I communicate constantly while I’m watching someone else animals by sending pictures, videos, and regular updates.

About: I have 3 dogs at home that I love dearly. I have been caring for them ever since I was young as well as dog sitting for my neighbors and friends. I will care for your pets as if they are my own. If you chose me to care for your loved pets, you won’t be disappointed. Message me with any questions that you might have. Thank you. Im currently a student in my masters program and have plenty of free time to take care of your furry friends:). I love spending time with animals and have open availability, just ask. I can easily follow any directions you ask of me while taking care of your beloved pets. I will do my best to make sure your needs are met as well as your pets!
About: I truly love dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Every pup I meet gets treated with the same compassion and care I’d give my own. At the same time, I know dogs thrive with gentle structure — so I balance cuddles and play with consistency that helps them feel safe and confident. I also believe happy, well-behaved dogs start with their natural needs being met. By giving them the right mix of exercise, enrichment, and attention to their instincts, I help make sure they feel fulfilled, calm, and loved while you’re away. With me, your dog isn’t just looked after — they’re understood. My work schedule is flexible and I have time between dropping off and picking up kids from school to fill in the gaps those are usually the hardest times for professionals that work traditional work schedule. I do have a fenced-in backyard, but I believe dogs deserve more than just space to run — they thrive on walks, enrichment, and structured training. That’s why I focus on giving them real stimulation and enjoyable experiences that go beyond the basics. When life gets busy, dogs often get bored and find their own ways to create “excitement” — not always the kind owners appreciate. By providing structured adventures, I channel that energy into positive outlets, helping your dog come home happy, tired, and fulfilled.
“This was my first time using rover and Alicia was not only professional but super friendly and flexible. Theo and Wally were spoiled just like if we were home. I would/will recommend Alicia to all my friends and family who have fur babies! Thank you again Alicia if I could give you more than 5 stars I would!”

“Samantha did a great job checking in on our cat, Louie. On a previous vacation, he came to a cat with a UTI because the person we hired (not through Rover.com) did not clean his box properly. Samantha kept us up to date on how Louie was doing and kept his boxes clean. We came home from vacation to a happy and healthy cat. I will definitely use Samantha again!”

“I don’t leave reviews but Kayla went way above and beyond for me dealing with my dog getting sick and cleaning it and handling my injured dogs bandages coming off and reapplying them for me! I couldn’t give more praise to her and wouldn’t recommend anyone else if you want the best care for you’re pet!”

About: I’m a veterinary technician with experience in both small and large animal care, and I spent four years rescuing and fostering animals. In my free time I do TNR for feral cats and walk shelter dogs. I provide calm, attentive care, and I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I minored in Human-Animal Relations and can read animal body language very well. I have a hugeeee focus on safety and will never put your pet in an unsafe situation. Mostly, I am just a huge animal lover. Getting to take care of your pet will be a treat for me. My favorite breed of dog is either a pitbull or a corgi. But my favorite animal is a cat :) I am a recent college graduate trying to start a business and would love to do this as a break whenever I can! I have a flexible schedule because of this. I have a large yard with plenty of space for pets to run and play. My property includes both fenced and unfenced areas, so I can safely supervise pets in a variety of settings.
About: I have owned dogs and cats all of my life. They are the center of our home. We walk them daily and they are allowed on furniture. Hi. My name is Donna and I live in Columbus. I spend a lot of time with my own pups and cats. I will love on your dog as if it were my own. I currently work from home and can provide daily walks or check-ins. Margie did a fantastic job watching my dog. Only having a days notice was still able to come do a previsit on Friday before watching him on Saturday. From the pictures, my dog warmed up immediately and made a new friend. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!

Madison did such a wonderful job taking care of my dog Bodhi and my guinea pigs while I was out of town. She updated me on everything while she was there and also noticed that Bodhii had a rash so she gave him a bath. She went above and beyond to care for my pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
