I love to be active so if your dog loves physical activity, you are in good hands! I give lots of attention and spend lots of time with the pets I’m watching. I am currently enrolled in online school but rest assured, I am great with time management and will give your pup the best time! I can hang at your house while I work on my schoolwork to keep your furry friend company! I have a 7 year old German Shepherd at home, so I am used to the big dogs who need the physical activity. She gets all the love all the time and loves spending time with everyone in my family. In your home, I will respect your house and rules, as well as follow the instructions regarding your dog’s care! He/she will be in good hands and never have a dull day 🙂

About: I've grown up with, owned, and taken care of pets for as long as I can remember—old mellow dogs, fluffy young kittens, feisty chickens—you name it! The challenge of learning each pet's unique personality and needs has always fascinated me as a caretaker. I love getting to know them and building trusting relationships to give them the best quality of life possible. I’m a retired engineer looking for pet caretaking opportunities to keep life fun and adventurous! My wife, Stephanie, and I currently own one dog and two cats. Our home is in a wooded area with a fully fenced backyard. Pets that board with us have the option of private, single-level living, or they can share the house with us. We also have a standalone pet wash and dry station if pet washing services are something you're interested in. We’ll cater to their needs and ensure they are content and comfortable. I’m also an avid walker and hiker, and I love getting outside whether it’s rain or shine. For dog walking and pet visits, I enjoy heading to local parks (Cypress Creek and Lake Waterford are my go-tos) or patrolling the neighborhood for any new sights and smells. I am a house husband with one dog and two cats. The pets are the focus of my daily routine. My dog and I go to the park every morning and walk the neighborhood at night. Any dogs that I board become part of our family routine. If they are comfortable they can join us on trips to the park and walks around the neighborhood. If they prefer solo time then I will take them on dedicated trips to the park and walks! I have a dedicated room for dog and cat boarding that is separate from the rest of the home where our dog and cats reside. Any boarding guests can use that private space or can join the other animals in the other parts of the house if they are comfortable. Our fenced in backyard and dog grooming station are on the same level as the dedicated boarding space.

About: I love pets of all kinds, shapes, and sizes. I accept all personalities coming from an owner of a very mischievous husky and a reactive senior pup. I have several years of dog walking and sitting in DC as well as working at veterinarian offices. I am also currently enrolled in nursing school so am no stranger to any medically necessary situations. I will always ensure to treat your pet like my own and make sure they grown to love me like their own! I currently work nights part time at UMMC as well as am enrolled full time in nursing school. Though that might sound like my schedule I’m jammed pack, I have plenty of breaks in between for your beloved pups! I also enjoy quality time outside and would love to have a fur friend to join me. I currently do not do pet sitting in home or out as I have a 3 year old toddler I simply cannot spend time away from and my senior pup is unfortunately dog reactive.

About: I have always grown up with dogs. I have been working at a dog daycare (Dogtopia) for over 3 years. This job consists of managing a room for 30+ dogs. I also make meals, feed and give medication to the daycare or boarding dogs. I have also taken care of friends and family members dogs and cats since I was 15. I’m currently working early morning shifts on weekends except Wednesday. My shifts end around 1pm so I am available for walks/drop ins anytime after that! I have 4 dogs of my own. Since I work at a dog daycare, I know that it isn’t for every dog. Some dogs are just too anxious and nervous being around other dogs. I love to comfort the new and shy dogs we have at work! I am very good and helping dogs come out of their shell, since I struggle with that myself. I can come by multiple times a day to care for and check on your pets who prefer to be at home. I don’t mind cleaning up after your pet and will do so as needed!

I grew up with family pets, two mini schnauzers, who have recently passed away from old age so this is a great opportunity to care and play with dogs especially.
