“Margaret was perfect. She was very accommodating, easy to work with etc. It appears that our two cats liked her a lot and I think she liked them also. She sent several cute photos. She left the house very neat and clean. We were very lucky to find her on relatively short notice. We will certainly hire her again if our needs and her availability coincide in the future.”

“We are so happy Liah was available to take care of our energetic pup! Liah immediately focused her attention on building a relationship with Moosie and we appreciated her obvious love of animals. Liah was responsible, reliable, and considerate.”

About: My mother is a veterinarian with her own practice, so I grew up around an abundance of animals and know plenty about caring for them. My career allows me to choose my own schedule, I don't usually have shifts longer than 5/6 hours long. This allows me to take dogs out for walks or to a dog park, or I can just go home and hang out with my cat. I have a large fenced in yard with access to woods, plenty of local trails for dog walks, local lake of your dog likes to swim. Dogs and cats in my home, but there's a good sized guest bedroom that is kept closed of from the rest of my home if you have a pet that is less friendly with others.

About: I have a dog and a cat, both are very friendly. I trained my puppy from 8 weeks old, and he is now a very sweet and calm 3 year old little man. I love dogs of all kinds, and many friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets while they are away. I have taken several training courses with my pup and can help teach your dog some basic skills too! I am a graduate student so I have a pretty flexible schedule. Typically I can work from home part of the day, and I rarely work weekends. Pet care is already part of my routine, and typically includes a morning, afternoon, and evening walk, potty breaks as needed, and plenty of playtime. I have a friendly dog who loves to play, but will match your dogs energy. My 11 year old cat prefers to be left alone and will likely not interact much. I am happy to bring my pup for playtime/walks at your house, or leave him at home if your dog prefers solo walks. I live in a two bedroom condo by myself, there are plenty of walking paths around, but no real yard. I don't like to do dog parks, as I have had some issues with aggressive dogs in the area and don't feel safe there, but love to take my dog on little hikes at places like Red Rocks and Shelburne Bay.

About: I’ve grown up caring for animals my whole life. I raised my own dog from puppy to 15 year old senior citizen and have been taking care of my friend’s and family’s dogs and cats for years. Whether your pup needs a brisk walk or a trail run, or your cat needs company while you’re away, I bring the same care and attentiveness to pet care that I bring to the hospital. I understand how important your pets are to your family, and I’m here to treat them like my own. I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, following special diets, and maintaining a calm presence with shy or anxious pets. I currently have a flexible academic schedule and I work hard to fit in pet care throughout the day. I am almost always available first thing in the morning and in the afternoons/evenings and my mid-day availability varies by academic term From walks to house-sits, I follow the simple tenants of 1)“treat every animal as if they were my own” and 2) “treat everyone’s homes with the utmost respect”. Pet owners know best what their animals need so my top goal is providing whatever care that may be, safely, and in the environment that best suits each pet and owner.

I am responsible and quick in an emergency. I am also familiar with lots of walking trails in the area! I am a 4th year medical student with a pretty open schedule. Reach out with any inquiries and I will try to accommodate your needs! For pet sitting, I am available to stay at your home to keep your pet company as well as take them outside as often as needed. “Sheila was fantastic with Gunner. He is my brother’s dog and was visiting for a few days, and we didn’t want to leave him alone while we all went out for the evening. He took to Sheila right away and was very content to see us all walk out the door. In addition to being perfect with Gunner, Sheila is responsive, reliable, and a pleasure to deal with. We would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her.”

“Jacob did an outstanding job caring for our older dog. He stayed in our home for two weeks while we were out of the country. He left the house in immaculate condition. Jacob gave Mr. Ruggles regular walks and lots of attention. Jacob is responsible, communicates well, responded to our questions promptly and clearly had genuine affection for our dog. We would highly recommend Jacob for in-home dog sitting. We had tremendous peace of mind during our vacation knowing that our pet was getting great care. We came home to a happy, healthy dog and a spotless home. Win-win for all.”

Hartford pet parents share their Rover experiences
Armani was a delight from our first conversation. She asked pertinent questions to ensure she understood their preferences and routines. Armani was very focused on the comfort and care of our pets while we were gone. She frequently sent photos (which we loved) so we could enjoy our time away knowing they were happy and healthy. Would highly recommend her.

Catherine was so great with our pups! We so appreciate her ability to accommodate a last minute request and loved getting photos of our dogs while she was with them and we were away. We will definitely be keeping in touch and will book again when we have a need!
