“My wife and I couldn't be happier for the attention and care Anita gave our doggie, Doodles. She was always on time, sent pics and responded quickly to any questions we had. We highly recommend Anita, she's the best. Doodles says, woof, woof ( I agree)! We will definitely use her again. Thanks Rover”

“Kylie was wonderful and did a great job taking care of my two cats while I was away! I would absolutely recommend her, and I already have her rebooked for other upcoming dates this month!”

“Nicole has done drop by visits with our high-energy lab on several occasions now, and has even graciously accepted last minute drops ins when we've been in a bind. Highly recommend her! She is very reliable, sends great updates, and she is consistent and responsible. Thanks so much!”

“Cristina is an exceptional pet sitter! She did drop-in visits for my pets while I was away on a work trip, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Her communication is impeccable—she kept me consistently updated and sent amazing photos. She thinks of everything and asks all the right questions upfront, which made it so much easier to be away knowing my pets were in great hands. Highly recommend Cristina to anyone looking for reliable, thoughtful care!”

About: Beyond the care for my own personal doggies, I have 5 years of experience working at a premier doggy day care and boarding facility, Camp Bow Wow. Here, I cared for many dogs at once all varying in breeds, size and ages. I was responsible for supervising play time, feeding, administering medications, basic grooming and cleaning. I have also had experience with my own personal pet care boarding service out of my home where I have mostly cared for dogs in my home but have house/farm sat for clients. I'm currently in veterinary school so my schedule can be sparse at times. I am available on the weekends as well as Wednesday mornings with the potential for some afternoon care the rest of the week days. I care for others pets just as I would my own. When I care for pets in their own home, I love and care for them just as I would mine and uphold any special request the owners leave for me. I like to send photos and precise updates to owners while caring for their pets. I can relate to the desire to hear from a pet sitter since I have my own!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and caring for them is truly one of my favorite things. I’ve owned and cared for 10 dogs of all different breeds, personalities, and ages including labs, a husky, a French bulldog, a basset hound, and several rescue mutts. I’ve helped raise puppies, cared for senior pets, and worked with dogs who needed extra patience and understanding. I have also had cats my entire life, including my current 17 year old cat who I’ve grown up with. I understand that every cat is different and I love getting to know them at their own pace. In addition to my personal experience, I’ve volunteered with my local animal shelter for years. Through volunteering I’ve worked with dogs of all temperaments, including reactive and anxious dogs, and have learned how important patience, consistency, and positive interactions are. I am confident handling energetic dogs, nervous pets, and animals who need a little extra time to warm up. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind that they’re in caring and capable hands. I know how hard it is to leave your pets behind, so I make sure to send plenty of photos and updates so you always know they’re happy and well cared for. I currently only work Monday-Thursday so my weekends are completely free for your pets! I can spend as much time or as little time as works best for my client with their pets. If you have a clingy pet that needs someone there with them all day I can do that or if you’re animal prefers some alone time and has a schedule to stick to I can also do that. Really whatever will make you and your pet the most comfortable I am happy to do! Since I am house sitting I can adapt to fit what your pet needs! I can follow a schedule if that’s what your pet needs or I am also comfortable with just going at your pets pace.

About: I have 3 very spoiled large dogs! I used to breed Heelers, so I have experience with pregnant dogs and even delivering puppies. I usually just take care of the yorkies that my family members have here, but I figured I could go ahead and expand. I currently use rover when I go out of town, so I know how I expect my dogs to be taken care of and I will be just as great to your pets! I also have experience with farm animals too. I used to have a small farm with cows, pigs, sheep, goats and chickens. So if you have any additional needs we can discuss it! I also have experience with cats too! I work for the schools, so I am currently off for the summer. My availability is very open until the middle of August! I would say my daily availability is from 6am-11pm unless you book me for over night. I will take care of your pets exactly how you would like. I know how stressful it can be on pets when their owners are away so they will be extra loved on!
About: I’ve had pets of all different shapes and sizes. I’ve had hermit crabs, hamsters, cats, dogs, bunnies, and the list goes on! I love animals & have experience taking care of elderly dogs requiring medications & specialized foods. I currently have my dog nugget! I work from home and my job provides extreme flexibility, so I can accommodate busy schedules. I have lived in the area for over 5 years, and currently stay in Conway. I can take careful consideration to make sure I meet the needs of each & every individual pet. I can take care of any walking, crating, feeding, etc.
“Annaliese took amazing care of my cat during a week-long trip that suddenly turned into 10 days as a result of travel complications. She went above and beyond by agreeing to do extra visits to care for my boy while I was stuck out of state. She sent plenty of pictures of her cuddling and playing with him, kept up communication with me, and left the house just as I left it. Peace of mind that your pet is okay is everything when you’re trying to enjoy a vacation, and Annaliese’s care assured me that my boy was in great hands. Thank you!!”

“We are so happy to have had Belkis care for our pup. We did the Myrtle Beach Marathon and needed help with our dog while we were running. Belkis came the day before to meet Toby and find our camp spot as we were also camping at the beach. She was wonderful with him and so accommodating to us. I highly recommend using Belkis for your pet care needs!”

About: I have grown up around animals. I have had cats and dogs.I currently live with two dogs. I truly love all types of animals 🤍 I can be available for housesitting as well as pet sitting as this allows me to be more flexible while still working my full-time job. (Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00). I currently have Saturday and Sundays off so I can be available in the early morning, afternoon, and evenings. I can not offer availability in my home at this time but at the clients house I would make sure the animal is comfortable with me first. I would make sure of they don't have a fenced in area that they are on a leash and make sure they have plenty of exercise and cuddles before I leave!

About: I am looking to pet sit a dog/cat on the regular each week. I go to school at Coastal Carolina University, making it hard to find a part time job with my schedule being kind of wacky. Making this my main job is my goal, as well as providing the best care and experience for your pets. Animals have a huge impact on me and I really think they are such a special blessing in life I am taking Summer classes, getting done around 11 a.m Monday-Friday. I’m pretty available besides the early morning though! I’m willing to do multiple visits a day as well(: Right now I live in student housing so I unfortunately cannot board pets. Although, I have had animals my whole life so I am very used to raising/taking care of pets

“Everything went great! I knew Ashley would be a great fit after meeting her, you immediately get a great vibe from her. Jax (and even my kids lol) loved her. The stay went well, came home to a clean house and happy dog 🤎”

About: Ever since I was a child animals have always been my favorite. I provide personalized care for each pet, whether it’s an energetic puppy needing training or a senior dog who needs extra attention and gentle walks. I’m reliable, patient, and love making pets feel safe and happy while their owners are away. I'm currently a college sophomore with classes only on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I have plenty of time for your pets! Whether it's for a short walk or a whole day of fun I'm around. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain routines, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Homewood
Ashley did a great job caring for my pets. She was on time for each visit and communicated throughout the long weekend. I especially enjoyed the pictures she sent so I could see for myself that everyone was doing great and having fun. I would highly recommend her!!
We are very happy with Sarah! I have a large pet family that are very shy, not used to having house guests and who have never had a pet sitter before and she was very sensitive to our needs. I have 2 senior dogs, 13 & 14 and I was worried they would take time to warm up to her, but on the second visit they ran right up to her with wagging tails! I have 5 cats, 4 of which were rescued as semi feral about a year 1/2 ago. She was playing and petting one of my shy cats like they were old friends by the second visit. I really appreciate her awareness of my pets sensitivities and her ability to make them feel comfortable! She is also willing to work with me as a helicopter pet mom so we couldn’t be happier that we’ve found someone I feel safe leaving my babies with!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
