“Alanna was amazing. She was prompt with checking on Katsu and took a lot of pictures, which I appreciate. We will definitely rebook if we need someone to watch our cat again. Thank you so much Alanna!!”

About: I started dog sitting in high school for neighbors and friends. I watched a range of puppies to senior dogs. I love running and being outside and it would be better with a furry companion! I am a current full time student but with a fairly flexible schedule. I will be residing in Virginia for the school year and North Carolina for the summers. I can make short visits throughout the day or later visits on the weekends! I will do my best to work with your pets schedule. I grew up with dogs and currently have 3 at home. They have a strict eating schedule and enjoy spontaneous walks. I enjoy playing with them when they have bursts of energy or just being around when they’re napping. Any kind of instructions given at a clients home will be followed accordingly.

“Danielle was a fantastic dog/cat sitter! She always kept us up to date with her check in’s. My dog was happy to have someone to hang out with while we were gone. We will definitely use her again. Thanks Danielle!”

“Luann took such great care of our cats for us while We were out of town! She had great communication and kept us updated With lots of pictures! We would highly recommend and work with her again!”

About: With my experience of caring for my family’s small yorkies for the past 14 years, I say that my skills are mostly surrounded in the area of caring for older animals. Although in more recent years I have only had smaller pets, bigger pets are not out of range for me since I often care for my neighbors golden retrievers. I am a full time undergrad student who also works part time at a local brewery, although that may mean that my hours are limited, I often see pet sitting as luxury to help me connect with nature and take time out of my typical homework schedule. I strive to create a welcoming and safe environment for the pets whenever I am caring for them. This can include daily walks, regular feeding schedules, and ample playtime. I also prioritize cleanliness and do not mind brushing and bathing the animals to keep them clean and healthy

“Megan has been wonderful! Our dog is very timid to new people, and she took to Megan instantly! She is always quick to respond to messages and requests, and you can tell she truly cares for your pets as if they were her own. She has even brought delivered packages in from off our porch, so that they would be safe inside our home while we were at work. We will continue to have Megan care after our pets, and we would highly recommend her to anyone in the surrounding area!”

“Lana was an excellent sitter for my cat! She was always very quick with responses and followed care instructions perfectly. I would recommender her in a heartbeat!”

“Luckaia is great, very friendly and caring, communication is great, and I am very grateful for that! Now I feel much more comfortable being away from my dog, knowing that our furry girl is in good, loving hands. Thanks a lot, Luckaia!”

“Kaleigh was fantastic with my pups. She took amazing care of my dogs, kept me up to date with what was going on, and helped me feel comfortable leaving without my dogs! Would recommend her to everyone!”

About: Hello, my name is Faith. I’ve been pet-sitting for 12 years and absolutely love all types of animals, both big and small. I have experience taking care of and walking all types of dogs and cats. Not only do I provide a great service for them, I also provide the love and affection that the owner would give if they were present. I work from home so am available to the animals all day. My neighborhood has lots of walking trails that I’d love to enjoy with your pup. We also have a dog park nearby that I love to take my own dog to that I can take your pup to (with parents permission of course!). I am happy to accommodate special requests. I even have grooming / bathing experience from my own pup as well. My goal is for you, the pet owner, to enjoy your time away and have the rest taken care of for your fur baby. With two pets of my own, I understand how important this is to pet owners. If you have any questions about my services, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. I work from home - so I am home all day every day to care for your pet. This helps me be extra flexible and to meet your pets need. Also, they will never be lonely! I have a large indoor space for your pet, pet beds, toys, treats and whatever your pet desires! Your pet will be safe, cared for and loved while in my care.

“Maddie is great! She did drop-in visits with our 12yo pup and made sure to send photos each day. We appreciated her flexibility to do a meet and greet prior to the booking as well. 5 stars!”

About: Hey guys - I’m Jenna! I am a full time pet lover and a full time certified dental assistant. For as long as I can remember, I have always felt connected to animals. Yes, most times more so than humans! 🤗 I have extensive experience in caring for many different pets. Large and small breed dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, etc. There is truly NO animal that I wouldn’t be happy to learn to take care of. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had some type of animal in my home. I grew up with 10+ cats, numerous dogs and hamsters among other pets. This past January, my partner, Matt & I and our 10 year old daughter, Izzy, rescued a 4 year old American Pit Terrier mix named Winnie. And we are in LOVE! As a couple who has always had a soft spot for pitties, this is the third we have owned one together. Winnie was at a foster with 7 other dogs, numerous cats & a 4 year old and has time and time again shown to be great with all three! As far as boarding another pet, we are unfortunately up in the air at the moment and would have to take each animal on a pet to pet basis. Since we’ve gotten her she has shown no signs of aggression towards other animals or kids and we are open to the possibility if we schedule a time for our pets to meet! As mentioned before, Matt & I have owned pitties for the past 5 years off and on. We have gone through training with a few as well. After the heartbreak of losing 2 of our best friends (our fur babies, of course) in this time, we took a break and decided to foster and pet sit in our time of grieving. We have fostered/petsat 6 dogs of all different breeds. Even two of the sweetest deaf pitties in which we have petsat a handful of times. Throughout the years petsitting them, we have been lucky enough to advance in our knowledge in Deaf Dog Sign Language (DDSL). In the year 2024, we spent more time fostering or petsitting a dog than without. To put it simply, Matt and I have always had a huge heart for animals of all kind. We believe our pets are OUR FAMILY; they DESERVE the absolute BEST care possible. As I mentioned before, I am a dental assistant, but my passion has and will forever be animals! The petcare will be my responsibility unless otherwise notified. In any other instance, my partner, Matt will be there to assist. He has a very flexible job that allows him to be available most days around or after 12pm. We look forward to meeting all of your sweet pets! Please feel free to message with any questions or concerns. Every other week I have Mondays and Fridays off. The other weeks I work Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8-5. As mentioned before, Matt and I are available pretty much every weekend and all weekdays. For weekdays, visiting/walking/feeding/check-ins we can do up to three visits. We have about 2 acres fenced in for our fur baby, Winnie and our 10 year old daughter, Izzy! (Izzy is also super helpful & has our animal loving genes 😆) No pet we have ever had has stayed outside overnight and having the land, we always have time to play if and when your pet wants! We have crate trained in the past and we have not. We believe every animal is different in their needs. Winnie currently does not go in a crate when we leave. As mentioned before, a boarding situation would be a pet by pet basis. We would require a meeting prior to the boarding arrangement.

About: What truly sets me apart is my hands-on experience and genuine passion for dogs of all ages and personalities. I'm raising and caring for an amazing pup of my own, Edgar, and the handful of dogs from my childhood, which has given me firsthand experience in everything from house training energetic puppies to providing gentle, attentive care for senior dogs. I’m patient, observant, and deeply committed to making every walk or stay a safe, fun, and comforting experience for your pet. I understand basic canine body language, and tailor my approach to match your dog’s unique energy level, needs, and personality. Whether your dog needs a brisk walk to burn off energy, a slow stroll due to age or mobility, or simply a calm presence while you're away—I’m here to provide trustworthy, loving care as if they were my own :) I am currently on my summer break as a teacher so my schedule is free for walking or checking in on the pups as needed When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine consistent and their environment calm and comfortable. I follow all instructions carefully—feeding schedules, walk times, medication, and any special routines—because I know even the smallest detail can make a big difference in your pet’s comfort. I keep things clean and respectful—your home is treated with the same care and professionalism as your pet. I make sure pets have fresh water, mental stimulation, exercise, and most importantly, affection and attention while you're away. I’m also happy to send photo updates so you can stay connected with your pet no matter where you are. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, loved, and stress-free in their familiar space while you’re gone.

“We love Allie! She has taken care of our dogs twice now. Last week when I was out of the country, several work commitments came up for my husband that were unexpected. Allie was able to help with our dogs that day. Thank you, Allie!”

Holly Ridge dog parents share their Rover experiences
Brooke was absolutely wonderful! Another booking fell through so we reached out to her last minute for drop-in visits for our dog and she was so responsive and was able to accommodate a quick meet and greet. She immediately put us at ease that our dog was in great hands. She was so communicative, sending updates, photos and videos all week to let us know how Bear was doing. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
