About: I understand that we live in a busy world so when you book me I make sure to treat your dog(s) like my own! I always feel accomplished when I bring a dog home that has been worn out, and I'm always patient with dogs that are not so easy on walks (big dogs, reactive dogs, dogs who are anxious and dont really like walks). I have lived in Austin for 22 years and I am familiar with many neighborhoods and parks so I am able to take your pup on longer, more mentally stimulating walks rather than just walking around the same block again and again! I was worried that this being my first time using Rover, and Ollie being a new addition to my family that he would push boundaries and give her a hard time as he can be stubborn, but she demonstrated knowledge and experience when interacting with him that alleviated any worry I had. The updates made me incredibly happy as Ollie can be an anxious boy, and here I was seeing him calm, relaxed, and very well behaved in the photos giving me steps on what she did to get him in a calm and relaxed state. I currently work full time as a veterinary technician, but I’m available Saturday’s and Sundays all day, including overnight to pet sit your fur babies. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. As someone with hands-on veterinary experience, I understand how important it is to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel secure and cared for. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs to ensure they receive personalized attention and compassionate care. I am attentive to their behavior, practice safe handling, follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, and take extra precautions during walks, playtime, and interactions with other animals. I live in a one bedroom apt where I have dog park access as well as a bathing room. I also believe communication is essential, so I am happy to provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and at home while giving their owners confidence that their furry family members are in trustworthy, caring hands.

About: Howdy! :) I’m Skylar! I’m a kindergarten teacher and currently pursuing my master’s in Special Education at UT Austin. While completing my online program, I’m spending my time babysitting, pet sitting, and traveling, which means I have a super flexible schedule and plenty of availability for your pets! I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals, both personally and professionally. Growing up on my uncle’s cattle ranch, I gained hands-on experience caring for all kinds of furry friends. I’ve also cared for plenty of smaller pets, including dogs, cats, and hamsters. My background has given me experience with a wide variety of animals, personalities, and needs. As a teacher, I’m patient, responsible, attentive, and experienced in creating a safe, nurturing environment. I’ll bring that same care and attention to your pets, making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I absolutely love animals and would be thrilled to care for yours. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry (or feathered!) family! 🐾 I’m currently pursuing my master’s in Special Education through UT Austin, and my program is fully online. Because I’m not working a traditional job right now, my schedule is extremely flexible! I’m available throughout the day, evenings, and weekends for walks, drop-ins, house sitting, and pet care. I’m also able to give pets plenty of attention and stick closely to their normal routines. I do travel periodically while completing my degree, but I plan my trips around my pet-sitting commitments and only accept bookings when I know I’ll be fully available. I’d love to work with you and find a schedule that fits your pet’s needs! 🐾 Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities! 🐾 I’m big on communication and will send plenty of photos and regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. For walks: I bring my own poop bags, but ask that you provide your pet’s usual collar/harness, leash, and any other equipment they need (such as dog shoes). Before our first walk, we’ll go over your pet’s routine, personality, and any safety expectations — including how they do around other dogs, whether they’re comfortable drinking water while out, and anything else I should know. We can stick to a familiar walking route, visit a dog park if you’re comfortable with that, or add games like fetch and playtime when your pup needs more energy burned than a walk alone. For boarding in my home: I have a fenced-in yard, access to a neighborhood dog park, two friendly cats, and a 15-lb fluffy white dog who absolutely loves other animals. I’ll always take your pet’s personality and comfort level into account when deciding how much interaction they have with my pets. For house sitting: I treat your home with the same respect I’d want someone to show mine — keeping things clean, respecting your space, and following your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. I especially love house sitting because I can work on my online master’s program while keeping your pet company, taking plenty of breaks for walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away — and for you to feel completely in the loop the whole time! ❤️🐶🐱
