Kristi is phenomenal! She took my babies in last minute. She gave them their own huge room with a ginormous cat tree. They were extremely comfortable and had no stress whatsoever. She cared for them as I would, I have no doubt they were comfortable in their home away from home. I never worried about their food or their environment. I would most certainly recommend her and use her again a million times over. Thank you for everything Kristi!!!

Madison was absolutely AMAZING with Harley. He was loved, well cared for and extremely happy with her and her family. Madison took great care to keep me posted on how Harley was doing. The daily pictures, videos and contact was excellent and gave me great peace while I was on a two-week trip without him. I highly recommend Madison, and she will be seeing Harley again when I am not able to take him with me. What joy to have found her!

About: I’ve had dogs throughout my entire life, but currently I have a 7 year old golden retriever I treat like my child! I’ve always trained all of my dogs myself and participated in many safety training classes regarding training. I am currently in graduate school and unemployed, so mostly it’s just me and my golden at home most days, so I have plenty of spare time to help in your pet’s care! I am open to boarding and house sitting, but also happy to do drop-ins or just walks! I have a big fenced in yard and a sweet golden who loves making new friends to keep your pup company! I have plenty of room to crate your dog if needed.

Cody was awesome! We did a meetup before boarding where we were able to have our dogs meet and chat. Cody was great about sending pictures and updating us on how our pet was doing. Upon pickup, we could really tell how much our dog enjoyed staying with Cody. I highly recommend him and will definitely book him again.

About: I’m 36 years old and have had dogs and cats my whole life. I’ve had both small and large breed dogs, puppy to senior. I’m an animal lover. I will take very good care of your fur baby. I clean houses part time but still have plenty of time to care for your pets. I can board, walk, and do drop ins and doggy day care weekdays and weekends. My schedule is flexible. My yard is not fenced in but I can take your pet outside to play on leash or without leash if they don’t run off. I can watch in your home or mine . I have 3 kids who will love your fur baby just as much as you do.

Ronda was absolutely wonderful with my Mila! She arranged a meeting prior to her stay so that Mila could get to know her. She sent pictures to me while I was away, and I’m fully confident that she spoiled Mila just as much as I do at home. I whole heartedly recommend Ronda, and am so very thankful to have found Mila’s home away from home ?

Michelle was excellent, our normal dog sitter bailed on us last minute after saying she would accept the job. I contacted Michelle last minute and she accepted our request instantly. A true life saver. Thank god for Michelle, she saved the day. Michelle was extremely friendly about it. I can not thank her enough. She has a wonderful fenced in backyard where the dogs can run. Her own dog Spetka got along great with GG, it was was very nice to know she had a good doggy friend to play with. Not to mention the awesome friendly sitter, her husband was an amazing guy also. I will continue to use Michelle in the future and would absolutely recomend her to anyone. Thank you again so Michelle for your life saving help. ?

About: If you’re looking for someone who will love your dog like their own and bring a level of professionalism and medical awareness most sitters simply don’t have, I’m your person. As a registered nurse, I’m trained to recognize subtle changes in behavior, respond calmly in emergencies, and confidently administer medications or follow detailed care plans. I’m also a proud dog mom to two golden retrievers, so I understand firsthand the energy, affection, and attention dogs need to truly thrive—not just get by. I’ve cared for a wide range of breeds with different temperaments and needs, and I helped foster six puppies in high school, which sparked my lifelong passion for animal care. Your dog won’t just be supervised—they’ll be genuinely cared for, understood, and treated like family in a safe, loving environment you can feel completely confident about. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because as a nurse, I only work three days a week, which gives me four full days dedicated to being home and fully present. On my days off, I have complete flexibility for walks, drop-ins, boarding, playtime, and sticking closely to your dog’s normal routine. Even on the days I do work, my schedule is predictable, allowing me to plan dependable care and maintain consistency. Nursing has made me highly organized and intentional with my time, so pet care isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I thoughtfully plan for. Your pet would receive focused, reliable attention from someone whose schedule truly allows for it. I tailor my care to each pet’s personality, routine, and needs, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. They receive structured playtime, regular potty breaks, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection throughout the day. I’m mindful of maintaining their normal feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any medical needs, and as a nurse, I’m comfortable administering medications and monitoring for any changes in behavior or health. Safety is always a priority, and I create a calm, supervised environment where dogs can feel secure and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible to reduce stress. I follow all instructions closely, whether that includes specific feeding guidelines, medications, crate routines, or preferred walking routes. I spend quality time with them beyond the basics—playing, cuddling, and providing companionship—so they don’t just feel “checked on,” but genuinely cared for. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident and connected while they’re away.

David and his wife are the best! Upon meeting them we knew our dogs would be treated like family with them. We were gone for an entire week and left both dogs with David and knew they were there n good hands. I got pictures of them on the couch being spoiled all week long. Our pups are worn out, thanks David!

I was so worried leaving my baby with someone new, but Rebecca made my dog’s stay very enjoyable for both of us! Juno had so much fun playing with Monkey in her big backyard and seemed to really feel at home with Rebecca. Rebecca was very responsive to my check-ins and sent me multiple pictures and videos everyday. I know Juno can’t wait to go back!

About: I've taken care of animals since I was a child. My dad ran a kennel out of our home, so we always had dogs around,. As a teenager, I earned extra money caring for all kinds of animals, including dogs,. Growing up around animals and caring for them throughout my life has given me plenty of hands-on experience and a genuine love for pets. I work full time from home mostly, but I do travel 3 days a week for 3-4 hours at a time, but I am available to take care of your animals in the mornings and afternoons. I have a dog run attached to the house with a dog door that leads into the laundry room. I also have a large backyard that is not fenced but is great for leashed walks. I have a dog of our own who is friendly with other dogs and not aggressive, but can be crated if needed. I also have an air-conditioned shop/gym where your dog can stay in a crate if you prefer. I can offer several options to help keep your pet comfortable and well cared for.

About: I have had dogs all my life and experienced with young and senior dogs as well and medication management if needed and spoil them rotten in my care 😬 They will get much love and attention as I am a stay home pet mom myself. I am a stay home wife who does not work and love animals so why not give a family a piece of mind that their pet is being loved on and spoiled while they are enjoying vacation or what ever the circumstances may be. My dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the bed and I am not a big fan of crates but will use if owner requests I live in a ranch home so no steps . It is just me and my husband along with my min pin who loves other dogs and a hermit cat who really stays to herself Our home is very clean and maintained . My dog is spoiled more than I wish to admit but wouldn't have it any other way . Plenty of dog treats and toys at my home Your pet can do as they do in my home as they do in there own home ❤️

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

93% of Hanceville sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Hanceville landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hanceville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hanceville.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Hanceville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
