“Diana was wonderful. I appreciated that she accommodated our situation on short notice and made modifications so that my dog was as comfortable as possible. Appreciate her flexibility.”
“Becky was so kind to my sweet baby girl. Dora is an only kitty and took some time to adapt, but Becky was patient and loved on my kitty. Thank you for taking care of her.”
“Michelle and her family treated my Po and Basil as if they were their own! It was so great knowing my two were safe and sound, especially with her expertise in the vet med field. Will absolutely book again!”
“This was my first time using a dog sitter and Jill made me feel so at ease . She kept me updated with pictures . I will definitely be using her again. My Lulu loved being at her home”
“Let me start with Rosie Mae is a 7 month puppy with lots of energy. She was not fully house trained and a finicky eater. It was the first time I had to leave her and I was a little worried. James and his wife was very patient with her. They text me and ask if he could try different kinds of foods with her to see if she would eat. I got updates and pictures about Three time a day. They made it a lot easier leaving her. If you need a ONE sitter use James . HE IS THE BEST !!! ,”
“Moose had a great time staying with Caylei! We appreciate her communication and dedication to making sure Moose was comfortable while we were out of town. Highly recommend!”
“River loved her stay with Kendall and Darbie. Thank you for the excellent communication throughout the booking process and stay! I will highly recommend you to friends!”
“Abby was amazing with my puppy. She was extremely accommodating for my dogs allergy and medication needs. Provided daily pictures and updates! Thank you Abby I know Lexi looks forward to staying with you again!”
“This was my first experience using Rover. The service came highly recommended. I did a quick search and Stacy was at the top of the list, with great ratings, and reviews. Everyone paled in comparison. She's only 8 minutes away?!? I contacted Stacy, and she was willing to give my Booboo a chance with a meet and greet. My dog took to Stacey immediately, then came Chloe, "Senior VP of Operations". The meeting went well. And then in comes Mila the super friendly cat. And again it's all good! I've been on the road for years, and for the first time, I did not experience any pet anxiety! My trip was so much more productive without that thought lingering in my head. Stacy would send me three to four updates every day, and I don't know how she does it, but her updates would come at the perfect times, and they would put a huge smile on my face with a comforting feeling in my heart that I can not explain. Booboo and I call her Saint Stacy. I cannot thank you enough Stacy for taking care of my little guy, the great photos, and the awesome updates. It made me so happy to see him become a member of your family!”
“Russel is amazing! Bacon stayed with Russel for 4 days vs and one of those days we picked him up for a quick doggy play date. When we returned Bacon was ecstatic to see Russel again! Russel even had him dressed in the Jammie’s we brought for him on a cold morning. Russel went above & beyond & that was very clear. Russel is quick to respond & sends lots of pictures!”
“Annette is magical! Earl had a wonderful time running in the park, exploring the paths of Annette's backyard, and playing with other dogs. He returned home calm, happy, and exhausted! We are grateful for Annette and her calm approach to caring for our Earl.”
“Bailey was the first sitter I booked on Rover and I am SO grateful for her kindness and flexibility! She made me feel safe and comfortable to trust her with my fur baby. She sent updates and pictures of my girl daily and responded quickly to my messages. I am so sad her availability is limited, but I would 100% recommend Bailey to everyone! Thank you so much!”
“Danielle was wonderful! She took great care of my dog, Turner, over the weekend and made sure he was happy and well cared for. She kept me updated with pictures, videos, and messages throughout the weekend, which gave me peace of mind. She is also incredibly friendly, personable, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Danielle and will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”
“I’m so glad we found Linda! After the meet and greet we booked a day stay so Charlie and Aiden could really get acquainted. Linda is so kind and patient and really has a knack for working with dogs. Don’t kennel your dog(s), Bring them to Linda, she’ll love on ‘em while you’re away.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hillcrest home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hillcrest.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Hillcrest sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
