“Kristi has been incredible! This is my second time using her to watch my dog. She sends updates and pictures and keeps you involved while away. She's been extremely flexible and easy to work with. My plans changed and needed her to watch my dog extra, she did it without hesitation. What a blessing! I'm not in columbus often, but when I need a sitter, she is my top choice. Book with her and you will not be disappointed!”

“Ashley is a god send and she took care of Bosco just like she’d take care of her own. Bosco had a blast there with her puppers so much so that he refused to get into the car to head home. He was super comfortable and happy at Ashley’s and given a chance he’d be happy to stay there forever. We’re so glad to have found someone like Ashley who takes such good care of the puppies that come for a stay and the puppies know they’re safe, cared for and showered with love. Bosco will definitely return again”

“We have a 8 month old dog who had a blast with Benthany and her husband! When we arrived she had 4 dogs waiting happily to play with our puppy. They even have a backyard for her to run free. She had so much fun that she slept the entire next day. Our puppy sometimes gets lonely because of how spoiled she is and they even let her out of the cage and layed with her on the couch in the middle of the night to comfort her. They were incredible and so welcoming. Anytime we need this service again we will be using them! Thanks so much!”

“Kirsten and Nicolas took such good care of our boy! Our dog even got to play with their dogs and got along well with them. Their dogs are so calm and relaxed just what our 3 year old energetic dog needed to relax. They took care of our feeding schedule and our pup was back healthy and happy! I would definitely rebook with them.”

“Emily was wonderful. My doodle has some anxiety about new places. From the pictures Emily sent she looked completely relaxed and comfortable! I appreciate the communication throughout the time we were gone.”

“Nicole took great care of my dog while I was out of town. My dog had a great time while she was there and Nicole consistently kept me updated with lots of pictures. Nicole was very friendly and was great with communication. I will 100% be bringing my dog back in the future and I would recommend her to anyone who needs their dog taken care of.”

“He was great at being communicative and sending pictures and Daisy had such a great time with the other dogs! Even when my flight was running a little late, he was very understanding of the situation! I definitely recommend looking your furry friend with Hasber! He also lives very close by to my home. It feels good to know that there is someone close by. I can trust to watch my furry best friend if I ever go on a trip ever again.”

“Rui was fantastic with Snoopy who can be overly joyous and loving. She sent photos of Snoopy and her dog Misty spending time together which were fantastic to receive during our holiday. It was so reassuring to know Snoopy was in good hands and had a playmate while we were out of town.”

“We have used Hayley many times now… And each time our dog comes away happy and healthy. Hayley provides multiple updates with pictures and info about what she’s doing while we are away which really helps. Highly recommend her!”

“Jasmine did a great job with my pup. He had so much fun with her and her family! She was very communicative and was flexible as we were edtablishing drop-off & pick-up times.”

“Carly was amazing. Zeke is normally shy but as soon as Zeke met her he was already starting to feel comfortable, Couldn't ask for a better babysitter. From Pics, answering questions, flexible, making sure Zeke was well taken care of and comfortable. Zeke had so much fun running around the fenced yard, playing fetch and sleeping in the bed. Carly even gave us a report card on Zeke's stay, it was so cute. I will recommend her to anyone needing a babysitter.”

“Nicole was so amazing with our dog, Nellie! This was our first Rover experience, so of course I was nervous, and Nicole sent frequent photos and updates of Nellie. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be rebooking!”

“Amber was really great with our dog Emmy! We hadn't used a pet sitter in awhile and were nervous to try someone new, but Amber answered all of my questions right away, took the time to do a meet and greet first, and provided excellent communication throughout the stay. I felt very reassured that my dog was getting lots of attention and care, and we greatly appreciated all the updates and pictures. I would not hesitate to recommend her or use her again in the future. Thank you!”

“Great couple. Very friendly and took care of my dog very well. I was late in picking my dog up and the told me it would be no problem. Would strongly recommended them.”
“As always, Kathy is so very diligent with updates and communication. These days, our Ella can get very down when we’re away from her - not finishing her food, using the bathroom etc. Ella is forever comfortable with Kathy and is always tuckered for the days following a stay with her. Her yard is absolutely perfect, her home is very clean and she always welcomes with open arms!”

“What a wonderful job with Frankie!!! Lots of updates and pictures. She had lots of exercise and attention. We greatly appreciate the love and care you provided. Would love to have you watch Frankie again!”

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Irwin can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Irwin home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Irwin.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
