About: I grew up on the family farm surrounded by dogs and cats and all kinds of animals - caring for them was part of my life. That lifelong connection led me to volunteer at a local dog and cat shelter where I've gained even more experience with pets of all temperaments and needs. I treat every animal like family and I willl give your pet loving care whether it's for a quick walk or an overnight stay. I have a very flexible schedule so I can fully prioritize pet care. My days naturally revolve around the animals I am caring for and I enjoy creating routine that suits their needs. My home, farm in the woods, is calm and pet friendly space where animals can relax, go for walks or play. In client's home, I'm respectful of their space and routines, I communicate with the owner, send updates and make sure the pet has all my attention.

About: I’ve been a dog owner all of my life and always hated it when I had to kennel them for several hours and/or overnights. Always tried to look for people to help out with walks or play time. This is a great resource for those pets in need. Just looking to help your loved one get through those long days alone. I have a flexible job that I spend most of my time at home. It gives me the opportunity to do other things that I need done. I’m available most days. I have a large fenced in backyard and a dog of my own (Calvin). He loves other dogs and loves to have friends over. I’ve been a pet owner my whole life and want nothing but happiness and exercise for all.

About: I’ve provided everything from daily walks and drop-in visits to overnight stays and extended care. I’m comfortable administering medication, following detailed feeding routines, and providing enrichment to keep pets happy and stimulated. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and at home—even when you’re away. I work from home full time so I am home with pets at all times during the day. They will have constant care and attention. I have a super friendly dog to keep your pet company and access to a private dog park. Your pet will get the highest level of care when staying with me.

During bed time they would be with me unless requested by owner to be crated.

About: Hello! I am a stay at home mom to a 1.5 year old little girl and I am looking to make some extra cash for our family. I've owned dogs since I was a little girl. I have had two labs, one Boston terrier, one pug, and one chihuahua. My husband and I have two dogs of our own, a Mini Australian Shepard and a Lab/Dachshund mix. I love all animals and will dedicate my time to taking care of, having fun, and being a companion to them. I have always been a dog person, but have also owned a cat in the past. Therefore, I would love to care for both! My friends and family would describe me as a caring person with a big heart. I am very easygoing and down to Earth. I love caring for animals and children. About: Located on 10 acres in rural Hoyt, Kansas, Hughes & Hounds provides a spacious safe haven for your furry family members. Our set-up, previously used for dog breeding, includes two (working on three) spacious backyard pens that are the full package deal, including: big shade trees, big water bowls, a doggie igloo and free doggie treats (if you approve of course!). For a small additional fee, you may request a small dog pool in your dog's pen for the duration of their stay, for those hot summer months. Please note that our dog daycare and boarding services are OUTDOOR ONLY and really for farm/outside dogs, bigger dogs, or dogs with high energy. We will accept any sized dog as long as they’re used to staying outside during the day! With two young kids in the home, we will only bring your dogs inside if the owner provides a crate and only if requested for night time (with the exception of severe weather where they would be crated indoors as well). Our schedules are unique in that we are home most days, aside from running errands, and will be able to check on your furry pals often during their week & weekend stays with us. We are flexible and want to make sure your wishes are heard. So if you want us to play with your dogs, send you pictures, give treats - we are here for it. But if your dog prefers to not be bothered too much and is good with the essentials - we are here for that too. You tell us how we can provide the most comfortable atmosphere for your dogs. As far as experience goes, I've been a dog sitter on and off from elementary school through college and have volunteered lots of hours to our local shelter.... I love dogs and they're in good hands! :) This is a NEW and fun business adventure for our small family and we do not take it lightly! I stay at home with my kids and my husband's schedule allows him to be home more days than not so we feel confident that we can take good care of your dog(s) while they stay here. Since we have the space we thought "why not?" when it came to the idea of dog boarding. We were not using our back 3 pens, other than allowing our dogs to roam them. There were some escape artists when the pens were originally used for breeding, so safety features include covered corners so dogs are unable to climb up and out using the corner fencing. Cement was also laid around the boundaries of the pens so digging cannot occur. If your dog likes to jump fences that would be a concern and a reason why we may not be a good fit for you. Of course, plenty of cold, fresh water will always be available to your dog(s) during their stay.

About: I have been a professional trainer, handler and groomer for over a decade, providing excellent care for dogs, cats and other pets of all ages, sizes and care needs. I am also available for livestock care, with over two decades of experience with horses, cattle and most other hoofstock and flocks. I offer these services full time, so no need to worry about another job conflicting with your pet’s needs while in my care. I am able to devote my schedule to them. For my in home services, I have a yard that is set up with individual fenced areas, as well as having 4.5 acres that will soon be fully fenced in! For those bigger dogs who want to be able to run and stretch their legs more.I have two of my own dogs as well, as company for those who would enjoy a playmate. We do crate all guests for bedtime and meals. This ensures everyone can eat at their own pace, and in a safe environment. Same for bedtime. While we understand that your pet may sleep loose at home, we typically have guests from multiple households. Safety is our #1 priority and we don’t want to risk an issue overnight.
