About: I’ve been surrounded by furry friends since I was young. I’m trusted by friends and family to take care of their pets while they travel or figure out life changes. I’m diligent about brushing, cleaning and snuggling-whatever your pup needs, I’m on it! I currently work full time from 9AM-5PM on a four day schedule. In the early morning’s and evenings I am available for walks, play time, training reinforcement, as well as clean up and any additional help needed while you’re away. During the weekends- I’m available all day Saturday-Mondays for walks and plenty of enrichment time! I have a highly energetic dog to keep your pet company! If your pet does not do well with other animals, I am happy to accommodate as needed. With plenty of parks and hikes in the area, I can assure you we’ll take plenty of walks. I will crate your pet if needed for their own safety.
“Cathy was wonderful with my Daisy!! She sent texts and pictures daily while we were away! Communicated very well with us on everything ! Will definitely use her again!!”

“Danielle is a Godsend. She is so sweet with my girl dakota. Has always gone over and beyond to help me out in last minute situations and lives Dakota like her own. She even was helpful when my dog went into heat while I was away on my trip and washed her party panties ( diaper) for me. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Karla is amazing!!! We were nervous leaving our puppy for the first time and she put us right at ease. She is just so sweet and our Penelope loves her. She sent pictures and updates all of the time we were gone. So excited to have found her!!!”

“We are so lucky we found Tiffany. We can now be assured our beloved Milo is receiving excellent care whenever she sits him. She does a great job both in taking care of him and communicating that to us. She is very professional and caring at the same time. No disappointment with her what so ever. This is the second time she helps us and there will be many more.”

About: Hey! I have grown up with dogs, cats, and livestock and have experience as a vet tech. I would love the opportunity to care for your babies! I work from home October through April so have plenty of time to drop in to care for your animals. I also enjoy walking so would love to have you baby tag along for that. Currently have three dogs that go on two walks a day and have outside play time. I would treat your fur baby like it was my own, and of course send you plenty of pictures/videos.
“Abigail helped me on short notice in an emergency situation and was able to take over care when another sitter didn’t show. She did an incredible job giving updates, following care instructions, and loving on the cats. She left the home better than she found it and her deep care for animals is evident in both her words and her actions!”

“Awesome experience. My kitty Waffles is a shy, scared kitty around new people and has taken him days to interact with new people. Brittany got Waffles to interacts with her within a day and even seemed to be playful with her. I highly recommend Brittany and i will be using her again when i have the need.”

About: More Than Just a Sitter — A Trusted Companion I don’t just watch your pets; I bond with them! Caring for pets brings me joy. My adaptable schedule means I can provide companionship, walks, and care throughout the week, tailored to your pet’s needs. Safety and trust come first. I provide a secure, loving environment, respecting routines and ensuring your pet feels at ease and truly cared for while under my supervision.
“Took good care of our Labrador Finn while we were away for a week. Sara made sure he got walks and got to swim and spent lots of time with Finn. We had a really hard time booking with rover and them processing payment and paying Sara timely. Rover was terrible but Sara was easy to work with and patient while they figured it out.”

About: Animals have always been more than a hobby to me—they're my career and my passion. I have over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for animals and have worked professionally as both a zookeeper and veterinary technician. I'm currently earning my Bachelor's degree in Animal Health & Behavior, giving me an even deeper understanding of animal behavior, health, and welfare. I've cared for dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and small mammals, and I'm comfortable with pets of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your pet needs an adventurous walk, patient care as a senior, medication, or simply someone to make them feel safe while you're away, I tailor my care to their individual needs. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving the same love and attention I'd want for my own pets! As a full-time online Animal Health & Behavior student, I have the flexibility to provide dependable care throughout the day instead of rushing between jobs. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, evening visit, or overnight care, I'm able to give them the time, attention, and companionship they deserve. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and maintain their normal routine. My goal is to provide consistent, reliable care while treating both your pet and your home with the utmost respect. With my experience as a former zookeeper, veterinary technician, and current Animal Health & Behavior student, I'm comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, administering medications when needed, and caring for pets with a wide range of personalities and needs. I'll follow your pet's routine closely and keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.
“Kimberly was very professional and took great care of our babies! I received multiple texts and photos throughout our time away. She left the house spotless and treated the home as her own! I would be very comfortable having her back in our home :)”

“Our 2 dogs seemed very comfortable with Kenneth. He stayed at our house with them for a week and came back to healthy, happy dogs. (And our house seemed cleaner than when we left.) We would highly recommend him.”

About: Firstly, I will listen to your pet's needs that you have, and follow them accordingly. Secondly, I will play with your babies and pay attention to them, with love and affection. I will walk with them around the Lake's, and engage them, by talking to them, so that they know they are loved by me. Thirdly, I do like to play catch and engage them in different games, so their time away from you will fly by for them. Lastly, I am not trained in the Heimlich for dogs, nor CPR, but I have had to do the Heimlich on my own dog, whom was choking on food, to save her life. I look forward to playing with your babies. Thank you so very much.
About: I have worked with puppies, including bottle feeding and giving them medication. Also, I have experience with turtles, tortoises, birds, snakes and bearded dragons. Lastly, I have a very flexible schedule. I take college courses online, which gives me a flexible schedule to work around. Also, I love animals, so it’s a great way to spend my time! I am able to put dogs in crates and give them any needed medication. I’m very attentive and responsible, and will treat them as if they are my own!
About: Are you looking for someone in Florida to care for your beloved fur baby? You’ve come to the right place! As a lifelong animal lover and professional animal caretaker, I’m here to give your pet the love and attention they deserve. Whether you need a dependable helping hand or a new friend for your pet, I’d be more than happy to help. Just reach out, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible! I’m currently working full-time but I’ll still have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! Feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to share my schedule for the week. I provide an open space for dogs to roam freely, including both the living room and garage. However, I do require that you bring a crate for your dog. This is important in case I need to step out for an extended period, if your dog doesn’t get along with others, or if they are not potty trained or tend to mark indoors.
About: Hi! I work remotely and plan on staying in Salt Lake City in the month of August-October. I’m available for house and dog sitting. I’m a huge animal lover and had a rescue dog of my own who sadly passed away last year. Since my work and travel schedule doesn’t allow me to have a dog right now, I truly miss being around them, which is why I joined Rover. My goal is to provide reliable, high-quality care and build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. Thanks to my flexible schedule, I’m also happy to help with last-minute bookings whenever possible. I’m here to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies! I work from home so the dogs will always be next to me and won't have separation anxiety. I always make time to play and love taking dogs for walks! I have a fenced yard and one dog. There is a park near my house and I always make sure the dogs are on a leash and harness.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 580 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Indian Lake Estates. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Indian Lake Estates walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Indian Lake Estates maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Indian Lake Estates choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Indian Lake Estates. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 88% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
