“Annalyse was super helpful in our first drop in sitter for multiple pets, especially in a home under renovations and all still adapting to new environment. She was an excellent communicator prior to, during and after visit.”

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of dogs for family, friends and neighbors for the last 30 years. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns. I have current daily/ weekly availability for dog walking, playdates and house sitting (at your home.) I am unable to board at my home and do not offer pet sitting/ doggy day care in my home. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns about my availability. I will ensure that your dog does not run off leash in public places. I will ensure that no pet will go without food, water, medications, exercise, supervision or other treatment necessary to facilitate the health and wellness of your loved one(s.)
“Kristen was very flexible in discussions concerning care options and dates, and provided updates from the visits. I will definitely be using her services again for my precious pups.”

About: I love others pets like I love my own. I’ve had my own dog since I was 17 and took care of her in any way needed. I’m knowledgeable on a lot of things dealing with dogs as well as cats. I trained both of my dogs myself to sit, shake, and listen to basic commands. I’m currently working Monday- Friday during the day. Any drop in visits you may need after 5pm I can do! As for the weekends, I am free to watch over your babies. I keep my schedule updated so in case I am not available it will let you know! I have a fenced in back yard where my dog stays. So if you would like your dog to have some doggie playtime she would enjoy that! If not that is completely fine and if you have a crate that you would like your pet to stay in I will use that! Whatever works for you!
“Mollie is fantastic and I would recommend to anyone that she was absolutely perfect for my Chow Chow! Mollie, thank you so much and I will definitely use you next time!”

About: I have had a German Shepard growing up. I had the responsibility of feeding, walking, grooming and teaching him basic tricks and commands. My sister has a corgi who I have cared for, and loved for many years now. We love to go on walks together and play fetch. I follow directions very well and dogs really do love me. I have experience with new born puppies and dogs less then one year. I know about puppy tendencies and handle them well. I am comfortable around big dogs, small dogs, three legged dogs, all the pups are my favorites. I am free all days Tuesday and Wednesday, and Mondays evenings. I am visiting the area for the entire month with family and would love to spend some time with some lovely pets!! And make some money 😉 I cannot take care of pets in my own home, but would feel comfortable being in their usually space with them, hopefully having stuff to play with them with!
“We are SO happy with the care Bekah took with our Hammond and the fish. She was always right on time and took the best pictures. Hamm’s hot spot acted up and Bekah treated the spot and it looks fine. Having a reliable, kind and professional pet sitter means the world to us and Bekah is the BEST.”

“Lauren did a great job looking after my chickens and ducks! It was a relief to know that they were in good hands with someone who truly cared about their well being. Thank you, Lauren, we appreciate it!”

About: I am a CMA, and have worked in 4 vets offices over the years. I can give medication (oral, topicals or shots). I have been a groomer for 9ish years (traveling to homes and in grooming shops). I also come packing a huge heart ready to love whatever babies you have. I have cared for them all and really to care for yours!💜 I recently had surgery in March but have been cleared for work. I am a mobile groomer for myself so my schedule is very flexible. Working with vets/in hospitals, I have learned the best way to keep your animals safe and happy is to stay in their own home. Cars and new environments can cause a lot of stress or anxiety. Drop in visits and house sitting keeps your pet in a safe and comfortable place without the exposure to others or their pets.
About: I've always had a cat. I've helped care for kitties through every life stage, and would take family and friends dog-walking or sitting gigs whenever I could. Building a rapport with an animal and earning their trust is something I take great pride in! I'm currently working afternoon shifts at a restaurant, typically anywhere from 12pm - 8pm. While my schedule varies, I can spend plenty of quality time with them and come and go straight from work to make sure they get as much attention as possible. Please reach out to let me know your situation - I'd love to work something out! My flexible schedule means house-sitting is totally up my alley! I'm happy to spend as much one-on-one time as needed, with lots of outdoor playtime/walks and an attentive presence inside to make sure they have everything they need. Anything you are / are not comfortable with I am happy to accommodate.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 15. I love playing and taking care of all animals! I love dog sitting at my friends house! I am available 24/7 to take care of your babies! I stay with them or check on them whenever is needed! I am always available. I have a fenced in backyard and 5 dogs that can keep your dogs company. If your dog doesn’t do well with others, then I can easily keep mine away and separated!
About: I have always had pets growing up and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from owning my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. My husband works nights and I work days so there is always someone home to make sure your fur baby is taken care of and loved on! Our residence features ample space in the garage, and a spacious fenced-in backyard. As pet owners ourselves, with two golden doodles and a cat, we understand the stress associated with leaving them behind. Consequently, we would provide a nurturing environment, treating boarded pets like our own, with generous playtime outside of their kennels and the attention and affection they are accustomed to receiving at home. ❤️
About: I have been taking care of all types of pets my entire life. I have experience working with senior cats and dogs that may need extra attention. During the school year I take care of pets on weekends and some holidays. During the summer I am available any time! (I’m a teacher) I have a German shepherd and 2 cats. They typically freely roam but the dog is crated when I am not home or at night.
About: I am a 30 year old female who loves all animals. I have grown up with animals all my life and have owned many of my own pets. I very much like spending time walking around or just sitting and gaming and cuddling with my pets. I am able to train puppies as i have owned a 3 time grand champion vizsla, though I am no professional I was just taught so i could show my dog. I enjoy spending time in the woods and or in the ocean just being about in the beauty of nature. I hope and pray to be able to meet your little or big angel because that is what a pet is an ANGEL and a beloved family member. please enjoy your day! it is my life. i do this for my job, but i do love all animals so i am more than happy to do this. im very patient and willing to just let them get to know me. i follow things to a tee that way your pet gets the care it needs
About: Follow us on Facebook at Doggone Good Pet Services located in Decatur, AL! You can book there as well. I’ve owned and cared for many fur babies in all shapes, sizes, breeds and I’ve enjoyed taking care of animals all of my life. My husband has always told me if I could have an animal sanctuary I would take in every single animal I came across. I worked as a veterinarian assistant before I became a full time stay at home mom. Since I am home all day so I will have plenty of time on my hands to give love to your babies. I am away from home each week day from 1:30 until 2:15 to pick kids up from school . Each and every fur baby will always be treated like family I have a fenced in back yard with lots of room to play and roam. Anytime I would have to leave the house, I always make sure all dogs are separated and /or in kennels to ensure nothing happens while I’m gone. No need to bring toys, blankets, crates, beds, bowls, etc, I have all on site and make sure they’re cleaned and sanitized every day.
About: What truly sets me apart is my commitment to communication. I provide regular updates, photos, and detailed notes after each visit or walk, so you always feel connected to your pet. My background also includes volunteer work at a local animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience handling dogs with special needs and anxiety. You can count on me to treat your pet and home with the same respect and care I’d expect for my own. Reliability, compassion, and peace of mind—that’s what I bring to every visit. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine. I prioritize creating a consistent and safe environment for every pet in my care, whether that means early morning walks, timely feedings, or engaging play sessions throughout the day. I incorporate time each day to monitor health, behavior, and comfort, ensuring pets feel secure and loved while their owners are away. On a weekly basis, I plan for special outings, grooming (if needed), and ongoing communication with pet owners to provide updates and maintain trust. Caring for animals is more than a job—it’s a responsibility I take seriously, and I structure my schedule to reflect that commitment. I have a fenced in privacy fence back yard! As well as a temperature controlled garage if needed to separate! I have an extra crate if needed as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
