Steph took my Shadow on a walk and fed her dinner on a couple of days when my husband and I both had to work long hours. She arrived when I asked and did exactly what she was supposed to do. Shadow was super happy to meet her on their meet and greet and Steph had a super calm and sweet energy that any animal will be drawn to. Very pleased with her service and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Shanelle has walked my Black Lab puppy weekly for 2 months. She's very reliable, communicates well, and is terrific with my handful of a dog- 70lbs now at age 8 months old:) Cappy loves her and starts barking before her car gets to my driveway- she must know it's Tuesday!! :)) Highly recommend her- rates very affordable and totally worth the investment to help train her. Will continue to use her regularly; expanding to one hour walks soon.

About: Aloha ! My name is Ronda and I’d love to be your fur baby’s friend! I’ve been caring for animals my whole life- as a child my family and I rescued/rehabilitated dogs and cats, at 13 I started my first dog walking business, at 15 I started petsitting, and I’ve been dog walking and petsitting ever since 🐾 I love dog walking, pet sitting, a drop ins! I gear my care towards the specific needs/preferences of the pet and their owner, but I do everything! Walks, play time, fetch, couch cuddles, you name it! I have experience with elderly animals, large dogs, and puppies. Tell me about your pet and I will listen! What are their likes/ dislikes/ schedule/ sensitivities/ favorite toy? I will make note of their needs so that our time together is comfortable and fun. I work a part time job, but am pretty flexible otherwise. My references will speak highly of my reliability, caring and friendly nature, and my trustworthiness. I want to accommodate your pet’s regular schedule! I work part time (my shifts are midday to early evening, two or three days per week ), so I have lots of free time to walk/ drop in/ stay with your pet! My morning’s are wide open, as well as most afternoons/evenings. For petsitting clients, I can let you know my exact work schedule and adjust my shifts if needed. Your pet’s safety and your home’s security is my highest priority. I pride myself on leaving every space better than I found it; For petsitting clients I clean up after myself so you’ll always come home to an empty sink, clean sheets/towels, and a vacuumed floor!

About: I’ve spent my life around dogs, from raising my own senior pup to pet-sitting for friends and neighbors. I’m comfortable with everything from high-energy dogs to gentle senior care, including administering oral medications. I also use a patient training method for dogs that pull on the leash, and I always keep things clean—whether that's wiping muddy paws or keeping their play area tidy! My schedule is highly flexible! Since my daily routine already revolves around caring for my dog, Lily, I can easily fit in your pet's needs. For house-sitting, I can bring Lily along as a built-in playmate. If you prefer solo walks or drop-in visits, I’ll gladly leave her at home to give your pet my undivided attention I have a fully fenced yard for safe playtime and a friendly 12-year-old dog who gets along great with other pups. Plus, having lived on Maui for 16 years, I know all the best quiet trails, parks, and safe outdoor spots to take your dog for some fun adventures

About: I have extensive experience in dog training and care as my Dad’s business was in rehabilitation, training and boarding for dogs. I worked as an employee for 5 years and also had opportunities to help train and care for the dogs from 12 years old. I love learning more every time I interact with a new dog. I am skilled at training dogs to get over leash aggression and constant pulling. I have worked with many different breeds of dogs and have learned a lot about how this can alter their specific needs. I have a part time job where I’m busy on Wednesdays and Fridays. Otherwise I am available to enjoy time with your doggo all day. I live on a large property with lots of fun things to smell and explore! It isn’t fenced, I intend to keep your dog close with a leash unless you feel they aren’t likely to try and run away.

About: My name is Emiko, I am based in Kaimuki area, just moved here from Maui but originally from CA. I’ve taken care of dogs and other pets my whole life but am new to rover and trying to build this profile so thanks for stopping by! I have a spaniel mix pup named Zephyr, I love animals and the healing energies they bring in their personalities and just love how funny they are. Getting a dog has been one of the most healing things in my life, he is literally my best friend, baby and side kick and I understand finding someone who will take the upmost care for your pet is a crucial decision. Especially if they come with baggage or little quirks (Zephyr is a rescue) or they need extra care like medication, etc. I will take care of your pets like they’re my own—feeding, walking, playing, following any other additional instructions and giving them lots of love to feel safe and happy 🤍 *If looking to board, please keep in mind I have my own dog here at home and can only board dogs that are friendly with other dogs, I won’t be able to board big dogs as I have a small space as well I work from home with flexible hours and make my own schedule so I can cater to all your needs for your pet and their schedule Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow instructions closely, keep a clean and calm environment, and make sure your pet feels secure and loved at all times. I’m attentive to their body language and needs, and I never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. Whether we’re out on a walk or relaxing at home, I’ll treat your pet like family—with patience, care, and lots of affection. You can trust that they’re in safe, reliable hands with me.

About: I have been around lots of dogs and cats over the years! I like to have fun with them and prioritize treating them with love because they are innately such loving beings. I've pet sat and lived with both young and older animals (cats and dogs), so I understand that each has their own personality and way about them. I know how to respect their space while also encouraging connection, health, and balance. I love taking dogs on walks and to the beach. I enjoy snuggling with cats. I'd be happy to care for your pets when you need the help and will be sure to show them plenty of love! I am currently living between Maui, HI and South Carolina. My routine is currently centered around daily movement, nutrition, and time in nature as I have become very passionate about being healthy and avoiding burnout. I enjoy the variety of spending time with different animals and supporting pet owners as a part of my weekly/monthly routine and feel it’s a healthy, joyful way for me to connect with my community. I am very sensitive and intuitive so I'm good at helping pets feel comfortable and safe in my presence. I'm attentive and present so will be sure to give your pets what they need, when they need it whether that's food, water, play time, snuggles, or a walk outside. I love keeping my space clean and organized so will prioritize keeping your home this way while I'm there providing service.

About: I’ve had dogs and other animals in my life since I was a kid. I’ve taken care of and helped raise dogs from the puppy stages to adulthood. I am the type of dog lover who enjoys bringing the pup(s) with me to exercise. But I also love to just chill and love on them! In my home, the pet(s) are allowed inside. We have a fenced-in yard. They cannot sleep on the furniture, including the room/bed. I will respect any wishes you have for your pet, whether that be in my home or yours. I work from home -- so, I can accommodate practically any schedule of care. I am pretty flexible because 90% of my work is done online. I treat your animals and your home as if they were my own, with love, care, and respect. If at any time I feel like I have a question, I won’t hesitate to ask, because the well-being of your animal and home are important.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 177 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Haliimaile. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Haliimaile. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Haliimaile.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Haliimaile. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
