I ensure all spaces are pet-proofed to prevent accidents, with safe toys and plenty of fresh water and food. When I care for pets in their own home, I respect their familiar surroundings and routines, which helps reduce their stress. I follow any specific instructions closely—from feeding schedules to medication—and keep doors, gates, and windows secure at all times. Communication is key, so I provide regular updates to owners to build trust and keep everyone comfortable. About: I've always had a special communication with animals and being able to spend time with them has always made me happy, and that's what I plan to do for my career. I am a student and athlete at the moment, and I don't have time to get a job with practice and loads of homework so taking care of pets helps me raise some money and still stick to my priorities. About: I don't just love dogs; I know how to take care of them responsibly. As much as working with animals is enjoyable and fun for me, I am aware of the responsibility and skill level required to maintain a safe and healthy environment for your dog (or cat). I also know how hard it can be to leave your furry family members behind with a new person, so I'd love to reassure you with daily texts and photos of how our visit is going. I can even do a Skype call or other form of video chat if need be. I'm a former animal care professional with experience as a vet tech, pet store assistant manager, and groomer, and truly have an interest in the health and well being of your pet. I'm the type of person that double, triple, and sometimes quadruple-checks everything, and will pay attention to the small details in your pet's behavior and appearance. And of course, I absolutely love dogs. My favorite thing about them is their ability to break up the seriousness of a moment by being absolutely silly! Being a student also means that I will have more time to be at home with your pet. I've had the chance to meet dogs of all types and temperaments, and am comfortable walking energetic, leash aggressive, or nervous dogs. I understand how important exercise and quality time are in making your pup happy. I’ve been trained in safely restraining nervous dogs during their vaccinations, delivering subcutaneous injections, administering medication and feeding on a schedule for overnight patients, and clean up all variety of messes according to health standards. My Skills: --Medical Background: Because I've worked in a vet clinic and with many senior or disabled dogs, I will keep a better eye on your pet and be wary if he/she is limping, having trouble breathing, or otherwise seems ill/under the weather. I also know to look for the warning signs of a dog that is scared, looking to bolt, might bite, or is fixating on another dog (leash aggression). --Exercise & Handling: I am in good shape and am comfortable walking your dog frequently, including 45-60 minute walks or jogs for more active breeds. I'm also able to restrain your dog if necessary. --Training: I'm not a qualified dog trainer, however, I can practice whatever methods you are currently using with your dog trainer to ensure that their routine stays consistent. I've helped puppies practice sit, stay, and heel as well as deterring jumping or practicing "off" for restricted areas, and have had the opportunity to work with a few highly experienced dog trainers. --Basic Dog Wash: I have been trained by a licensed groomer to wash and dry dogs safely (I have also washed and dried cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs). I'm also able to clip nails and give your furry friend a good brush-through to get rid of tangles and mats. --Health & Medication: I am experienced and comfortable administering pills, liquid medication, or subcutaneous injections to your pet at the required times. I have worked with many unwilling and difficult pets, and I know how to make the process quick and successful while causing minimal stress to your pet. --Walk Safety: I am an experienced runner as well as a previous dog walker, so I know how to be aware of my surroundings when going for a jog. I have experience with dogs who do not like other dogs, and have learned how to avoid them as well as safely handle any negative reactions (barking, lunging, snarling, pulling on the leash) so that things don't escalate. --Other Pet Experience: I am very comfortable handling cats and other small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice), and can honestly say I'm just as much a cat person as I am a dog person. I understand the importance of a calm, quiet environment when it comes to smaller animals, and I'm familiar with how to handle them safely. My resume and references are always available upon request. I’m currently working part-time and will have plenty of time to be at home with your fur baby. My hours are flexible and we can work on setting up a schedule specific to your pets’ needs. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and just recently I’ve had the opportunity to care of puppies from birth until they are able to go to their for ever homes. Dogs are a huge part of my life, and I will take care of your dog like they are my own. I have a very open schedule because I work from home so I’m available for dog sitting, walking, etc. pretty much anytime and day of the week. I’m also able to take last minute bookings. I’ll always follow any specific rules you might have for the care of your pet as I know not every pet is the same. Taking your dog for walks or a dog park is no problem for me as I have my own transportation.

About: We love dogs! Our family will take care of your pup while you are away as if they were our own. Playing fetch, walks, and lots of pets & cuddles (if appropriate) will be provided. I currently stay home so I am available for care all day. If your dog enjoys car rides, they can come along to the park for practices. I have a fenced yard for safety, lots of shade, and a slope with the usual squirrels, bunnies, and birds on occasion to provide entertainment. I can provide a crate if needed.

I have taken care of a variety of different animals both small and large ones as well. I have a years worth of experience with senior care. I am a full time college student who adores animals. Apart from the walks and exercise I take my dogs for, I don't normally have a full plate. I would love to use my free and spare time to take care of animals and fill up my plate. I have 2 friendly dogs, a large gated backyard, and a park within walking distance, my house has two stories and is very spacious, if needed I have a spare crate to use.
