About: I have a dog and 2 cats of my own so I consider myself experienced in pet care. I have dog sat for many years now for both neighbors and family. Since I have owned many cats over the years I also consider myself experienced in cat care. I don’t mind cleaning up after pets and I can give medicine to unwilling pets. About: I have pet sat for neighbors and family friends for years and for long periods of time. I have taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and fish. I also have experience working with reptiles and snakes as an intern for an environment education center. I took care of a box turtle, corn snake, and painted turtle. I am in college full time but am willing to watch or stop by when I am not currently taking a class. I am a junior at SUNY ESF. About: I grew up with a Rottweiler mix pup who became my best friend as a child. Understanding the importance of that relationship now is why I want to help others look after their pups. I currently have a 8 month old male border collie/ poodle mix who is my driving force. When we need assistance with him, we want someone who will love and care for him like we do when we’re away. About: Growing up my family owned a dog as well as a cat, and I helped tend to the care of both animals in the home. On the other hand, for any drop in visits or walks I am free after I get out of work at 2pm to assist in any late afternoon care! As well as my open availability on the weekends I can not unfortunately offer to care for pets in my own home, as it is unfenced and has a cat residing that does best as a single pet. This is something I can recognize, so it is best that I come to the clients home. A pet communicates with people in so many ways, and the best way to create a safe environment for both you and the pet is to understand those behaviors. I have a good understanding of reading an animal and when boundaries are being set, whether they are done with play time and need space, or need some extra attention. Any pet care details left by the owner, I follow very closely to give the pet the closest experience they can get to a typical day in the home with the owner.
