“Our dog Gus stayed with Tony and had an absolute blast! Tony was amazing about sending daily pictures and videos, which made us feel so comfortable while we were away. Gus looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. We could tell he was having the best time! We’ll definitely be booking with Tony again — highly recommend!”

“Brianna was absolutely amazing! We reached out with a last-minute request to board Pinot for the weekend, and she was incredibly responsive and accommodating from the start. She sent us pictures and updates throughout his stay, which made us feel completely at ease knowing he was happy and having a great time. One of the best parts was that Pinot got to spend the weekend playing with other dogs! He’s a very active, social dog, so having plenty of playtime and friends around was perfect for him. He came home happy and sleepy! We’re so grateful Brianna was able to take such great care of him on short notice and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Great sitter, you could tell she really cares when it comes to your dog. Our Bodhi was spoiled and happy when we picked him up. We received updates and pictures and also good communication. We would use Angela again!”

“Matthew and Lindsay were great sitters for our two dogs. They gave us plenty of photos of how our dogs were doing and we could see that our dogs settled right in and made themselves at home. It was so nice to not worry about them while we were away. We would definitely book with Matthew and Lindsay again!”

“I’m so glad to share my experience with this fabulous Star sitter, Danielle! Often my work requires travel, and dependability and creature care is of most importance to me. My dog absolutely loves spending time here, at her home / yard! Danielle, is very affectionate and accommodating to her four legged guests. My dog gets plenty of attention and playtime with other “ guests”, while visiting. It’s never easy leaving your pet, but it’s reassuring to leave my dog here where I know he’s in the best of care..”

“Debbie, Spoiled our Golden retriever -Chloe. Chloe immediately felt at home with Debbie and her dog Sammy. We got daily update’s and picture’s . Debbie’s house has a great fenced back yard so the dogs can run and play. She has dog beds throughout the house and cool house on hot summer days for the dogs. Highly recommend Debbie and will continue to rebook with her in the future.”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our cat, Atlas, during the two weeks we were out of the country. We really appreciated your daily updates and the care and attention you gave him throughout his stay. Your cat room was delightful, and it was wonderful to know that Atlas felt so comfortable and happy while we were away. We truly appreciate everything you did for him and would absolutely use your cat boarding services again. Thank you for taking such great care of our little guy!”

“It was a really great experience boarding my cat with Ashley. She sent pictures showing her playing with him and he looked very happy. Her house and yard are very peaceful and well-suited for dogs or cats. Her two cats were friendly. I'll definitely book with Ashley again if I need someone to watch my cat!”

About: I have cared for a variety of breeds, energy levels, and personalities. I've helped train puppies, given medications, and helped anxious dogs remain calm while with us. As a family, we adapt to each pet and pet parent's requests including timing/ frequency of meals, giving medications and only food provided as needed, activities/ walks the dog prefers, crating (or not), and other things that helps them feel comfortable. I work part time and volunteer while my kids are in school. We are home most evenings and days, we have some activities but we're back early in the evening. I have a fenced yard in a safe neighborhood that doesn't have any traffic noise (there is some daytime construction but it hasn't concerned any of our guests yet). I have a spot for their bed that is central to most of our activities so they can observe and relax. Most like the big front window to watch the street from. The girls do a lot of ball throwing, tug of war, and treat hide and seek. They also like to make treats (when pet parents allow) and reward them for responding to commands. I don't allow them to feed dogs anything on their own.

“Shadie did a great job with our two crazy dogs, Sam and Sadie. They haven't had a ton of exposure with lots of different dogs, so I was a little worried. No need! They had a great time at Shadie's house with a bunch of different dogs, and Shadie made sure to keep in touch with me during my trip to let me know how they were doing. I will definitely use Shadie's services again. Thanks!!!!”

“Cali just loves Gary and Carol. Her visits are always great. If you need any dog care I highly recommend them. I never have to worry when she is in there care.”

“Steve loved his stay with Erica and Elohim! They’re very friendly and communicative. I was hoping for a sitter without other dogs because my guy can be a little reactive as he gets older. I appreciated the updates and photos each day. We’ll definitely look to book again when I’m out of town nexxt and highly recommend!”

“Paul was great to work with. I loved all the photos and updates he shared during our time away. Georgia immediately felt welcomed and was excited to be in Paul’s home.”

“Had a great vacation knowing that our dog was safe with a real pro. I appreciated that he’s got his dogs to keep company and limits the amount of dogs he will board so it’s manageable. His home provided a safe and enriching experience for our dog and communicating during booking and the during trip was quick and easy.”
“Briana again was great! Roxy is clearly very comfortable around her and her two dogs. Briana sends photo and text updates daily and treats Roxy like her own. Will be using her again!”

“Caitlin is a wonderful pet sitter! She’s so sweet, caring, and treats Bear like her own dog. I feel completely at ease leaving Bear with her when I’m out of town. She updates me every day with messages and photos, and she’s knowledgeable when it comes to dogs. I would definitely return to her for future care and services for my dog!”

“Liz is wonderful!!!! Liz made every effort to make sure Iris felt at home during her stay while we were on an 11 day trip. She actually did so well that I think Iris felt it was her new home! There was an Iris instigated incident that Liz handled with grace and professionalism and she made sure all were safe and ok, which they were. Apparently, Iris can sometimes be a bit of a spoiled only-child diva! Dogs will be dogs, and Liz understood and made sure all involved were aware and made an action plan for the future. Throughout the stay, Liz sent daily updates and photos which showed Iris comfortable and happy! I hope Iris gets to visit again soon!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hall
Michelle & Todd are absolutely amazing!! They were very thorough prior to drop off, we felt so comfortable leaving our Max. He was pretty nervous and they were so patient with him. They took their time getting all the dogs acclimated with each other. So so patient!!! And their fur babies are very sweet. Upon pickup you could tell that Max had a great time. We will definitely be using Michelle & Todd for our two week long trip. Thank you!!

Michelle and Todd are wonderful, they always go above and beyond! Our pups have stayed with them two times now. The pups are always excited to go visit "the farm" as we like to call it. Coco our bigger dog gets to play with all three of their big dogs. Porky our little dog, gets all the cuddles and snuggles he can get. A wonderful home if you are considering a home for you animals needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hall home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hall.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Hall sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
