“Chance is THE BEST!! Highly recommend him. My cat is normally pretty shy but Chance is like the cat whisperer. This was a repeat booking and I plan to continue to use him in the future.”

“Christine took good care of my dog. She showed concern that he was shaking when she got there and texted me right away. She spent time with him until he seemed to stop shaking and left me know that he was alright. I will definitely rebook her when I need someone.”

About: I have watched and cared for kittens and puppies through senior cats and dogs, performed basic grooming needs, and administered medications (oral and injectable). I have watched many different breeds of dogs including corgis, pitbull mixes, french bulldogs, poodles, doodles, labs, and larger mixed breeds. I currently work from home, mostly second shift, with a fairly flexible schedule. As long as I have Internet, I am able to work from almost anywhere (within reason obviously lol). I am often up late, but don’t mind early morning walks. I currently reside at home with family in an in-law suite that has the capability to be closed off from the rest of the house. This addition has two of its own entrances with access to both a large front and backyard. I have an SUV so I am able transport crates and larger breeds if needed. I am also able to provide care in your own home that will be up to your standards and conveys that I will treat your animal(s) as I would my own.

“She was great with Remi! 😊 She checked on him twice during a long overnight shift for me, kept me updated, and followed all instructions perfectly. I’d definitely book with her again!”

“Anna took very good care of our boy George! Judging from the photos she sent he was very happy with her and had some good snuggle time. She fed him and cleaned his litter box, and we will certainly call her next time we're away!”

“Thankyou so much Mikenah. You have been the best to our sweet girl Sassie. I am so happy you we're the one we chose to care for our kitty. The level of care and lovins is unmatched. I don't easily trust people but you have exceeded our expectations. I know my Sassie will always be great in your hands. 10/10 book her. You won't regret it.”

About: I volunteer at the SPCA walking dogs and caring for the cats. I'm a lover of all animals. I'm very clean and responsible and care for all animals as I would a family member. I'm currently working full-time, but I'm available after 4 and all weekends and holidays. I have a dog and fours cats of my own and this seems to work for them. They are very happy. I take my dog on long walks and provide him enrichment treats and toys. I always check when leaving to make sure that nothing is out he can hurt himself with. I'm also very strict on cleaning the cat boxes as I don't want them to get sick or smell up the house. I will clean up after your pets and I will make sure they are safe and happy.
“Tana took great care of our cats and was great with communication and photos, which was much appreciated. We look forward to having her care for our cats at some future point again!”

About: Hello, My name is Alexis Carey, born and raised in the Williamsport area. Growing up around my grandparent's farm instilled a love for all animals within my soul. Have years of dog handling experience. Little dogs, old dogs, big dogs; I love them all! I care for any breed and any special needs. I have a flexible schedule. My lifestyle is very active, and I am always accepting new running partners. Currently, I am studying for law school. I work as a part-time, 3rd shift correctional officer. I have plenty of free time throughout the day. My vehicle is large and insured for carrying animals, perfect for bringing a dog along for a hike on numerous trails in the local area. This would be a nice option for younger dogs that have a lot of steam to blow off. While you are busy at work, I will make sure they stay even busier. Then everyone can come home and ALL be ready to unwind from the day. Please call anytime to discuss your service needs. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best, Alexis M. Carey My schedule is flexible. I can provide customized care to fit you and your pets’ needs. I do not have my schedule open to house-sitting. However, for certain situations. I would be willing to do some housesitting. Message me the details and we could discuss options. The house would have to be fairly close to mine. Trips of longer lengths (1-2 weeks at a time) can be accommodated with advanced notice. Your animals will be well cared for. I can provide them with a regimented routine that you and I work our for them while you are away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
