About: NOTE: I work weekdays throughout the school year. Still available, but pets will be at home without me on weekdays for about 7 hours. I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have cared for small dogs <25 pounds all the way up to large sized Great Danes > 200 pounds. I have been fostering dogs for Safe Paws Iowa for the past 3 years. I am available for a large portion of the summer because I only coach softball outside of the school year. I am very active and would love to share that energy with dogs! Walking, jogging, or just playing in the doggy pool is no issue at all. I currently have two dogs of my own. They can play all together or be kept separated! I also have experience giving dogs meds as some of the dogs in my care have different long term conditions. Can’t wait to meet your precious pups! Please contact me if you have any remaining questions! I am mostly free over the summer and weekends. I run errands or make plans outside of when I’m taking care of pets. Pet care is my priority while hosting! I have a fenced in yard, my own dogs to join in play if wanted, I have gates/doors and a finished lower level where I can separate dogs if need be, and have multiple kennels. Backyard play or leash walking would be part of your pets care. On occasion we may go to a park and our dog often accompanies us. I have a large fenced in yard with lots of shade and green space to run around in. I have crates of various sizes to keep your dog safe and comfortable at night, when we leave for an errand or to retreat to as needed.
