“My sister and I were heading to Stowe with our dogs for a ski trip when we found out the house wasn't dog friendly. Oh no! Luckily we found Gwynn who lives close to Stowe. She only takes two dogs at a time which was perfect for my dog and my sister's since they're best friends! Gwynn was great with initial introductions with my somewhat skittish dog and her dogs. We were in contact with her everyday with photos and a video of them frolicking in the snow. She always responded quickly via phone or text. After picking them up, our dogs ended up sleeping the entire next day from having too much fun. My dog in particular did not want to leave Gwynn's chickens! I would highly recommend Gwynn, especially if your dog needs personal attention, lots of exercise and outdoor time.”

About: My experience comes from caring for my own dogs and dog sitting big dogs for friends who don't want their pups to stay in their comfy familiar home while they are away. I've owned labs, huskies, shepherds and collies. Most recently I had two collies that have travelled with me around the world. Sadly both have passed recently So I'm without a dog of my own but love having them around. I am happy to meet new dogs of all ages and breeds. I love large dogs too but my place may be too small for some but I'm happy to meet up and see what works. I work from home a lot and am very flexible to drop in or take your pup(s) for a walk. I run most days and can have pups join if that's something they like. I am very cautious about dog handling and will follow your instructions. I will only care for dogs in my home after I've taken care of them at your home and I am familiar enough with the dog so that I am sure it will be ok in a new space and that I can accommodate its needs.
About: I have always had multiple pets, dogs and cats. I currently have a black lab named bear and a black cat named Rosie. I also have house and babysat for a number of families. I love hanging out with animals and am known to be super attentive and responsible. I work part time in the summer and often either work a morning or night shift, not typically all day and have time to play with your pups! About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life, starting at age 16 when I helped my mom with dog sitting and house sitting. By the time I turned 18, I had built my own small client base and began independently caring for pets. Many of the pets I’ve cared for have required daily medications, so I’m very comfortable managing medical routines and special care needs. I work full time at Dartmouth Hitchcock in the operating room, but my role is very flexible. I’m able to step away during the day for check-ins, walks, feedings, and potty breaks, and I can also work remotely when needed. This flexibility allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day rather than limiting care to early mornings or evenings. I’m very reliable with schedules and communication, and I make sure every pet I care for gets the time, attention, and love they deserve. At this time, I’m unable to offer dog sitting in my own home, as one of my dogs struggles to make new friends. I provide in-home sitting instead, which I actually prefer—this allows your dog to stay in their familiar environment, stick to their normal routine, and avoid the added stress of a new space. Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. Your dog will be one of the family here and will have company most all of the time. I also offer a very nice space for cats or for dogs that do not get along well with others. Not a cage or kennel but a finished 20x20 heated and furnished room in my barn loft where we can play and visit one on one.
About: My parents and friends know they can rely on me for animal sitting. Ive taken care of dogs and cats consistently for 15 years. I have experience with all sized dogs for I’ve helped train my German Shepard and toy poodle alongside with my mom. I am going to be home until mid June but will back to animal in early August. I am very flexible with time as long as I am scheduled 3 days in advanced. The closest main road to my house is 3/4 of mile so cars won’t be an issue. I love trail walking and running which sometimes my dogs will accompany me; there are a lot of no car friendly trails to venture on. I do it all the time with my German Shepard and my neighbors German Shepard who are dog friendly. At home it is easy to give the dogs space to themselves for I have my own room where they can eat and sleep.

We were in contact with her everyday with photos and a video of them frolicking in the snow. She always responded quickly via phone or text. After picking them up, our dogs ended up sleeping the entire next day from having too much fun. My dog in particular did not want to leave Gwynn's chickens! I would highly recommend Gwynn, especially if your dog needs personal attention, lots of exercise and outdoor time.”

About: I’ve been providing services through Rover since 2024 and worked privately prior to that. I’ve always lived in a household with dogs of all breeds and sizes, and I’ve raised many from puppies through their adult and senior years. I understand that every dog has unique needs at each stage of life and am happy to tailor care specifically for your canine companion. Boarding Details: I have 10 acres of private land with a pond, giving dogs plenty of space to explore and enjoy. Boarding pups are welcomed as part of my pack and family during their stay—I want them to feel just as comfortable as they do at home. We also have a dedicated bedroom, with a crate available if needed, so everyone can have their own space. I can’t wait to connect with you! 🐾 I adventure daily on local trails with my own pups and love planning bigger outings on the weekends. I enjoy including daycare and boarding dogs in our activities when it fits their personality and comfort level, so every pup gets the right mix of exercise and fun. During daycare or boarding stays, dogs receive morning potty breaks and exercise, enrichment or rest during the day, and evening adventures or structured playtime. I keep feeding schedules consistent and make sure everyone has time to settle. I provide regular photo updates and am happy to accommodate special diets, crate preferences, or senior/puppy needs so your dog feels safe and comfortable throughout their stay. I’m available most evenings after 4 PM, with extra flexibility during February and April school vacations. From the end of June through the end of August, when I’m out of school, I’m much more available for weekly let-outs and boarding opportunities if needed. My goal is to keep your pet in their routine as much as possible, so they can be comfortable and things go smoothly! If boarding at our place- dogs have the accessibility to a fenced in yard, several acres of off leash trails explore, a private pond, & 2 friendly pups during their stay!

He is a rescue who is terribly afraid around strangers, but in a few short hours she had broken through and made a friend. The pictures show that he had a great stay with her, including some boogie boarding, which he loves. Katherine is a sweetheart, and I'm sure anyone who boarded their dog with her will not be disappointed.”
