We are new to the area and had never used this service before, but Christianna immediately put us at ease. There were other dogs that our fairly social dog, Sass, was able to interact with, and Christianna sent frequent updates during our trip so we never had to worry and could enjoy our vacation. We are very happy we found Christianna and will use her for future trips!

The dogs were happy and felt at home for their 3 days. We were happy to have a three day getaway. Everyone was happy when we picked them up. We have an 8 month old Aussie that loves to play and I think for the first time he had enough fun with other dogs. Thank you Katie and family.

Lauren was amazing and super accommodating. Bella had 4 acres of play area, 2 other adult dogs and 3 pups to keep her company! Lauren sent pictures and updates every day. Very communicative. I would absolutely select Lauren to care for our dog in our absence and I recommend her highly to others!

Woof-woof-woof-woof-woof. Girls give Katie 5 woods. Being with someone new they had a great time. The morning pics helped us enjoy them from a distance. Katie is definitely on speed dial if needed. 🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕 Thanks Katie

What an absolute wonderful family. My dog had never stayed with a sitter before, and I was really worried she would just have a miserable time. Jackie and her family made sure my dog was the most comfortable ever, she constantly sent me updates, and when I picked up my dog, I could sense the happiness from her experience.

I’ve been going to Christine’s for daycare for a few months and occasionally boarding during trips. She and her husband are phenomenal and take really good care of my pup when I can’t. She has a large fenced backyard so they get a lot of play and stay busy. She is also very flexible and accommodating, I honestly wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else.

My dog was in great care and I more importantly had an awesome vacation, knowing my baby was in good hands. This isn't about the care but for other dog owners! My German Shepherd is fully trained and behaved. When dog owners just own a dog but isn't trained. It is like having unruly children and blaming the teacher. So a negative review by others doesn't necessarily mean it is the sitter's fault! My dog got great care but I know I have a great dog! You are awesome Alexandra

This woman was amazing! I can’t say that enough. She’s a dog person and goes above and beyond. She also helped me out with next to no notice. I know any pet you bring to her would be safe and exceptionally cared for. I would absolutely trust her with any of my animals.

Gladys and her family were absolutely wonderful with Ella. From the moment we dropped her off, it was clear that Ella wasn’t just being watched—she was being welcomed as a temporary member of their family. They were caring, attentive, and truly loving toward her throughout her stay, which gave me complete peace of mind. Ella came home happy and well cared for, and that says everything. I would not hesitate to trust Gladys and her family again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet.

About: Animals are one of my biggest passions in life. I have an abundance of experience petsitting for dogs, all breeds, all sizes, all temperaments! I have also cared for cats, chickens, fish, horses, goats, pigs, ferrets, a tortoise, and plants. From puppies to seniors, I love them all. The more attention your pet needs, the better. I have also cared for dogs with special needs. As a full-time pet care professional, I am able to cater to their schedules and routines, keeping things as consistent as possible while you're away from home. I believe that pet owners should be able to travel without worrying about their babies for a moment, knowing they are in the best care possible! One of the most difficult parts of this career is leaving the house! Whether on an errand, a bike ride, or going out to dinner, if they indicate to me that they don't want me to leave them alone (in any way), it tugs on my heartstrings. Therefore, I tend to spend as much time with them as possible (for both our sakes). You can rest assured, your pets will absolutely not be starved for attention! This is my full time career which allows me the flexibility to cater to your dog's needs and schedule. Please let me know in advance if your pet is not able to left alone for more than 4 hours at a time. It is very important to me that I communicate what my schedule will be like during the time you are looking to have me stay with your loved ones! Providing them the comfort and reassurance while their human is traveling is of the utmost importance to me. I am currently unable to board doggies in my home or provide doggy daycare, but hope to someday be able to provide this service to my clients.

About: Ive had cats and dogs my whole life. We have 3 golden retriever dogs, 1 female 2 years old and 2 puppies, 1 male and 1 female, that are 4 months old, that help with welcoming any new dogs to the property. We are on a 4 acre, fully fenced yard, the dogs are able to run and be free in. I am retired so I am able to be home as much as needed. We have a 4 acre fully fenced property with smaller fenced areas as needed for different kinds of animals. We have kiddy pools to stay cool in. Plenty of covered places to stay cool. All animals are welcome inside as long as clean. We also have large dog cages inside, for dogs that aren't so clean inside. Lol I am retired so the animals usually will come in and out as they please. We have a doggie door. I have 3 golden retriever dogs that can welcome and show any new animals the place. Golden retrievers are know as very friendly and very intelligent. They will welcome any animal to the home as long as the newcomer is also kind.

Nora is amazing! She really got our Taz out of her shell and comfortable. She gave steady updates and made sure Taz felt loved and cared for while we were gone. Taz is my baby, so leaving her with anyone is really hard. But Nora made us feel so comfortable and confident with the care Taz would receive, that I even forgot to text her one day! 😅 We will definitely be using her services again.

About: I have over 20 years of experience with rescue dogs, seniors, dogs with medical needs, and pups who come with behavior issues, medical issues, a few quirks or big personalities! I’m highly tuned into dog emotions, body language, and energy, and I take the time to understand what each dog needs to feel safe and comfortable. I’ve cared for everything from shy, shut-down rescues to bossy divas to seniors who need medication routines—and I truly enjoy giving each one the individualized care they deserve. My wife is a long-time volunteer with cat rescues and special-needs feline programs, so if your cat needs boarding or extra attention, you’ll have two experienced caregivers looking after them. Together we’ve cared for senior cats, rescue kittens, medical-needs cats, and complex personalities. We’re also comfortable with reptiles, birds, and small animals—your non-fur babies are welcome too! What Sets Me Apart? I specialize in dogs with behavior quirks, special needs, or rescue backgrounds, and I take the time to get to know exactly what your pet needs. Before your stay or daycare visit, I want you to tell me openly about any behavioral issues, triggers, routines, or comfort items. This helps me prepare the home and make a safe, calm environment tailored to your dog. I customize the day and night for each pet—whether that means structured alone time, supervised play, slow introductions, or a quiet, low-stress setup. I’m experienced with combining (or not combining) multiple dogs depending on personalities, energy levels, and safety. I also never feed visiting dogs together with mine, and our bedroom stays off-limits at night so my own dogs have their established safe space. This prevents territorial stress and keeps the environment balanced for everyone. If your dog is crate-trained, we have a cozy, clean crate area they can use. If not, we can use gates, separate rooms, or quiet corners depending on what works best. I’m also comfortable managing multiple dogs at once, dog-and-cat combos, and pets with medical needs or medication schedules. My Home & Setup Our home includes two small, friendly resident dogs who are used to visitors, plus a kitten and a turtle. We have a large fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, and flexible indoor spaces that can be separated as needed. Whether your pet needs interaction, quiet time, a slow intro, or their own area, I can arrange the environment based on their personality and comfort level. Your pet’s emotional needs, safety, and routine are my top priorities. Just tell me all about your baby—their quirks, comforts, fears, and favorites—and I’ll create a plan that’s truly catered to them. Communication As a pet parent for most of my life, I am very aware of the anxiety that sets in when you have to leave your baby! So I will make sure you have regular photos, videos and a "report card" when you are boarding or doing daycare with me. I will always contact you immediately if anything seems irregular or there is a behavior I am unsure of. I work from home and hold a very flexible schedule, so I can accommodate various needs and situations. Whether it is drop-in walks and visits, pet boarding or daycare, I do not have a rigid schedule that will prevent me from making sure they have the care they need (and deserve!). Our home is set up to accommodate a variety of pets and personalities. We have two small, friendly dogs who are used to visitors, as well as a kitten and a turtle. For boarding or doggy day care, I adjust the setup based on each pet’s needs—whether that means supervised play, quiet separation, or crate time in our cozy “bassinet” area. We have gates, separate rooms, and a large fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, plus a doggy door that can be opened or closed as needed. If your pet needs medication or has special requirements, I’m confident and experienced in managing that. Just tell me about your babies, and we’ll build a care plan tailored just for them!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hereford home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
