“Jane is wonderful. It was so comforting leaving our senior citizen pup with her for the day. Jane sent photos and updates throughout, and when we arrived home at the end of the night, our dog was peaceful and relaxed - a sign that she was very happy! Will absolutely call upon Jane again and give her our highest recommendation. Thanks, Jane!”

“Tamilyn is so wonderful! She was respectful of our home and very attentive to our Ruby. She went above and beyond making sure she was comfortable while we were away. We had great communication with picture updates. I highly recommend her to watch anyone's furbabies! We will definitely be requesting her again!”

“Sierra was great with our dogs, and they were very calm and content when we arrived back from our trip. She also helped out with a couple household things, that was greatly appreciated! She sent an update everyday as well.”

About: I have experience with various different types of animals including cats, and dogs. I love how special and unique each animal is and I love to get to know them and getting to know their personalities. I am working full time and going to school I typically don't work mornings and a couple days during the week I am off and I can stop by and check on them throughout the week. I do anything and everything I can do to take the best care of them, and I always make their health top priority. And treat them like royalty and babies
About: Ever since my husband and I got our own dog we just love the idea of taking care of other pets. I understand how it feels when you go places or on vacation or whatever and you cannot take your furbabies with you. This reason is why we love taking care of our friends pets when they are away. It will ONLY be myself working and dog sitting. My husband is not part of this, he has his own things to do, and he watches our own furbaby. I am a full-time student and I only have 2 days out of 7 that are in person. I am flexible most of the days. Oh my boy is spoiled but not too spoiled. I always groom my dog by myself every other day. We put him first because hes our furbaby (even though he is 6 years old). We take him on walks twice a day for 15-30mins. I always offer to groom my friends pets that we look after; only if their furbaby allows it. For my friends with cats, I usually pet the cats after I take care of their dishes (food&water) only if they allow it.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs most of my life. I’m the first person my family or friends call to come house sit for them so they don’t have to board their animals. I do some light house work, hangout with the animals, and give them lots of love while their parents are away I’m currently a single stay at home mom so my schedule is pretty flexible. I can do weekends or weekdays- let’s try and make it work with your schedule I’ll play with the animals outside as much as possible. Take them on a walks if they do not of great recall and in my free time in between taking care of the animals I do some light house work
About: I am a human mom, dog mom, and teacher looking to make some extra income throughout the summer. In this family, we’re always around animals. For questions or wanting to schedule care, please reach out! As a teacher, I have the majority of summers off. I’ll be home each day looking for something to keep busy outside of caring for my kids. In previous jobs my responsibilities included taking care of 1-4 pets at a time (cats and dogs). I was asked to feed them and let them outside. On top of this I played with them, took them on walks, gave them treats and attention, and brushed them. I can take on any pet responsibilities you may need when out of the home.

Whether it be anxiety, past traumas, assessing when they prefer more space or attention etc. I apply this experience to all pets with an empathetic and intuitive approach. Whether it’s talking with your pet or making sure to stop when your pet wants more time to sniff around on walks to giving them a little extra love and affection if they’re feeling anxious. Thank you for your consideration; please feel free to message me with any questions. Thank you. -I currently provide services on Rover Part-time. About: I have owned and taken care of dogs since I was a child. My best friend Sadie (aka Tater Dog) was almost 12 when she passed a few years ago. We currently have one Blue Healer female dog (3yrs). I am a stay at home mom and am able to give your pet the full time attention they need and want during the day. I will care for your pets every need as if they were mine. I wouldn’t want anyone unreliable or untrustworthy to take care of my pets.
“Xion was amazing! They went above and beyond in home sitting our dog over our Thanksgiving vacation. From near-daily text and photo updates, to even shoveling snow from our driveway and sidewalk, they really took care of everything and more. So grateful and would absolutely book again!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life. They’ve grown with me and I’ve grown with them. I’ve trained many dogs and pups of all kind! Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to add the experience of my wonderful kitty. He has been such a joy and light in my life, and I hope to treat your pets with that same joy! Usually I feed my two pups and walk them daily. I make sure they’re groomed once a day (brushing, etc) and play with them or cuddle them constantly! I have a fenced yard and two dogs. They love people and playing. When I head upstairs into my living room in the morning it’s filled with tummy rubs and kisses as well as treats!
About: I've always loved pets. When I was 8, I received a book about dog care and breeds and studied it until I'd nearly had it memorized. I got my first dog when I was 11 and trained her myself. When she had puppies (through a certified breeder), I was responsible for de-sensitization and counterconditioning trainings. I love volunteering at the animal shelter while I'm unable to have pets due to my apartment. I can promise to give your pets almost as much love as you do! I'm currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to play with and care for your dog or cat! If I have enough notice (around 3-5 days) ahead of time, I can make most arrangements work! My apartment currently does not allow for pets, so they will not be visiting my personal home but I will care for your pet in your home with your rules! Feel free to leave me as many detailed and personalized instructions as your pet may need :)
“We booked with Elva and Matt for house sitting while we were on vacation. Our previous planned sitter had cancelled last minute and we are honestly so happy they did so we could meet Matt and Elva! Blu absolutely loved them and they took great care of him, as well as the house. Their communication was amazing and we got daily photos and updates of our little guy! We will definitely be booking again☺️”

About: Because of allergies in my own home, I don’t have pets of my own. This means that when I am with your dog or cat, they have my 100% undivided attention and affection. I’m not just a sitter; I’m someone who truly cherishes the time I get to spend with animals. I treat every walk and every visit as the 'pet fix' I don't get at home, giving your furry family member the extra belly rubs, long walks, and genuine companionship they deserve. I offer a consistent routine that fits perfectly into a busy work week, along with the flexibility needed for those long weekend getaways: • Weekdays: I am available for evening walks, feedings, and playtime to help your pet unwind after you’ve had a long day at the office. • Weekends (Friday – Sunday): I have full flexibility! Whether it’s an extra-long hike on a Saturday morning or full-day companionship while you're out of town, I’m available to ensure your pet never feels lonely. I believe the best way to keep a pet stress-free while you're away is to stick to their established "house rules." Whether it’s specific feeding times, a preferred walking route, or making sure they aren't allowed on the couch, I follow your instructions to the letter. I want your pet to feel like their day-to-day life hasn't skipped a beat. I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own. I am naturally detail-oriented and responsible, ensuring that: • Doors and gates are always double-checked and locked. • The living space is kept clean and exactly as you left it.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Honeyville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Honeyville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Honeyville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
