About: I’ve had my own dog for about 4 years, so I’m used to the day-to-day stuff—walks, feeding, keeping a routine, and just paying attention to how they’re doing. I have a large fenced yard at my house so your dog will have a lot of room to play with! I’ve also watched pets for friends and family here and there. I’m pretty laid back, but I take instructions seriously and make sure pets are comfortable and taken care of. Happy to send updates and photos while you’re away. Whether your pet wants to play a lot or just chill, I can match their vibe. I’m a homemaker, so I have a pretty flexible schedule and a lot of availability during the day and evenings. I also have reliable transportation, so I can be consistent and on time. I take pet care seriously and make sure to follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible. I pay attention to details, keep a clean and safe environment, and make sure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. I’m always happy to communicate and will send regular updates and photos so you have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life! I’ve done everything from fostering to raising litters of puppies and kittens. I’m an active person so there is no shortage of playtime. I’m very dedicated to providing the love and support pets need! Caring for pets is always a priority of mine as I currently own a dog and cat myself. I work part time so my schedule is very flexible. I have a spare bedroom in my house with a large mattress for pets to rest on. There is space for a crate if needed. My backyard is very spacious. My area is fairly quiet as I live outside the city. I also have a very friendly dog and cat so your pets can have new friends (can be separated if needed).

About: Hello! My name is Kelley and I have lots of furry children. I have four Siberian Huskies and a Shiba Inu and they make life fun and adventurous! I have experience working with cats and dogs of all sizes and behaviors. I also have experience caring for rabbits as I had my own. Growing up I volunteered at the VCA Adoption center where we took care of the animals looking for homes and spent a few years of my adult life volunteering and running a rescue. I absolutely love animals and treat all exactly as I would want someone to treat my own. 😁 I am available most evenings after 4PM or anytime on Thursdays. I try to be as flexible as I can for last minute bookings to assist in any way I can. My entire front yard is fenced in with 6ft chain link fencing. It has a mini agility course as a fun activity for the dogs. I also have extra crates and can crate if/when needed. If I am coming to your home I will treat it and your pets with love and respect.

About: I’ve had dogs in the home since I was a small child and host small dogs (under 20 pounds) in my home. I'm new to booking through Rover, but can supply references, if requested. I’m excited to open my door (and heart) to your pup for day visits or overnights. I have one super tough 6 pound Shihtzu-Chihuahua in the house so your pups must be friendly with other dogs. I also have experience with puppies and caring for senior dogs. I work from home so I'm at home all day and night during the week. On weekends, I'm never gone for more than 3- 4 hours at any one time. Most of the time, I'm home with the fur babies. I have a house with ample room to welcome up to 2 dogs (same owner) at a time. I have a fenced back yard area allowing for exercise and free roaming. I never leave pets outdoors unattended. Dog's will normally sleep in my bed with me, but totally fine if they prefer their own bed in my room.

“Ken was just fabulous. Arranging the stay couldn't have been easier, and he made me so comfortable leaving Rosie with him. He's obviously an animal lover, and Rosie opened up to him immediately. Throughout the morning, he sent photos and updates - including of a lovely hike along a bucolic nearby stream. Come afternoon, I picked up a tired and happy dog. Rosie will miss him.”

About: As a military spouse I have helped care for our dogs and many of our neighbors dogs as well. From large to small, I love dogs of all kinds. I enjoy walking and playing with dogs, and our own dog loves the company of other dogs. I am a mom and am in nursing school, but pet care is the highlight of my day. My schedule is open during weekends during the school semester, and outside of that I'm fulltime at home. I have a fenced in yard and a dog and cat friendly home. I also have children at home, but they are 10 and up. I prefer dogs crated at night, but during the day they are allowed to roam inside or out in the fenced backyard and will be well taken care of with lots of friendly petting in my home.

I keep lots of treats in my kit including cat treats, cat nip, dog treats, calming pheromone spray & highly digestible bones. I enjoy cooking for pets when I can, making it feel more like going to Grandma's house instead of day care 😉 I am very attentive to moods and behaviors, while also going above and beyond to make sure they feel safe. I have treated sick animals, given medications, assisted in giving injections, and followed food regimens. I've been bitten by several different kinds of animals, so I know how to deal with the not-so-fun parts. I have plenty of energy to walk and play, toys, and my own reliable transportation. I've done extensive research on behaviors and relationships of pets and I'm always learning. I would be happy to write daily reports and/or take pictures, whatever makes you feel at ease. Outside of caring for my own animals, I'm not very busy, so if you need a last minute service, I will likely be available. I can transport animals in my car and also have a female German Shepherd who is fixed and is sweet as can be, if your pup would like a play mate! I'm always looking for new spots to walk & hike, making sure your bestie doesn't get bored ☺️ I strive to work with pet parents to provide high standard, seamless care for every animal & your peace of mind. There is nothing I won't do to ensure the safety & happiness of your pet. Frivolous is not in my vocabulary 🫡 I take care of my animals daily, but have plenty of free time for yours! Morning, afternoon or evening, I'm available for your pet care needs. My pets are well taken care of and honestly a little spoiled 🤭. We have different foods for different cat needs, we don't use cheap food brands in our household. Our dog is walked at least 5 times a week, sometimes more. Each animals gets individual attention and plenty of pets. I make my own treats to give my dog her medicine and also try other pet recipes from time to time. All animals are vaccinated, de-wormed, and get vet check-ins annually.

“Katy took care of my 5-month-old puppy, Bagel, for three days while I was in the area taking a painting class. Bagel is a very sweet, social and energetic puppy who loves people and other dogs, but he can become overstimulated around other dogs and doesn’t always know how to settle himself yet. Although I had explained that ahead of time, I don’t think either Katy or I realized just how difficult it would be for him to settle in a new home with another dog around. Katy really did try hard to make him comfortable. She took him on walks, played with him, worked on calming him down, and even made a trip to the pet store for a stronger harness, leash, blanket, treats and other things she thought might help. She communicated with me throughout the day and was very honest when she felt Bagel was becoming more than she could comfortably manage for a full day. After two particularly challenging days, we agreed to shorten his third day. Interestingly, he seemed to be settling in better by then, and Katy ended up keeping him until about 2:00 rather than the noon pickup we had planned. Bagel was always happy to see Katy and willingly went with her each morning, which meant a lot to me. I also really liked Katy personally and appreciated how much she cared about making the situation work. Bagel was simply a much bigger handful in her home than I expected, and I think being around another dog all day made it especially hard for him to turn himself off and rest. I’m grateful for the effort Katy put in and for how much she genuinely cared about Bagel during his stay.”

My Macie Harper was recovering from her spay, and I did not feel comfortable to leave her home alone in her crate for any extended period of time due to a prior complication as well as maintaining a medication schedule. Melanie was professional, incredibly sweet, and excellent with communication! Her house is perfectly equipped for pet safety & comfort. Will absolutely use Melanie’s services again!! Can’t thank her enough!! My baby girl greeted us with a smile and tail wagging and gave Melanie a million kisses!!”
