About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life and I've had my first (adult life) dog for three and a half year. Wila Rose is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. About a year and a half ago we added another rescue, Buckley Quinn. He is a smart but goofy boy. They both go backpacking with us and we do a lot of hiking on our local public land areas. We enjoy playing around in our yard with our limited dog agility set and learning new tricks. We occasionally go swimming but love jumping and exploring new water areas and hiking trails. Wila and Buckley are a huge part of my life. We enjoy hiking, being outdoor, and traveling as much as possible. We do quite a but of training included but not limited to: agility, scent training, shed training, and just some fun party tricks. I am new to Rover so please feel free to reach out with any questions. I have an acre of land (not fenced in). We love to go on walks and sniffaris at our local parks. Buckley loved to play with other dogs and Wila is more of a people dog. They even loves to go backpacking and hiking which often include 10+ miles a day.

“Lisa is amazing! She makes sure your dog feels safe and secure while you are away. She goes the extra mile to assure your pet has a good experience with her every single visit!”

“Hannah was amazing! Everyday she came she communicated everything with us and make sure to send lots of pictures! Having a puppy can be hard, but Hannah made sure to continue to work on our training skills. Her communication was always timely and she was so friendly. Sadie loved having her come over for a little each day will miss her so much.”

About: “God speaks to the creatures through the creatures.” -Dr. Chase. “All you need is love.” -John Lennon. Plenty of love I have to give, but I also have the experience of 35 years as a science teacher. I’m well-versed in how animals like dogs and cats talk to us through their gestures. Dogs evolved with humans, and I understand that relationship and how dogs meet our emotional needs. Please read my first four reviews which I received from pet owners that I served even before signing up with Rover. The pet owner decides when treats are allowed, if table scraps are allowed, and how much food to give. The dog decides when it wants to go potty. 😉 Just in case, I usually take the dog out before it decides and always before any discomfort. Snuggles welcome. 🐾🥰😻 When serving you and your pet, I like to send pictures. We can also use FaceTime or Zoom to check in. 🐶🤩 At age 61, I’ve been a retired teacher for 3 years, and my activity level allows me to run or play with your beloved dog. In your home, I follow instructions and do the routine for your beloved just like you would. However, if I’m allowed to give more snuggles, or more walks, or more training than you normally have time for, I’m at your service.

However, I can change my shifts to meet your schedule needs. never be afraid to ask and always ask me a week in advance. About: I have 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs & cats of all ages and personalities. I have also worked in pet care roles and fostered animals, including those who are shy, anxious or have special needs. I am patient, gentle and attentive and I take the time to understand each pet's unique needs and routine. Pet care fits naturally into my routine! I work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM–4:00 PM in an office, so I plan my schedule around providing reliable, attentive care for the pets I look after. I’m available for pet care outside of my work hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. I understand how important consistency and communication are, and I always do my best to accommodate each pet’s needs and maintain their routine. My goal is to make sure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away! In my home, pets are cared for in a calm, clean, and comfortable environment. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, and rest. I provide plenty of attention, enrichment, and safe, supervised time, and I’m mindful of giving pets their own space when needed—especially those who are shy or adjusting. In your home, I focus on maintaining consistency and following your instructions closely, including feeding, medication, walks, litter care, crate routines, and playtime. I treat your home with respect, keep things tidy, and provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. About: I’ve grown up caring for cats and dogs and have always enjoyed spending time with animals. I have an active dog of my own who loves going on long walks, so I’m very comfortable keeping energetic dogs active and entertained. As a high-level athlete, I’m active myself and genuinely enjoy being outdoors, whether that’s walking, playing, or simply spending time with a pet. I’ve also helped neighbors care for their animals while they were away. Right now I’m training in Milwaukee and have practice at 3:30 so I can take care of your pet during the day but also after practice if needed. Would be preferred if I did at the clients house but I live in a apartment right now they have a dog park and sorts.
About: My unconditional love for all animals. Every cat or dog that I meet I treat and cherish as if they were my own fur baby. I do work a full time job, 8-4 Mon-Fri. However, I am looking to use some of my free time taking care of your fur baby! I do my best to maintain whatever routine you have with your fur baby. I am willing to go the extra mile to make your pup feel safe and comfortable while you are away.
About: My husband and I are workampers! That means we move every season to a new campground and work there. This time, we are at Jellystone Caledonia!! We love to have the presence of animals, since it gets boring living in a campground without an animal to walk. There is a great dog park here with great socialization opportunities (for us and the dogs 😆😆)!! I would love an opportunity to pet sit any type of fur babies, I grew up with cats and dogs my whole life!!! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!! Pet care fits seamlessly into our routine. My husband and I travel full time, which gives us a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability. We both enjoy meeting new people and animals along the way, and our lifestyle allows us to be present, attentive, and adaptable. Caring for pets fits easily into our daily life and is something we LOVE. I care for pets by following their established routines as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I make sure feeding schedules, walks, litter care, playtime, and medications (if needed) are handled consistently and with attention to detail. I respect the home and keep everything clean and orderly while you’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
