I was responsible for walking the dogs, cleaning the litter box, taking them to the vet, feeding and grooming them, as well as administering medication and ensuring they were up to date on flea medicine. I see animals as intelligent beings who deserve care and attention. I like getting to know the personality of each one and caring for them in their own personalized way. I have also cared for a variety of dogs and cats for family friends and neighbors. I stayed overnight in their homes to give their pets medication, walk their dogs, play with their cats, feed, and care for them. I cannot have any pets at this time due to roommate restrictions. For that reason I am even more eager to pet sit for others so that I can share my love for pets with the animals of others. I am a graduate student at the University of Louisville, so I am studying most of the time. I would love to study while I am hanging out with you pet! The best study break is the one spent with playing with a cat or walking a dog. My schedule is changes every semester, but as of now I have ample time to walk a dog over lunch or spend the night with a pet all week or over the weekend. I always asked the pet parents for their pets preferred eating, walking, and cuddling schedule so that I can do my best to meet the individual needs. It is important for animals to feel safe and have a routine, especially when their parent is away. I give medications on time and exercise the pet as much as I can/as much is required. I also am great at checking in with the pet parent with updates and photos of how they pet is doing. Text to check in anytime if you want an update!
