I’m in a unique position of living at a boarding school. I am fortunate to have the unique opportunity to share my living space with my own fur baby, which enriches my life as well as hers. About: Hi, I'm Kaitlin! I've been caring for pets for 20+ years. I currently have three dog-savvy indoor cats, two friendly (albeit loud) dogs, and I treat every pet I care for like my own. I have children in my home (ages range from 4 – 16) who have all grown up with both cats and dogs and are well versed in respecting their personal space. My husband and I both work from home during the week. I will be returning to office hours Wed-Fri starting in December, but my husband will be home when I am not. Our guests will always have companionship and supervision while in our home. A few things that set my care apart: - Experience with crate training/trained dogs. I can offer support in your training journey if it is something you are working on with your dog. - While I do not currently have a fenced-in yard, I do live on a private dead-end road in a quiet neighborhood. We do not have heavy traffic and can walk for as long as necessary to tucker your pup out. I also have long leads (60ft) for outdoor play on our property. - Daily photo updates of your pet(s) if desired. - Experience with dogs of all ages. - If your pet prefers a calmer environment, my at-home work space provides a reprieve from the rest of the house while maintaining companionship. - Competitive rates and flexible scheduling. I can typically accommodate emergency requests, though Fridays can be tricky with my in-office hours. - Bonus: I also have experience with chickens and love all animals, barnyard or otherwise. I can accommodate check-in visits to refresh water and feed as long as instructions are provided. Please contact me to discuss alternative means of scheduling if this may interest you or you know someone looking for a short term homestead sitter. Your pet will always feel loved, safe, and comfortable while in my care. My husband and I both currently work from home during the week and can provide constant supervision and attention to our guests. Your pet will never be left unattended for more than an hour or two, and crating them is an option if necessary. No dog is left unleased when outdoors; leashes and long lines are used for outdoor walks/play time. Guests are never left unattended and playtime is always supervised between our dogs and guests. Boarding guests are treated as family while staying with us and all areas of our home are open to them.
“Eliot was very good to my pup! She took her on several walks throughout the day, sent me photo updates and I’m just so thrilled she got social time with other doggos. She is in a deep slumber!”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for dogs is more than just something I do on the side—it’s my everyday life. I’m a Co Packleader at High Rovers Dog Daycare, where I work with dogs of all different ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I have years of experience in dog daycare and am trained in pet first aid, dog body language, and group management. I’m comfortable recognizing when a dog is having fun, becoming overwhelmed, needs a break, or needs a little redirection. I especially enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual and learning what makes them feel comfortable and happy. I also have experience with puppies, energetic dogs, shy or nervous dogs, dogs who need extra patience, and dogs who prefer a slower pace. Whether your dog wants to spend the day playing fetch, going for walks, practicing basic training, or simply relaxing beside me, I’m happy to meet them where they are. My goal is to give every pet the same level of patience, attention, and care that I would want for my own dogs. 🐾 Pet care is a big part of my everyday life! I work at High Rovers Dog Daycare, where I spend my workdays caring for dogs, supervising playgroups, and making sure each pup is safe, comfortable, and having a great day. Outside of daycare, I’m available for in-home pet sitting and care. I’m used to planning my schedule around the pets I’m caring for and making sure they receive the attention, potty breaks, meals, walks, playtime, and companionship they need. Because dogs are already such a big part of my daily routine, caring for pets doesn’t feel like a chore—it’s something I genuinely love doing. I’m happy to work with each pet’s individual routine and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away. 🐾 Whether your pet is staying with me through daycare or I’m caring for them in your home, my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. At High Rovers, I work with dogs in a supervised daycare environment where we focus on safe play, socialization, enrichment, and reading each dog’s individual body language. I’m trained in pet first aid, body language, and group management, and I have years of experience working with dogs with different personalities and play styles. For in-home pet sitting, I keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible. I’m happy to follow their usual feeding, potty, walking, playtime, medication, and bedtime routines, while giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I know every pet is different, so I take the time to learn what makes your pet comfortable and what they’re used to at home. Whether I’m caring for your dog at High Rovers or in their own home, I want you to feel confident that they’re in caring, experienced hands while you’re away. 🐾
“Rebeca was very engaged with Thorin and was flexible with scheduling to accommodate our plans for the day. We could tell that Thorin had a good time because he was all tuckered out when we picked him up. We would definitely ask Rebecca to sit for Thorin again.”

“Audrey watched our 3 month old puppy for the day and was absolutely wonderful! She sent us pictures and videos to show us how much fun he was having! He came home so happy and exhausted from all his playtime!! I would definitely recommend Audrey to anyone looking for a loving pet sitter in a safe home environment!”

“Our dog Ollie has been going to Chelsea’s for a few months now and it is the best thing we could have done for him. He loves daycare days and it tires him out for the rest of the week!”

“Susan took great care of my dog Franklin. My dog is a senior and has a few extra needs, she met with us ahead of time to clarify them and make sure Franklin had the best care. I got picture updates during the day. Susan did a great job communicating. I look forward to having Susan sit Franklin again in the future.”

About: Recently moved to a cute farm house in Byfield. Great area for walking dogs. Dead end street with trails and brooks and reservoir close by.. I lLove to take my dog on hikes and walks on the beach. Have plenty of time to share my day with your pets. Can provide references from PA where I used to live. I have always owned dogs and cats and have no shame admitting my dog Charlie is my best friend. I would love to find a few regular customers who would like to meet up and make sure your and my dog like one another. I do like to have meet and greets at my house prior to accepting pet sitting or day care in my house. I believe I owe that to both your dog as well as mine. Hope you consider my services Thanks Missy Hello I’m an active person who loves to take dogs on long walks and hikes. Unfortunately my Dog is 13 and has slowed down drastically. I’ve loved animals since I’ve been a child and my dog Charlie is honestly my best friend. My property in Byfield is on a dead end street with beautiful trails along the stream or trails through the woods. Very quiet neighborhood with lots of puppy neighbors
“Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! From the start, Lori was super friendly, easy to communicate with, and went out of their way to accommodate our last second plans. Lori was warm, patient, and flexible, which made everything stress-free for us and even updated us with photos! It’s rare to find someone who genuinely connects with our anxious pup but Lori totally did! If we lived 1500 miles closer — we’d use them all the time!”

About: We have always had pets in our home. Besides our own, we regularly watch our neighbors animals as well (dogs and cats). We recently had to say goodbye to our special needs dogs. So we have lots of experience and patience. Both my wife and I work from home so are very flexible with our schedule. This allows us to watch all ages of animals, allowing for frequent bio break and a flexible feeding schedule. We have a house full of love. With 2 adults and 2 teens/preteens your animal will get all the attention it deserves. We have a very accommodating house with a fenced in yard. Your animal is not limited in our house, we treat them like they are our own. We go on frequent outdoor activities. Hikes, walks, bike rides... Depending on your animals level of activity we would love for them to join us. We have experience with crate trained animals, as well as those that are more of the free range type. We recently had to say goodbye to our dog of 16years, and are looking to share our family with yours. We have a lot of experience with special needs dogs. So your companion will be in good hands.
“We booked Antonella to watch Loki during the day so that we could explore North Conway. We are super grateful for her time! She is very compassionate and cares immensely for her dogs. We knew Loki was in good hands, and she sent us updates throughout the day. Loki had a great time playing with her chocolate lab! He came home tired & happy. If you’re ever around the area and need someone to watch your fur baby, Antonella can be trust 100% So glad we found her.”

“We are so grateful we found Craig to dog sit for our puppy Enzo. Enzo is a highly energetic dog who takes some time to warm up to strangers, however, he took no time to adjust to Craig. Craig kept us updated through out the day with pictures and videos. We could tell right away that Enzo was having an awesome time. When we picked up Enzo he was tired (from all the fun he had with Penny) and overall just calm and happy. We highly recommend Craig for doggy care!”

“Stanley came home exhausted and happy. He was lucky to have the chance to play with other kids and dogs. This was an excellent opportunity for him to learn how interact with grouped dogs. Nicolette took great care to monitor his activity level and provided him many opportunities to get outside and explore. Her space is almost as incredible as her presence. We look forward to booking with her again.”

“Briana accepted our Daisy on short notice and on a holiday weekend. Daisy had such a good day that I don't think she wanted to leave when we came to pick her up! I would highly recommend her services.”

“Thank you for taking care of Ramsay! Jaclyn took great care of Ramsay and was so communicative with us about how he was doing. She took beautiful photos of him too! Clearly loves animals. Anytime we are in the area we will book with you!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Harrison commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
Yes, you can find sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. Many sitters can respond to messages in under an hour.
To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
