks, feedings, or any last-minute needs that come up. I’m very careful when it comes to pet care. I always make sure the environment is safe, secure, and comfortable—whether it’s in my home or the client’s. I follow any specific instructions closely and treat every pet like they’re my own, with lots of love, patience, and attention.
About: Hello my name is Shondra and I absolutely love dogs. as a retiree, I'm home most of the time, so your pup will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day-they'll never be left alone for long periods. I've had dogs my entire life and have experience training German Shorthaired Pointers as hunting dogs. Although I no longer hunt, the knowledge, patience, and dedication I gained from training them helps me provide excellent care for every dog I meet. I walk my own dog every day, and if your pup enjoys walks and is able to join us, I'd be happy to include them in our daily adventures. My home is clean, safe, and pet-friendly, giving your furry family member a comfortable place to relax and feel at home. I know how important it is to stay connected while you're away, so i'll send you daily photos and updates so you can see all the fun your pup is having and peace of mind. If you have a puppy, I can also help with crate training and potty training by following a consistent routine and using positive reinforcement, but it has to be with a crate for cleanliness. My promise is simple: I'll care for your dog with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to welcoming your furry family member into my home. I have saved my dog Kiddy (who has now passed away at 19yrs old) from near death when she was 16yrs old. She had an infected tooth which got into her blood and caused her to almost die. the doctor gave her antibiotics but she wasn't eating or drinking for days. I put in a blender chicken and pedialyte, I then poured it into a feeding syringe and carefully put it in her mouth, I did this for 2 days and she came back to life. She got her tooth pulled as soon as she was better. I wanted to tell my story so you know that I will do whatever it takes to care for your pup. Our fur babies are family❤️❤️🙏 I am retired and home to take care of your pup. I do have one little dog and 2 cats. My pup is on an eating schedule and walking schedule so if your pup is on any schedule I will accommodate. My dogs and cats are cherished members of the family, and I will treat your animals as my extended family. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home where your pet feels happy and secure while your pet feels happy and secure will you're away. I have a fully fenced yard for outdoor play and live close to a park, where your pup can enjoy daily walks and exercise. I also have a swimming pool that is not fenced; however, your pets safety is my highest priority, and I closely supervise all outdoor time to ensure they stay safe. if your pet requires medication, I am experienced and comfortable administering it according to your instructions. I will also follow your preferred feeding schedule and routine to help your pet feel at home. I specialize in caring for small to medium-size dogs. if your pup enjoys relaxing on the couch, they're welcome to cuddle up with me. I can provide a crate if needed, or you're welcome to bring your own if that's what your pup is accustomed to sleeping in. For the comfort and cleanliness of my home, I do require that all pets be potty trained or crated while learning to be potty trained. I also understand that every pet has unique needs. For example, I currently care for a friends dog who uses a dog litter box, so im happy to accommodate that setup if needed. As a special treat, I make homemade boil chicken treats that many dogs love, of course, I will always follow any dietary restrictions or special instructions you provide. Most importantly, I will care for your pet with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I want every dog or cat in my care to feel safe, loved, and right at home.
“Sabrina was amazing!! This is our first time having a pet sitter come into our home, and she made us feel so comfortable. She was on top of it with all the questions and concerns with each animals schedule, (Food, water, medication, potty breaks, etc). Any changes in the daily plans she promptly let us know. She sent daily pictures which is always comforting to know your babies are safe and happy. We can’t wait for her to come back and watch our critters again!! :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Jet
Areli recently watched our four cats and exceeded every expectation. Caring for four different feline personalities is no small feat, but Areli handled it with total ease, patience, and love. She sent updates and photos that kept our minds completely at ease while we were away. Beyond being a top-tier pet caregiver, Areli is also just a genuinely wonderful, kind, and trustworthy person. It is so rare to find someone who connects so deeply with animals and is equally pleasant and professional to deal with.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
