“Oh, my word! Where do I even begin to explain Journey's innate connection with animals? Journey has an incredibly sweet soul that animals (and people) can very readily sense. My husband and I lovingly call her, "The Dog Whisperer." We have several indoor/outdoor cats and two labs that live inside. They all are like a magnet when Journey arrives! One of the labs, Pearle, has severe social anxiety. She was the pup of a dog that belonged to a breeder who, in the end, couldn't sell Pearle. Through my vet niece, I learned about the dog and agreed to adopt the then 7 month old pup. After Pearle came to live with us, we realized that she had very likely been neglected and had probably spent most of her life in a kennel. We had to show her how to do everything, like walk up and down steps - holding one paw at a time - and when we walked her, it was obvious the outdoors was a new but wonderful world for her. One of the results of Pearle's upbringing is her total inability to be comfortable with new people in the house. She is terrified of anyone outside of her immediate family, and it takes many months for her to accept new friends, and that is when they visit regularly. I will never forget the very first day Journey arrived at my house. I was at work, and my husband sent a photo of Journey hugging Pearle. I was totally blown away! That was beyond HUGE! I remember asking my husband if she was a female Cesar Millan! Now, whenever Journey arrives, Pearle (and Jake) stick to her like glue and follow her all around the house! She genuinely loves our pets and treats them like her own! I am a huge pet lover but have never seen anything like this! I have absolutely no reservations about having Journey as a pet caregiver and can't recommend her enough! She is a pet rockstar!”

About: I love to help my rural neighbors feel comfortable if they have to be away from their home or farm for any amount of time. I stay close to home so I can provide in-home visits or walks multiple times a day if needed. I have experience with chickens, horses, goats, and hamsters as well! I have a few flexible jobs I do from home, and taking care of my neighbor's animals is one of them. I can easily adjust my schedule to fit my client's pet care needs. If you bring your pet to me, we have lots of safe, fun play time outside within our 4 acres of fenced yard and pasture. If I come to your house, of course, I'll follow your direction, but I love to be active with your animals if they want to be - whether going for a walk, playing fetch or tug of war, sprinkling cat nip, or playing with a feather...or horsey ear rubs!

About: I have grown up with dogs and many other animals, and am currently caring for my own pup ❤️ I treat animals with the upmost love and respect, and I will care for your animal immensely. I do school online and have a lot of time to carefully watch and take care of pets during the allotted time of feedings or letting them out and making sure they are happy. I can spend some time with your pup and make sure they have what they need. I will respect your home and be sure to complete any tasks given.
