“She had a nice place with room separators for the dogs. My puppy was EXHAUSTED when I got him so that means he was playing nearly the entire time which Dawn said. He was fed and taken to the potty. What more can you ask for? 10/10 would recommend and use again! Thanks Dawn!”

“I was very nervous to leave my furbabies. Susan was very reassuring and eased my fears. She sent daily updates and pictures. It’s very obvious that she’s an animal lover. Highly recommend and will book with her again.”

“Jaclyn was flexible, kind, considerate, communicative, and handled Nova so sweetly! She made her right at home, and it was very thoughtful of her to send a couple pix to reassure me she was doing fine. I completely recommend her to anyone!!”

“Daniel was an amazing caregiver for Benny. He constantly sent me photos and updates + he was really flexible when my flight got delayed. I would recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a temporary home for your pet while you’re away.”

“Our dog was so happy staying with Jill, which made us happy. She provides a safe, fun, and loving environment where dogs can romp and socialize. She also kept us posted with comments, pictures, and videos. We now feel we have a place where we can feel comfortable leaving our dog, and heartily recommend Jill!”

“We were first time Rover users and were very nervous. Beth and Ron sent updates and lots of pics, of both leisure time and play time (glad Sophie Belle had their two dogs as friends for the week). Sophie Belle was kept cool and comfortable, like a princess, during the heat wave, too! Thank you, Beth and Ron!”

“Hanna was great to work with and kept us updated with pics while we were gone....Would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter...Hope to have Hanna watch our dog again in the future....”

“Denise did a great job with our puppers! They warmed up very quickly to Denise and her family. Everyone in the family were very affectionate with Ollie and Daisy, so I know that made them feel right at home. I had no concerns leaving our dogs there and would use her again in a heart beat!”

“Our pup stayed with Anmei for week and came home happy, healthy and relaxed. This was the first time we had ever left her that long but Anmei took such great care of her that we do not have any reservations about doing so again. Thank you, Anmei, for being such a great Bee keeper! ♥️”

About: Hi, I’m Jordan a lifelong dog owner with professional kennel experience and a Biology degree. I bring both heart and expertise to every pup in my care. My home sits on 6 gorgeous acres of waterfront property in Princess Anne, Maryland, giving dogs plenty of space to roam and explore. I work from home, so your dog will be well watched and cared for while you’re away. Requirements Since my property is unfenced, I ask that all guests be: • House trained • Crate trained • Recall trained or e-collar trained • Up to date on flea & tick prevention Your dog won’t just be watched they’ll be on their own little vacation. 🐾 I work from home full time, I am extremely flexible and live on 6 acres of land that includes waterfront for your dog to join my dog dude in swimming and playing fetch in the yard. 6 acres are not fenced but I can walk on leash, tether to a lead or allow off leash if they have good recall/remote training. Please provide crates for indoors.
“Our dogs can be challenging and this was the first time they've ever been boarded. McCray did a great job taking care of them and giving them tons of attention...all during the holidays, which is not easy.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals my entire life. I used to live on a farm with goats, horses, chickens, cats, and dogs. My favorite breed is a cocker spaniel. I currently work from home all day long so I am available for around the clock attention. Pets are like family members. We all engage with each other all the time. I take breaks often and play in the backyard with the pets. My kids also loves to experience new animals in the house. We also have a great neighborhood to walk the animals.
About: I have 5 huskies ages 9,7,5,3 and 1. Highly intelligent with the energy to match in which we walk/run 2-5 miles each day then we end it with a treat. Im working full time with availability to walk your pups everyday after 430. A walk a day keeps the stress away for the animal and myself I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to run, play and dig to bury something if wanted. Leash will wrap around waist for extra protection and stability.
About: I have my own dog and cat, and I love animals. I love to spend time with them and bond with them! You can always find me cuddled up with my cat haha I'm taking a college class from home so I'm available pretty much whenever! If you need me to stay at home, I can definitely do that! Again, I have my own cat and dog and they are very friendly. I am committed to making sure your pets feel safe and comfortable.
About: I currently have a cat and a golden retriever and would love to help you take care of your dog while you are in need. I work from home Monday through Friday so my schedule allows me to be very flexible for potty breaks and general playtime while I'm taking care of your best friend. We have over 3/4 of an acre of property and are also located in the heart of Berlin...So a walk or outside playtime is no problem.

“Brenda did a terrific job watching over and caring for our dogs. She asked good questions, showed genuine concern for their care and kept us in the loop. She has a great place for them to run around in a secured fenced-in yard and a spacious home for them to play. I really think you can’t go wrong with her.”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Horntown home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
