“We had an outstanding experience with Star as our house and dog sitter. From start to finish, her professionalism, reliability, and genuine care gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our dog, Millie, received exceptional attention, exercise, and affection, and it was clear upon our return that she had been very well cared for. In addition, our home was maintained impeccably. Everything was in excellent order, and we truly appreciated the level of respect and responsibility shown throughout. Communication was consistent and thoughtful, with regular updates that kept us reassured. We would highly recommend Star to anyone seeking a trustworthy and dedicated house and pet sitter. Her commitment to both our pet's well-being and our home's care was exemplary, and we would not hesitate to book her services again. Without a doubt, this was our very best house sitting and dog sitting experience in our 25 years of pet ownership.”

Weekends work best as I work a few hrs throughout the week but am never gone for more than 3 hrs at a time! My apartment complex is safe and also has a dog park! “I'm almost afraid to leave an honest review. BECAUSE, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO BOOK HIM AGAIN! And I don't want him to be too busy. He did a wonderful job with our dog and our house. Saxon got all the exercise he needed, then apparently slept the afternoon away. Our home looked exactly how we left it. Maybe even better. Finn came for a meet and greet with Saxon and asked great questions about what Saxon likes and does not do, or should no do. We were very pleased and would definitely book him again.”

About: As a true animal lover who misses her pets while away at school, I’m excited to offer hands-on care for a wide range of animal companions. I’ve raised cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens, and I also work closely with the animal lab at the Science Museum of Virginia in my hometown of Richmond. There, I care for reptiles, amphibians, fish, and even arachnids, giving me both the compassion and confidence to care for exotic pets of all kinds. Being that I’m a student, I do not offer pet care from my home, however I always have a mindful approach to offering in-home pet care for clients. Don’t hesitate to communicate concerns or boundaries regarding

“Samson really loved his time with Amanda! She got him to warm up to her very quickly. She took him on long walks, played with him, and gave him tummy rubs! She also sent great updates with pictures on how he was doing. Amanda is very knowledgable when it comes to dogs and I really appreciate her taking such good care of Samson. She went above and beyond to make sure he was happy while I was away. We even had some car issues on our way back and she stayed longer than we had planned. We will definitely be booking her again!”

“Bridget was great! She got along great with the pups, and was very responsive. She asked lots of questions and I came back to a happy family. We would definitely invite her back. A big thanks for all the last-minute help!”

About: I grew up with a variety of animals, including several senior dogs. I fostered several dogs through the SPCA throughout my time in college, and am comfortable with a variety of behavioral and medical needs. I currently have two dogs of my own, one of which is a rescue. I work remotely, so I’m flexible to check on your furry friends throughout the day. If I do have standing weekly meetings, I’ll be sure to communicate those times so you know when I’ll be by. I do not do sitting in my home due to the reactivity of one of my dogs. I am very conscientious and careful with pets, and will make sure to watch your pet with a close eye, crate when needed, and utilize leash and outdoor safety skills when outside of your home.

“Moriah combines adroit technical expertise with amazing cat whisperer mojo. Our cat Casino needs to use an Aerokat steroid inhaler to control his severe asthma. (Steroid pills have twice given him diabetes.) It took me months to get to the point where Casino would sit beside me and take nine breaths while I held a rubber mask over his face. It’s tricky, and you can’t force it, because if he has an aversive experience, next time he may refuse altogether. Moriah had never used an Aerokat before. Although Moriah uses a similar device with her daughter, and has a lot of veterinary experience, our vet was skeptical, and advised that Moriah come over several times before we left, to learn and practice with Casino. This was not possible. Moriah said to just send her a video showing what Casino and I do with the Aerokat. So we did. Our first night on the road, Moriah sent a video of herself and Casino using the Aerokat PERFECTLY, all 9 breaths!!! In other matters too, she did a great job assessing and handling the situation. I would trust her to look after any special needs animal.”

Adrian M.
“I have a 4 year old poochon who is a bit shy with strangers and the way he gravitated towards Adriane had me so surprised!! He allowed her to give him a belly rub which I’ve only seen him do to the immediate household members that live in the house. Adriane definitely has a warm and friendly spirit to her that my little guy Cody drew towards. Adriane made sure his feedings were on time. She not only walked him but also took him to the dog park in our neighborhood and sent pictures to update me throughout the day. Cody’s fur is very high-maintenance and needs to be brushed everyday. Adriane took care of that for me and gave me one less thing to worry about when I got home. I highly recommend her services and I look forward to having her watch Cody again!”
