“Alina is wonderful to work with, her calm and caring nature is just what Chip needed. I really appreciate the way she kept me up to date on all the fun she and Chip were having together while I was away. We look forward to working with her again in the future!”

“Breanna was Fantastic!!! We went on a one week vacation, and she sent us pictures daily of our small Chihuahua, and updates on not only how he was a joy to keep for us but how he was enjoying her being there. The photos that she sent really put us at ease because this was the first trip without him with us!!! I would proudly recommend her with a great review, and to my fellow fur owners?”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life and have had consistent experience with cats for the past 7+ years. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet's individual personality and needs. I'm comfortable with animals of different sizes, energy levels, and personalities, and I understand that every pet has their own routine and preferences. Whether a pet wants to play, go for a walk, get some attention, or simply have someone nearby while their owner is away, I enjoy making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. While I'm newer to pet sitting professionally, I bring years of hands-on experience with animals and take their care and their owner's instructions seriously. My goal is to make each pet feel comfortable and give their owner peace of mind while they're away. I'm currently a college student, so I'm generally on campus during the weekday from about 8 AM–5 PM. Outside of those hours, I have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting based on your pet's needs and my availability. My schedule can vary from week to week, so I'm happy to communicate ahead of time to find a time that works well for both of us. As I am a college student living in a dorm, I am unavailable to house animals in my living space. However, I am happy to care for pets in their own home and will always treat their space with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I will follow each pet's routine and their owner's instructions closely, including feeding, walks, medications if needed, and any other specific care instructions. I will make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and supervised appropriately throughout my visit. I will also be respectful of your home by keeping things clean, securing doors and gates, and making sure everything is as I found it when I leave. I want both pets and their owners to feel comfortable and confident while they are apart, so I am always happy to communicate and provide updates during visits.

About: Currently a college nursing student I have had cats, dogs (ranging 10-70lbs), and both small to large sized parrots. I absolutely adore my fur/feathered babies and want to combine that passion as an enjoyable part time job! See “what to expect” for more info on specific care for my personal pets ! I am currently a full time nursing student, with an evening part time job. I try to update my calendar according to those schedules! For that I travel to areas like Jackson, Parsons, Lexington, Huntington and Paris so I can travel for your pets care! I try to be as flexible with my schedule as possible to keep pet care open, and I will communicate any scheduling conflicts or adjustments needed to pet care ASAP to before booking to ensure your pet gets the best care they deserve! For my dogs (yorkie/small terrier mix ~20lbs) I have a fenced yard and they receive prescription dog food 2x day, with usually morning car rides and daily play. For my cats they receive morning play and exercise wheel time and morning kibble. At night they receive wet canned food and use a water fountain. Once a week they will get a car ride and a walk on harness or in stroller weather permitting. I also have 2 small and 2 large parrots they have toys and get daily engagement with pets, music, toys, etc. I also have experience in care for ducks/geese. I do not have other farm animal experience but would be willing to do a feeding drop in according to owners wishes providing this is a rural area!!
“Za’Bella was an excellent sitter! Our animals just adored her. She kept in close contact with us, shared sweet updates of our animals, and took excellent care of them. She was also so neat and respectful we barely even knew she had been in our home. This was a very last minute booking and she came through for us. We would highly recommend her services and would love to have her again.”

About: One of the best parts of my day is waking up to a sweet little furbaby ready to start it with me. I grew up caring for many different animals and we spent most days active outdoors with them. I have experience delivering puppies, administering medications, and had multiple litters of puppies/kittens. I have cared for Boxers, Great Danes, Golden Retrievers, Dachshunds, Golden doodles, Maltese, shih tzu, French Bulldogs, and many more breeds along with cats, fish, and a few birds. I have worked with all sizes and ages and know how important it is to maintain their normal routine. I even cared for horses out in Montana.I work remotely while traveling and pet sitting around the world. It's been several years of caring for animals and 3 years of full time travel. I am more than willing to ask questions to be best prepared when caring for your animals and will pay special attention to any instructions you have for their scheduled medication, feeding routines, or exercise requirements. I’m an outdoor enthusiast so any activities you’d like them to have while you’re away will be welcomed! I usually follow their routine as close as possible to decrease stress and anxiety. If pet parents do not have a routine of their own then I start days around 6:30/7:00am. I will go for a run or have outdoor time before breakfast and then have a few meetings for work. I usually only have a few hours of remote work so then I am free for the afternoon to play and get some energy out with them before dinner around 5:30/6:00pm. It really depends on their age and the needs, but there will be plenty of play and snuggles so they feel comfortable with our time. I usually go to their homes and try to make sure they stay on their schedule with meals, play time, and treats. I watch out for anything that could be torn up or wind up in their mouths also. I want them to feel calm and comfortable with me so I give them space if needed, but this more applies to cats that would rather lounge unbothered.
About: I've been a pet parent for almost all of my adult like. I love all dogs and friendly affectionate cats. I always follow parent rules but love to spoil the critters I sit with. I am semi-retired and all of the work I do can be done remotely. When I'm with your pet at home I'm there! My sweet 90-year old mom takes care of my senior little Herbie the Love Pup while I'm with other critters. I follow all pet parent routine and rules. I always use client provided leashes and harnesses. I have good leash training skills as well. I follow timely feeding and treating schedules as defined by the pet parents. I customize pet care base on the family's needs.
About: Experienced & Compassionate Pet Sitter – Including Senior Pet Care I have hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, including senior dogs and cats who need a little extra love and attention. I’m familiar with administering medications, monitoring for health changes, and creating a calm, gentle environment for older pets. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, or simply offering comfort and companionship, I treat every pet like family. I’m also reliable, patient, and mindful of each pet’s individual needs and routines. I'm currently home all day, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets! I'm available for boarding Sunday-Sunday, all day any time! I adapt my care based on the pet’s personality, routine, and comfort level, whether in my home or the client’s. In the client’s home, I aim to maintain their pet’s normal schedule to reduce stress, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications. I make sure the space stays clean, safe, and calm while keeping the pet happy and engaged. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a pet-safe, quiet environment with plenty of love, supervision, and room to play or relax. I keep owners updated with photos and messages, and I’m always attentive to their pet’s behavior, mood, and needs. My goal is to give pets a secure, loving experience while their families are away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Henderson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Henderson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Henderson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
