“We absolutely love Kaila! She is always warm, kind, and dependable, and Max is so excited to see her every time. We've used her twice for day trips and were so happy with the care she provided that we've already booked her for an extended long weekend. We highly recommend her!”

“Briana was phenomenal!!! We entrusted her with our 3 dogs (one of them being diabetic) and 4 cats while we went half way around the world (we live in Georgie, USA and went to the country of Austria). She kept us constantly updated with frequent messages and photos which allowed us to enjoy and focus on our trip and not have to worry about the wellbeing of our fur babies … we highly recommend Briana for further trips.”

“Kaytlin is so sweet and so good with my pup! She adored her! She sent me so many pictures and videos throughout the night and day and made sure to know she was doing well! I’d love to have her watch my pup anytime! Thank you!”

“I rarely leave my pup at home. I was gone for 5 days. The last time I left (a year ago), I had a friends daughter sit Iris. Iris was super excited when I got home. This time with William, when i got home, she was much less excited...like i just got home from work. This tells me that she barely missed me when I was away. This makes me sooo happy!”

“Katherine filled in when another house sitter had a family emergency, arriving at my house to stay with my babies late at night. I am so glad she did because she was amazing. You could tell she genuinely cares for the animals in her care. They loved her and I have the most fun pictures of their playtime to show it. She communicated so well and went above and beyond for my family. I will ask Katherine first in the future to be my sitter. She was great and I recommend her highly!”

About: I’ve taken care of many pets before; however that has been exclusively for family and friends. These pets have ranged from massive dogs to little pups, and I have loved every second. Currently out of school for the summer, and I have plenty of free time to take care of pets this summer. Any time works fine for me. I spend as much time as I can with my pets, and make sure they’re healthy and comfortable at almost all times whether that involves taking them on walks or making sure they won’t ever go hungry. They are rarely left alone for more than a couple hours.
“Catalina was wonderful! She watched our 2 cats and one dog at our house (and also took care of my vegetable garden and numerous house plants) for a week while we left for vacation. Both of our cats take medication and she was able to pill them daily, which was a huge plus! While we were gone she also updated us with photos of the pets every day, and kept the house clean. In the past, I’ve boarded the pets at facilities or in other people‘s homes, so it was great that we were able to trust her to take care of the house as well as the pets. We honestly can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a toddler, and I’ve always jumped at the chance to make new friends with any dog who seeks it! I’ve been dog-sitting for as long as I can remember, and I’m an active walker, so I’d love a good stroll with your furry companion! I’m also easily engaged in a good game of fetch, and I keep dog bags on me for their business! I’m a College Professor, so I have a flexible schedule! I can visit early in the morning, and I’m also available in the evenings as well! I have a very consistent schedule with my cats, so I will happily work around whatever schedule your pet needs! For my visits, I always want to approach any pet as if I’m a guest in their home, and I want to establish trust and respect your pet’s boundaries, whatever they may be! My priorities are the safety of your pet, food, walks if needed, and of course, plenty of attention!
About: As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets and your home. I have experience pet sitting and am comfortable following each pet’s usual routine, whether that includes walks, meals, playtime, litter box care, or simply keeping them company. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to send plenty of photos and updates while you’re away. My goal is to help your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved - and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I currently have a flexible schedule while I do freelance remote work, which allows me to make pet care a consistent part of my daily routine. I’m available throughout the week for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays, and I can adjust my schedule around your pet’s usual feeding, exercise, and bedtime routines. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I follow all care instructions closely and am especially careful with doors, gates, leashes, feeding, and any household rules. I’m respectful of each client’s home, clean up after the pets and myself, and provide regular photos and updates. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their family is away.
“Emily was amazing! She kept us updated with pictures and videos. Our babies loved her. And after getting delayed for our flight back she was gracious with needing to be flexible by adding an extra check in.”

About: I’ve been caring for cats and dogs for over 15 years. I grew up in a cat-loving home, where my parents welcomed seven cats into our family. My siblings and I all shared the responsibility of caring for them, so looking after animals has always been a part of my life. We also always had big dogs! Mastiffs, Labrador Retrievers, and a Standard Poodle, I’m very comfortable caring for both large and small breeds. Our newest family member, Penny the Chihuahua, has given me plenty of experience earning the trust of shy, skittish, anxious, and even grumpy little pups. I understand that some dogs and cats need a little extra time to feel comfortable, and I’m committed to respecting their boundaries while making them feel safe, loved, and cared for. Whether your pet is outgoing or a little more reserved, I’ll meet them where they are and give them the patience and kindness they deserve. To me, pets are so much more than animals, they’re family. While you’re away, I’ll care for your furry family member with the same love, attention, and respect that I would give my own, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands! Right now I work at a family-friend owned franchise and have very flexible hours. If i’m notified 2-1 week’s in advance I could have the entire day/days dedicated to taking care of your pup. If last minute pet care is needed, I can more than likely work my schedule around to help with your needs! I have a mostly fenced in yard and will be taking that fix into priority, I just don’t currently have the funds to finish the other side of the fence. Leashed walks and potty breaks will be the for front of my care until we are able to fix the fence. I am more than happy to stand on the curb side for 25 minutes while your pup sniffs the same concrete patch each walk, per the inconvenience 😅😂 I understand and have experience following feeding schedules so if you have list, please let me know and i’d be happy to follow!

I am more than happy to meet your expectations and needs for you furry friend and will work with you on what you should need with flexibility and understanding. I can’t wait to sit/board or walk your treasured baby. Be sure that if you decide on me I will go above and beyond as that is my style in life and with animals and people. I'm currently only dog walking for a family friend of mines during the mornings only so I will have a lot of time to on my hands after.I'm available daily as needed! I make sure to take my pets out for potty and for walks every morning and with client dogs I only the instructions of what my clients would like for me to do with their pets such as caging etc.
“Erica stayed at our house for 5 days and took great care of our 3 puppies!! It was the first time we left the youngest one but after meeting her we had no reservations. She came to meet them and was an obvious natural with animals and they were at ease right away. Erica sent regular pictures and updates the entire time. She was professional, communicative, and kind. We came home to a clean house and, most importantly, very happy dogs! I highly recommend Erica and will definitely have her come back when we travel next.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 156 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Griswoldville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Griswoldville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Griswoldville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Griswoldville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
