About: I have always had a dog in my life. I knew I would work with Dogs forever. I started Grooming in 1992 .In 2005 i opened my own Grooming Business and was Successful for 17 years. I Retired Dec 2021.I was Missing the Dogs so i started dog sitting I'm currently working part-time, so i will have plenty of time to play with your pups! Weekends are no problem I work everything on a schedule Everything would be at your home I can not watch any dogs at my house. My Lab would be to upset. Plus i am sure your fur baby would be more happy at there home and in there environment

About: I grew up on a farm where I cared for upwards of 20+ family dogs (of all ages, sizes, and demeanors), many cats, horses, miniature ponies, chickens, and more. If it has four legs, chances are I have probably cared for one at least once in my lifetime. Our house always had at least three or four dogs at a time, so I am well versed in the art of managing multiple strong personalities at once. My first dog I adopted myself was special needs beagle, and I am very comfortable with assisting with dogs who have higher needs. That beagle lived a long happy life before he crossed that rainbow bridge, and I've just welcomed in a bloodhound puppy about a year ago named Gus. He is a wonderful testament to the hard work my partner and I have dedicated to turning him into a good dog, and he plays well with any dog he meets, no matter if they play rough or gentle, or if they're timid or chaotic. I am also a registered nurse and I am a quick study to any health needs your pet may have. I am local to the OBX and have many different options up my sleeve when it comes to keeping your pup entertained and active during our time together, as well as knowledge of where to avoid so that your pup doesn't end up with any sand spurs. I've handled dogs all my life, and have yet to meet a dog who challenged me (even aggressive ones who had run off previous sitters). I look forward to hearing about you and your pups needs and providing attention to detail and rounded care to your dog as if they were my own. I work as a middle school nurse from the second week in August to the first week in June. My summers allow me to have open availability to serve the pet owner community. If you have pet care needs during the school year, I do have availability on weekends, or after 4pm on week days. I intend to treat the dogs I care for as my own, so the structure I follow mirrors how I work with my own dog. Dogs get potty breaks and brief walks at minimum every three hours, more often if the weather is good. Once or twice a day (weather permitting) I go for what I call "a big romp" -- this can be running and playing fetch on a small private soundside beach within my neighborhood, a walk on the big beach, a visit to the dog park (which would only happen if owner and I have discussed this), a stroll through Nags Head Woods or around the Wright Brother's monument. As we move into summer, these activities will be limited by the heat so I tend to do these early in the day or at sunset/dusk to avoid dogs overheating. I always carry with me some treats and a bottle of water for the doggo. If the weather is poor or it's just too hot for larger scale activities, I like to invoke puzzle toys, treats wrapped up in towels, or burying treats and toys in the dig pit I've built in my back yard.

About: I have had and taken care of dogs since I was younger. My family has had mini Aussies and I am familiar with high energy, chill, and a variety of breeds. I have experience working in a family friends boarding business and love spending time with dogs! I also have previous volunteer experience in an animal shelter. Whether it be walking or dropping in I’m excited to meet your pet! I work a full time job however have been wanting to do this as a side gig for a while now. Throughout the week I am most often off on Thursdays/Fridays and when working during the week get home usually before 7pm. I value time outside and think it’s just as important for your pets. I have experience having family dogs and taking care of them. I am not looking to board or keep at my residence though. In the clients home making sure they have water, are fed at their regular time, walk times specific for your pet, and giving them adequate amounts of attention time.

About: I have cared for dogs, as well as all kinds of other animals my entire life! I have a 3 year old Pitt mix named Sophie who is absolutely precious and LOVES other dogs. I work in the husbandry department at the aquarium so I am comfortable with all animals including fish, reptiles, spiders, etc. ❤️ I currently work full time, with Fridays and Saturdays off. I am available after 5pm Sunday-Thursday with full availability on my days off. I am flexible with last minute requests as well I will care for your pups in your home by doing absolutely anything you request. I can crate dogs, or do anything that the owner would like! My dog is very spoiled and gets the best care possible.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals my entire life from dogs all the way to alpacas! I grew up riding and taking care of horses since I was 6 which came with learning about how different animals communicate. I also grew up with 2 Jack Russell’s who were both my best friends until they passed from old age. I am luckily the only member of my family who isn’t allergic to cats, I think it’s because my grandmother had 20+ cats when I was a kid, and I made it my personal goal to befriend every single one. I love animals and I promise I will love your dog, cat, fish, snake, etc just as much! If you do happen to have a pet that is not a dog that needs to be watched let me know, and we can work something out! I currently work full time at a vet as a veterinary assistant in Buxton Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. My schedule is limited but I am free on weekends and Wednesdays. With being a vet assistant I am comfortable administering certain medications and familiar with animals with diabetes! Please try to schedule a week out from your vacation to the Outer Banks or if you’re a resident please let me know when you book. Returnees, I have moved!! I live in a house with one other roommate with a backyard and space to play. My boyfriend’s dog Axel also loves to join when watching other dogs as long as they’re friendly.

About: Hi, I’m Yanna! I’m a local OBX babysitter, and a big part of my work is being someone families can trust in their homes. Along with caring for children, I’ve also cared for pets during house sits and vacation stays, so I’m very comfortable following routines, respecting someone’s space, and keeping pets cared for while their family is away. I have four dogs at home, so I’m used to the everyday things that come with pet care — feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up, keeping an eye on behavior, and giving lots of attention. I’m also happy to follow detailed notes and send photo updates so you feel comfortable while you’re gone. My schedule is created by me, so I’m able to plan ahead and make sure I have more than enough time for the pets I care for. Since I work as a local babysitter and house sitter, I’m used to managing my own bookings and only accepting jobs when I know I can fully commit. During house sits, drop-ins, or walks, I always make sure there is enough time for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, updates, and anything else your pet needs. I’m very respectful of each family’s home and each pet’s routine. During visits or house sits, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walks, crates, medication reminders, doors/gates, and any house rules. I like detailed notes and will always make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
