About: What sets me apart is my ability to take pet care seriously without taking myself too seriously. I’m patient, observant, calm, and respectful of routines. I’m especially great with independent pets, seniors, shy animals, and anyone who needs a gentle, steady presence rather than chaos. I’m naturally nurturing, detail-oriented, and calm. I believe animals deserve consistency, patience, and kindness. I’m the type of person who talks to pets like they understand (because… they do), celebrates small wins like a voluntary cuddle, and never rushes trust. I take pride in being reliable, warm, and easy to work with. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule intentionally, allowing time for feedings, check-ins, play, and quiet companionship. I’m consistent, punctual, and flexible, and I never treat pet care like an afterthought. Its something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. I treat every home and pet with respect and care. I follow instructions closely, double-check doors and routines, and keep environments calm and secure. I prioritize cleanliness, safety, and your pet’s comfort at all times. Trust matters to me! Both yours and your pet’s and I work to earn it every visit.
“Nancy was absolutely wonderful! She graciously accepted my VERY last minute booking request, was easy to communicate/coordinate with, and a breeze for drop off and pick up. She was just what Mandy needed as we train her separation anxiety. I loved the pictures she sent of their time together. Was very nice to know my pup was in safe, loving hands! And her backyard looks like a dog’s paradise which was perfect for Mandy’s addiction to ball throwing!!”

About: I’m the definition of a “dog person” — we’ve had several of our own, and we’ve been a boarding stop for friends and family for years. I’m not working full-time right now, so I have plenty of time to exercise your fur-friend, or just drop in for a visit! If you have any specific questions or concerns, I’d be happy to answer them! I’m not working full-time at the moment, so I’m available any day, at any time! Plenty of time for long walks or drop-ins, whatever your pet needs. Whatever you and your pet are comfortable with! I’ve dealt with tiny dogs and huge dogs, seniors and young puppies — they’re all special to me.
“Jovie is anxious and sometimes takes a bit to warm up, but she seems to be comfortable with Jessica! Very glad to have found her, will definitely book again in the future.”

“My Husky is so loved and well taken care of with Jennifer and Matthew. I work long days, and can trust that she's gotten all her zoomies out and is super happy when I pick her up. That's a huge relief for me knowing she gets her needs met while I'm working.”

“Sandra is an amazing sitter! She took very good care of my dog Ruby, being very communicative, loving, and caring throughout the stay. I highly recommend her and will continue to book her for boarding.”

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. I currently own a large dog and am responsible for all aspects of his daily care, including feeding, walking, basic training, grooming, and monitoring his health and behavior. I’m comfortable handling strong, high-energy dogs as well as calmer or more sensitive ones. I have experience managing leash pulling, reinforcing basic commands, and creating a calm, safe environment both indoors and outdoors. I always prioritize safety, routine, and positive reinforcement. I pay close attention to each dog’s individual needs, body language, and comfort level, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m reliable, patient, and proactive when it comes to communication and care. I'm currently working from home. So I have plenty of time to play with your dog. I'm available for boarding and day care on weekends and weekday. I have yard and a friendly Bernese Mountain Dog to keep your fur baby company. I will keep the floor clean so that the dogs have enough space to play.
“Max was very good with Rocco. He was attentive and sent updates during the day. It was clear that Rocco was comfortable and well cared for. We look forward to working with Max again in the future.”
“I cannot rave enough about Lynann. I am VERY overprotective of my, almost 15 year old, dog and Lynann did an AMAZING job at putting my mind at ease regarding leaving my pup with her. I received updates and pictures throughout the day for my dog and she came home exhausted and happy. I would highly recommend Lynann to anyone looking for someone to care for your pup. She is definitely our new go-to dog sitter.”

About: Since birth grew up with a family dog, German Shepherds, a Lab, and at 10 years old I was given responsibility for my own dog a Maltese, Le Petite Pookay( Pookie for short). When I went off to college my Mom stole(inside joke) adopted her and I haven’t had my own dog since but over the course of the past 20 years Ive watched plenty of friends and family dogs and pets. Some claim me to be the Dog Whisperer as even shy pups seem to gravitate towards me. This last year, while transitioning to the Charlotte. NC area I stayed with a Rover host and helped out. And now that Im in my own place, a two story townhouse, I’d love to continue to host and care for your fur babies. I really miss having a furry family member around but truly excited for the opportunity to take care of your animal loved one. I do know about providing excellent customer service, the importance of integrity and working hard with the importance of humility. Service is the heart of who I am and know the special bond our family furries hold in our lives. I can't wait and hope to care for your furry loved one soon! I work from home, so my availability to host is flexible and open. I also, don’t leave the house too often for long periods and will be attentive to caring for your pet. My first floor level is open for your fur baby to free roam, but can also crate if preferred. I have a few areas with tile for easy cleaning. In addition, I have a backyard with some enclosure but have a tie down to attach to collar or harness for first and last pet relief but my subdivision has a dog walk trail for walks and extended exercise.
“Carrie was phenomenal. One of our dogs had a health scare a few days before we were supposed to leave and she managed three medications with multiple doses per day and kept a close eye on her while still caring for our other dog and making sure they were both so so happy. Couldn’t be more grateful for her help while we were away.”
About: I've had animals since I was a child and have taken care of them all of my adult life. I have personally fostered over 75 dogs through to their adoptions! I'm a trusted caregiver who can handle animals of all sizes, ages, abilities and temperaments! I love getting to know each animal's personality and how to best take care of them! With several dogs and a cat at home, I am always in pet care mode (and know how important it is to find a trusted sitter). Whether it is a drop-in or a boarding situation, I treat each pet like they are my own. (Also, our cat has his own "wing" of our home so he is not interacting with any visiting dogs.) We have two friendly, large dogs, Tennessee & Tucky who have been foster brothers to over 75 dogs of all sizes and ages. Having fostered so many dogs, I recognize that each animal is unique and I enjoy getting to know their individual personalities and how to best care for them. Whether the animals are in my house or their own, I will follow the owners' instructions and manage expectations so there are as few surprises as possible. I know how worrisome it can be to leave your pet(s) in the care of another, and I pride myself on making sure the animals are taken care of and enjoy themselves.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. I have experience with dogs that need unique care. My own dog was deaf. I also regularly care for a dog that has quite a few allergies and requires regular attention. I’m very patient and love having animals around. Here to make sure your pet is happy, healthy and safe! I currently work in a hybrid environment so I have a lot of time at home. My schedule can also be flexible and there is a green space nearby to ensure your dog has space to run. I’ve cared for pets in my home and others. I like to provide a safe comfortable environment where pets can feel at home while away from their families. As of August 2026, there are 1,535 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Hardins. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hardins commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,535 sitters in Hardins, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
