I have decades of experience taking care of dogs, including my own, friends', and dogs in rescues and shelters. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home as an editor, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.

About: Hello, I have lived in the area for 35 years. Moved away for a few years then returned I ‘am looking to offer my services as a pet sitter/house sitter/baby sitter. References are available upon request, but I have worked with several different dogs/cats varying in size from a Toy Poodle to large dogss. The needs vary from just needing a walk once a day to full time care while the owner is away. A little bit about myself, I am a part time NCMA for Providence at the Occupational Travel Heath Clinic. For fun, I enjoy running, crossfit, my kids, hiking, and exploring the Oregon/ Washington area. I am more than happy to keep your animals company while you're away and will take them with me on outdoors activities as long as you give me approval. Pricing for services is normally range between 25-50 dollars per day depending upon the level of care your pets need. I currently have a Mini Labradoodle, Maisy, who enjoys playing with other dogs of any size and is extremely sweet. Don't have any pets but still want someone to watch your house? About: 5 months of volunteer experience in a private shelter in Romania, taking care of 80+ dogs at any given time. Recently adopted one of the dogs from the shelter. Dogs and cats have always been present in my family. On M/W/F, at 8AM-2:30PM, I attend massage school in Portland. On the days I go to school, I do have periods of time, early morning and early evening, to check on your fur babies. Aside from that, my free days, Tue/Thur/Sat/Sun, are fully open for whatever frequency is needed to check on your animals. I have a fenced yard with two dogs that are social. Occasionally there is a cat present. I’m fully comfortable taking your dogs on walks, playing with them, or just sitting and keeping them company.
