“Chrissy was absolutely wonderful. My Poppy girl really enjoyed herself. Her playtime wore Poppy out. We are so glad we found Chrissy and I know Poppy is too. I would highly recommend her.”

“We needed to leave our dog for a week and were very happy with the care and attention he received at Savanah’s house. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend Savanah and would happily have our dog stay at her house again!”

“We couldn’t have found a better person to care for our German Shepherd. Karen was amazing and gave us updates and was very accommodating due to issues on my end. Thank you Karen!!”

“Our dogs had a great stay with Michael and Anne! They kept us updated with lots of pictures of our pups having fun. They kept the dogs active by walking them and letting them run around and play. We will definitely be using them again!”

“Eliza was great! Home was well equipped, she did great to introduce our pups with hers, was great with timely communication, and our pups left well cared for and happy!”

“Jamie did a great job with our Boston Terriers and she kept us up to date frequently. When my ‘finicky’ dog decided not to eat one day, Jamie communicated throughout day with me, we were able to discuss his sensitivities and ways to coax him, and he ate later. I appreciate her care of our puppies.”

“Our dog Martin always enjoys himself when he is at Josephine's home. Josephine is very caring and has taken great care of Martin. She takes him to the dog park, which he loves and long walks. When he comes home after visiting Josephine’s house he is so wore out from all the fun that he had, that he has to rest. Josephine is informative, send pictures, and is so easy to communicate with. Josephine will be my first choice for a dog sitter going forward.”

“We have sent our pup to Natalie many times now and she is consistently fantastic! She keeps us up to date with pictures and our dog always comes home happy. I would continue to recommend Natalie to anyone in need of dog sitting.”

“Rachel and Nicholas are great with giving my dog plenty of playtime and keeping me updated with info and pictures. They where also very accommodating when I had to add a day to the stay.”

“Jessica watched our dog while we were in town for a wedding. She was very responsive and a great communicator. We received pictures daily while he stayed with her. She was attentive to his health / diet and took him on walks so he could keep his normal schedule.”

“I think my boy, Ody, is happier at Karen’s home than he is anywhere else! She spends so much time playing with him and giving him love that he is always excited to go back. Highly recommended!”

About: I've housesat and taken care of dogs for friends and family members since I was a kid. I've been told I have an energy that animals really respond to. I can no longer have a pet of my own, and I miss my dog every day, I just want to be around dogs again, and help out pet parents. I just opened a bar on my own so it is practically impossible for me to have a dog full time, but my schedule is also flexible enough where I could make sure to give a lot of attention to a dog on a part time basis. I am happy to watch a dog at your home or mine, I have a fenced yard and plenty of parks and trails nearby to walk around.
“Libby took great care of our miniature schnauzer! Libby is great at communicating, sharing updates and photos. We will definitely have our dog stay with her again.”

“Holly has taken excellent care of my dog, Tito three times now. I always appreciate all the adorable pics and updates she sends on a daily basis. I feel reassured that Tito is in good hands”

“Kerri is a wonderful sitter! Our dog Luna has stayed with her family several times. Kerri sends me tons of pictures and keeps me updated. Luna gets to play with her dog friends and with Kerri’s kids. Every time we bring her to Kerri’s house, Luna runs up to the door.”

“Sarah and Jared are a wonderful couple, and obviously dog lovers. they took great care of my Luke while I was out of town, and even kept him despite some issues that occurred during the stay. I can highly recommend them for watching your beloved pup! Super nice folks with a fenced yard for pups to play and experienced dog sitters.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hubbells Corner home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hubbells Corner.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Hubbells Corner sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
