“Barbara was wonderful & took great care of Ruby!! She kept us updated with photos, videos & messages .. very appreciated. She also enjoyed playing with Dobby .. and came home a happy pup. We look forward to more happy stays with Barbara, Dobby & fam. Tnk you! :)”

“Even thought this was his first visit to Michelle, Rusty was very comfortable wth Michelle and her family. He seemed relaxed and happy when we picked him up. I am sure he enjoyed the large fenced back yard.”

“JT and Janelle took the cutest pictures of my 2 dogs! I felt so much peace knowing they were in safe and secure hands with years of professional dog expertise to keep them happy and healthy. I would definitely book with them again.”

“I really appreciated the pictures and videos throughout my dog’s stay. I felt completely at ease leaving him in such capable hands where I knew he got lots of attention, fun, and care!”

About: I believe animals are essential to human health. I have had pets for as long as I have been alive. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, a horse, a pony, and 2 alpacas. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. I telework, so I am home most of the day with my fur babies. With my variety of fur babies, I have a seamless regular daily routine for pet care. Because I telework, I am home most of the day. I have a very large fenced yard with lots of room to run and play. I spend most of my day in the company of my fur babies.
“Tetiana was fantastic!! Our fur baby had a fantastic time and was very well loved. All the pictures and videos were really nice to see as CaySea transitioned with Tetiana and family for the weekend.”

“It was perfect and I felt wonderfully at ease leaving my dog with Anna. Even at our meet and greet visit I knew Jack would love it. Anna has a large fenced in grassy yard infront of the house, 2 really sweet, playful, medium sized dogs of her own who my dog loved playing with (and he wasn't intimidated at all like he was when we tried the dog park), 2 sweet boys who he slept and cuddled with, and he even got daily walks in addition to play. Anna has a dog loving, active family and kept me informed with pictures and videos that he was doing well and adjusted quickly (and was embraced) like a member of the family. What more could I ask.”

“Abby has watched our dog Rocky several times and has always done a wonderful job! Rocky is a rescue, and a terrier, and she let him take his own time getting to know her and her 2 dobie's (both great). This last time presented some unusual challenges, and Abby went above and beyond to make sure Rocky felt safe with her and that we could continue our vacation. She has always communicated well, and has been fantastic with all of her care. I would highly recommend her for your pet!! I can't say it enough. She's great.”

“Cindy was an absolute lifesaver! From the moment I dropped Khloé off, I felt completely at ease. Cindy followed Khloé's strict feeding and medication schedule to the letter and handled her high anxiety with so much patience and care. They sent me adorable daily photo updates and kept me in the loop the entire time. Khloé came home happy, relaxed, and well-cared for. It is clear Cindy genuinely love animals. Without a doubt I would rebook with Cindy in a heartbeat! Thank you Cindy.”

“Ash loved going to Kristen’s! We don’t have a huge yard for him and he loves to run so her house is great! He came home super tired after his weekend of fun. Ash will be going back!”

“Terri was absolutely wonderful. She let us do a meet & greet before leaving my pups which really gave me peace of mind. She had a nice & clean environment. Daily reassurance of how they have been doing along with a ton of pictures and to top it of she was so kind to gift them some new toys to keep!”

“My 14 y o dog has never been happier! Received pictures daily and he was smiling throughout. Best accommodations ever. The family is extremely nice and the boys even drew a picture of the happy dog. I’m already booking another date. So happy to have found them!”

“She took good care of our energetic pup! She always kept us updated with photos and texts about how he was enjoying his days. Thank you for letting us enjoy our vacation without worrying about our Cody.”

“Steph is the GOAT! Look no further for someone to love and care for your fur baby while you’re away. We are so fortunate to have discovered her on Rover. She is absolutely phenomenal. She was very prompt and thorough in communicating with us. She’s an excellent communicator and extremely caring. We enjoyed receiving pictures of our dog and felt relaxed and at peace knowing he was in her care. We had complete confidence in her and think the world of her.”

“Rachel and Jason were wonderful and accommodating hosts for our Aussie. I appreciate that they took the time for a meet-and-greet up front to make sure our dog would get along with theirs, and they were patient with her when she arrived very excited and barky. Also got to see another dog that they were hosting, and Rachel was super sweet with him. I'd go as far to say she's a dog whisperer! We received regular updates and photos to put our minds at ease. Would definitely leave our pup with them again.”

“Teo had a very happy and fun vacation with Connor. He became best friends with his dog and played a lot. I highly recommend him. Very caring and flexible. Teo will go back! Thanks :)”

“Jennifer was so great and easy to work with and our pups came home so happy. We will be sure to use her and her family again. Thank you again for taking great care of our pups.”
“Ray with hands down the best sitter I have used on Rover. He went out of his way to make sure Coby and I were 100% comfortable during his day. Coby is a 60 pound puppy with a lot of energy and loves to be with other dogs, Ray clearly has a ton of experience with larger dog breeds, and ensuring they’re well taken care of. His own dog and another were staying with him during the weekend as well which made Coby’s time even better. Ray was an active communicator and sent plenty of updates throughout the weekend. . He also went out of his way to do fun activities, and make sure Coby was getting plenty of exercise. Will be using Ray as my go-to sitter from here on out. Highly recommend his services if you are looking for a high quality, experienced, and thorough dog walker and sitter.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Halltown
Chris, Rob, and Carla absolutely spoiled our pup (in the best way!!) They treated Alphonse like their own and provided lots of walks, attention, and yummy treats! I think Alphonse will be thrilled the next time we go out of town and he gets his own vacation with this family again. Couldn't recommend enough!

Erin and Hunter did an amazing job with our two dogs while we were away for a few days. Our boys got along well with their dogs and enjoyed the run (Lincoln) and snuggles (Tenbrooks) throughout the stay. They kept us updated with pictures and we knew our dogs were safe and loved. We will definitely use Erin and Hunter again!
Liesl was amazing with Juicy over the Thanksgiving holiday! She even made sure Juicy got her special Thanksgiving dinner, and the picture + text updates were perfect. At pick-up, Liesl mentioned little tidbits about Juicy’s behavior, routines, and anything she noticed. Which I loved, it showed she really kept watch over Juicy, and even gave us an idea of what our dog is like in a different setting away from us. Juicy came home happy, calm, and clearly well-loved. Highly Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Halltown home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Halltown.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Halltown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
