âTessa was fabulous. Our 2 dogs were very comfortable with her and she took great care of them over an entire weekend. She is a great communicator, prompt and a pleasure to work with. We will be happy to book her again.â

About: I've taken care off two dogs before inside my home and other persons home. I still do inside my home but only for small dogs. My one cat dont like big dogs I can do any days depending on my work schedule that I have. I need 2 week in advance just for that reason so I know what times and day that I need available I take care of feeding dogs and cats, cleaning litter box, and walking the dogs and playing with them and Bonding with them. I also took care of farm animals too before
âOur first time using Rover and Adriana. It worked out quite well. Adriana was great! She was responsive and on time for our meet and greet and her scheduled dog sitting event. She was very sweet and continued to smile when our big 90 lb baby Remi happily (and powerfully) greeted her, Mr Remi as she affectionately called him. She followed our instructions as discussed. She sent pictures and text updates during her stay with Mr Remi and left our home just as neat as when she arrived. We are feeling fairly confident and happy we have found our Rover match! We look forward to calling on her again to stay with Mr Remi and continuing to foster a healthy and safe dog care relationship.â

About: I grew up on a farm and have lots of experience with small and large animals. I have 4 years of veterinary experience- from kennel work, reception, and vet assistant. I love animals and being able to care for them! I currently work three 12 hour shifts from 2pm-2am. My schedule is different every week. I have 4 days off and I would love to spend those to help take care of other peoples animals! I would prefer coming to your house and caring for them but would not mind bringing them to my house. We have a lot of land for running and playing but unfenced.
About: I have taken care of many animals in my life, including but not limited to dogs, cats, ferrets, hamsters, fish, farm animals etc. I have helped with grooming, feeding, clean up, providing medicine, bottle feeding, delivering puppies etc. I am comfortable and confident handling all breeds and ages. I am currently a stay at home mom doing online schooling so my schedule is very flexible! I am free during evenings and weekends as well. I am good at following all instructions given for the pet and will always respect your animal(s) and your home. I am very open and honest with my communication so you can go about your days/nights knowing your pet is safe.
About: Hi! My name is Kat, but I get it if thatâs a dirty word in your house. Iâve been lucky to grow up with dogs of all levels; Huskies, Mastiffs, Pugs, etc. I started watching friends, family, and neighbors pets in 2019 and in 2021 I rescued my beautiful Cane Corso! I love all animals and can be trusted to treat your fur-baby with the upmost care and attention. Iâm very active so Iâm happy to play/hike/walk all day, Iâve even roller-skated with a pup. As I mentioned, I have a rescued giant breed. With her being a tougher rescue she has taught me how to handle almost any situation. She is reactive on walks so Iâve done training to continue to get her exercise with as much ease as possible. That being said, I can handle most dogs at all levels, no matter the size. Currently, I work 3 evenings a week with open daytime availability. I can drop in or take your pup for a walk anytime during the day and most evenings. I exercise often and go on lots of walks through the day, so if you have a high energy dog itâs no challenge for me. I wait a bit between exercise and feeding but I will prepare the food exactly how you and your pup prefer. Iâm comfortable with crating and have done crate training.
About: Iâve been an animal lover my whole life and have always enjoyed caring for both cats and dogs. I currently have cats and a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. Iâve also pet sat for friends while theyâre out of town and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all personalities. Iâm currently a college student, which gives me a very flexible schedule. Iâm happy to work around your petâs routine and visit when itâs most convenient for you and them. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, belly rubs, snuggles, or simply having someone keep them company, Iâll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care while youâre away. I know being away from your pets can be stressful, so Iâll gladly send photo and video updates during my visits to help give you peace of mind. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for until youâre back home. I look forward to meeting you and your sweet pets! I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. Iâm happy to work with your petâs routine and visit at times that are most convenient for you. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, playtime, feeding, or extra attention, Iâll do my best to provide reliable and consistent care. Safety and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets. For drop-in visits, I follow your petâs normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, and plenty of attention. I know every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their individual needs and personality. I have a fenced yard and may be available for daycare services on a case-by-case basis. If needed, I can crate your dog according to your instructions to help keep them safe and comfortable. Iâll also gladly provide photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while youâre away.
âKristine was very responsible taking care of our dog and home while we were gone for 4 days. In fact, more than we expected. We will definitely want her to take of Boots again when we need a dog sitter.â

âLauren was great with our pups! We have three big dogs and she sent updates on each one when she let them and fed them! It made it easier on me being gone knowing they were well taken care of. We came home to three happy dogs!! Will definitely be using Lauren again in the future.â

âTaylor was a last minute lifesaver because I accidentally booked the wrong dates with our regular in home dog sitter. Outside of this, Taylor did an awesome job with our three rambunctious dogs, sent updates with pictures and even vacuumed before she left. We canât wait to rebook with Taylor!â

âAlanah was great! Our pups were well taken care of and loved. The house was left clean and she did a great job communicating with me throughout our trip. We got plenty of pictures/videos and felt assured that our dogs were well taken care of!â

âAbigail was wonderful for Brizo and Zeus. She is very responible and considerate in other peoples home. Abigail emailed me photos daily of the dogs. I would definitely use and recommennd her again.â

âEmily was a perfect fit for my liberty! She sent me lots of photos!! When I arrived home Liberty was very happy to see us, but after the excitement of her greeting us she was running around the house looking for Emily! I will use Emily again and recommend her to anyone who wants there pets to receive lots of love â¤ď¸â

âMcKayla did wonderful with my chows! She was attentive with all 3 and careful to keep the two females apart since they do not get along. About: I lost my best friend of 14 years last Easter . I miss all the cuddles, walks and playtime we shared together. I am not ready to adopt another dog full time but still would like some time for walks and doggie time. If your dog has a lot of energy I would love to take them for long walks and or hikes. It was a huge relief to have a family member watch my pet when I couldn't take her on trips but family members and friends aren't always available. I work full time, Mon-Fri. My current schedule would allow me to walk or pet sit mornings and evenings after 5. Weekends are very flexible. I am currently training for a backpacking trip. If your pet has a lot of energy I would love to take it hiking or ogling around the neighborhood I have a fenced yard and an animal door. I am not currently open to pet sitting at my home but am willing to house sit on available weekends

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hancock walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hancock maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hancock choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hancock. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
