About: Hi I'm Melanie! I run a small nonprofit called Time is Precious Pet Rescue and my dream is to open a fully operational shelter and transport system. I've loved animals since I could walk and have hundreds of dogs and cats come through my care along with small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, farm animals, and birds! I have work experience as a kennel technician in veterinary, municipal shelter, and boarding/training environments. I hold a CVA level 1, several Fear Free Pets certifications, and a USDA transporter certification through my rescue work. I'm currently a part-time online student at Lone Star college so my availability is wide open I will try my best to stick to your pets current schedule as much as possible to make their time away from you as easy on them as it can be. During my time at the clinic I became very familiar with harnessing, leashing, and collaring rambunctious dogs as well as coaxing reluctant animals into their kennels I use a fear free approach (lots of treats and toys!) and do not condone dragging pulling or pushing pets unless it is the safest course of action in an emergency situation. I am also experienced in giving medications and monitoring pets for signs of distress or illness.
About: I have owned animals and been responsible for them since I was seven years old. I have owned dogs, cats, and rabbits! I have experience with reptiles, as well as pets with medical needs, specifically diabetes where I have had to administer insulin. I will take care of your pet the way you ask! This includes walks, play time, belly scratches, and cleaning litter boxes. My current schedule is off every Tuesday, every Friday, and every other Sunday. I work shifts no longer than seven hours, and I’m more than happy to do twice daily check-ins on days that I work! if you need me for housesitting, I’m more than happy to make a commute to my job from your home. I currently drive about 40 minutes to work already so it’s not out of my comfort zone. I will treat your pets like they are my own, and also do my best to maintain their normal schedules. I will maintain your home while you’re away and respect your space!

About: I’ve always been an animal lover since I was a little kid. I as well have a 8 year old mini poodle mix that I love and care for. I am currently not working but I previously worked for Houston 911 for 4 years and then began working at a Chiropractic clinic for 5 years. I am taking time for myself and traveling more. I have returned to Houston and have plenty of time to spend with both dogs and cats as it’s a passion of mines. I have a fenced house, front yard, and backyard for my fur babies Charlie and Ryder. They are very playful and love being around other dogs. I am also able to separate them in different areas of the houses if your fur babies do not like to be with other dogs.
About: I’ve take care of animals cats, dogs, bunnies, lizards etc since I was about 8. I loved babysitting for my neighbors and taking care of my animals. I’m currently working part time! I am available many different hours of the day, very excited to spend some down time with many pups and cats!! I love to treat my cat with some treats. I have one animal caging isn’t needed for him, he’s not aggressive very sweet and loving. I’m currently working part time, and is available mostly any day of time. I’ve very excited to need all the animals pups cats etc, so that I can share my love! I have one friendly cat I do not have fenced gates. However, the anima will be safe with me. I do live in an apartment.

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
