About: Having grown up in constant close companionship with animals for my entire life, I have a deep innate understanding of their language and behavior. I have a general love and fascination with the nuances of animal lives and the ways that they connect to their human companions - this fascination leads me to be constantly seeking out evidence-based information, so that I continue to grow as an animal caretaker. I work an intense job with flexible hours, enabling me to do some intermittent daytime pet support if the location is close enough. I'm most available in the evenings and on weekends. Some days there are crises that can delay my pet care up to one hour, but I have never had any animal be anywhere near neglected while in my care. I find working with any and all animals to be incredibly healing, so this is not extra work for me - no matter what, I bring my entire heart with me to care for your animals. I have found that each individual person & pet has their own needs for comfort, security, and trust. I learned a lot about the medical side of taking care of puppies & senior dogs, such as injecting / orally administering medications. Our family dog was a huge mastiff growing up, so any breed or size will not be an issue at all. About: I have several years of experience dog-sitting in a variety of settings. I’ve helped run flyball shows, which gave me hands-on experience with high energy dogs in fast paced environments. I’ve also done long term overnight dogsitting for families who were out of town for multiple weeks, making sure their pets were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. In addition, I regularly do daily drop-ins for dogs in my neighborhood and for families I used to babysit for, building strong and trusted relationships with both pets and their owners. Pet care fits well in my weekly routine as I do a majority of my work from home! Which makes it very easy to be out and about more often than others with the typical job. If need be, I have all necessities for dogs in my personal home. My backyard is well secured, I own a crate, elevated dog bowls, and have my own pup for company. If that does not work, then I can easily go by your own home and hang out with your furry friend and make sure they get activity, food/water needed, and give them a potty break!
