“Kalina is great! We changed up plans a couple times and she was very easy to work with on the changes. Both dogs immediately took to her, and they are usually very stand-offish about new people. She sent us pics, which we always love. Definitely recommend using Kalina!”

“Amanda was great! Very trustworthy and went above and beyond for my pets while I was out of town. She always kept me updated and sent pictures. Definitely will be booking with her again. Thank you!!!!”

“Aulelei deserves 10 stars. She is so kind and spot on when caring for our pets. She is thorough and always communicates her concerns and highlights of her visits. She is punctual and has saved us at the last minute. HIRE HER!!! She will be at the tops of your favorites list!”

“We needed a pet sitter for the last 4 days of our 12 day trip and our daughter had used Samantha before and recommended her. She did a great job taking care of our kitties and they enjoyed her attention and care. In addition, she did an excellent job of communicating with us and sending us daily kitty pictures. We would definitely use Samantha again.”

About: I have had dogs since I was 15 years old. I have taken care of them myself in house basically my whole life. I love cuddling with my dogs and don't mind them laying beside me on furniture. I have trained lots of puppies potty duties and crate training. I have had a bunch of senior dogs. I am a nurse by trade, so if your fur baby needs meds, I am definitely the one who can give it to them! I can't wait to meet your baby! I am currently retired nurse who stays home basically all the time. If I do have to leave, it is usually only for a couple of hours. I do not have a fully fenced yard, but I do have a fenced area behind the house that I can put the fur babies in to do their business and get some exercise. If they do not need to be contained, I have 5 acres that they can run and play.

About: Hi pet parent! 🐶✨ Looking for someone who will treat your dog like family (and not just a quick drop-in)? You found her. 💁♀️🐾. Hable Español también si necesitan ayuda en español. I’m a dog loving sitter with real, hands on experience not just someone who “likes animals.” I’ve worked in an animal shelter for 2 years and fostered dogs for over a year, so I’ve handled everything from wild zoomies to shy, nervous pups who need extra patience. Your dog isn’t just safe with me they’re understood. 🐾 AND YES! CAT PARENTS, YOU’RE COVERED TOO 🐱 While dogs are my main focus, I’ve also worked with cats in the shelter, so I’m comfortable with feline care as well. I understand their boundaries, personalities, and routines I just won’t pretend I’m not a little more obsessed with dogs 😌 🐾 WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT? • I don’t just “watch” dogs I engage with them • I match their energy (playtime, structure, or chill time) • Patient with nervous pets, structured with high-energy ones • I follow routines closely so your pet feels at home 🐶 A TYPICAL DAY Walks, playtime, belly rubs, and making sure your pup is living their best life while you’re away. 📸 Expect LOTS of photo and video updates because I know you’ll miss them (and I will too). 🕒 FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE I’m home often and only step out for short periods, so your pet gets plenty of attention not hours alone. About: I am a lifelong animal lover. In lieu of a car, all I wanted for my 16th birthday was a puppy. 12 years later, Emmie is still my little sidekick, & truly ignited my passion for being a friend to all animals. I’m currently available for drop in visits on weekends. You won’t have to worry about your furry friends getting lonely while you are out working or playing. I am happy to drop in to provide belly rubs, head scritches, fresh water, & meals if needed, all while keeping your pets safe & your home secure.
“Michelle was a fantastic sitter for our four cats. She treated them as her own and even took care of an invasion of ants that we had during her visits. She was always on time and sent videos and pics of every visit. Thank you Michelle!!!”

“Tristin did an outstanding job caring for our two Doberman’s while we were away. She is caring, kind, and trustworthy. We recommend her highly and will continue using her in the future!”

“Courtney was an absolute doll! I was so nervous leaving my pets for 10 days while we were on a cruise but Courtney was in constant contact with me 3 times a day, sending pictures and updates. She even went overboard to make friends with my skittish cat, who she won over after a few days! I highly recommend her. She was kind, gentle and patient with my pets and we will definitely be using her services again for our next vacation. Thank you Courtney for loving on Diesel and Danté. ❤️”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
