About: I’ve worked for a local dog walking company for the past 2 summers, completing 4-8 walks per day as well as many overnight stays. I lived with my family dog for 5 years, and now help care for my roommates 2 cats as well. I absolutely love animals, I have experience with dogs of all ages, puppies to seniors. I’m looking to complete as many dog walks per day as possible, fitting them around my one class per day on campus. I can complete up to 10 walks a day, 11 being the most I’ve done in one day. I’m open to weekend work as well, but primarily prefer weekday work. I’ve learned so much about safety and trust in my years as a dog walker, allowing me to build a relationship with my clients, treating their pets as I would my own.

“Kyra took excellent care of our dog Cooper. She gave him her undivided attention throughout the evening. We are extremely happy with her and Cooper loves her. We will definitely be reaching out again when we need a sitter.”

“Ilene was amazing and took great care of our 2 dogs and cat while we were out of town for the weekend. Our dogs can be a little wary of new people, but warmed up to Ilene right away. We appreciated the updates and communication and would definitely rebook with Ilene again in the future!”

“Very attentive, calm, and professional. I really appreciated that they were able to instantly get a long with my dog, who typically gets nervous around others. Excellent communication and frequently checked in with both messaging and photos. Easy to get a hold of, and I had no issues or concerns about them in the home. Would highly recommend and rebook.”

“Isabella is really good with dogs. She did a great job! She kept my husband and I updated. Sent pics and texts. Very knowledgeable made me actually enjoy my trip knowing Tyson & Cooper were in good hand. House was in clean when we got home, she went ahead and made sure everything was good. Highly recommend. Thank you!”

“Andrew cared for my golden retriever, Teddy and 2 cats in my home while I traveled for work. He showed great care and compassion for Teddy during a thunderstorm which makes him very distressed. The house was neat when I returned and he communicated regularly.”

“Giavanna was amazing! So communicative and had my dogs playing and well cared for. One of my pups is extremely shy and she must be a miracle worker because he was a normal pup with her!”

“I’m so grateful to Olivia for stepping in last minute over Memorial Day weekend to watch Roman! She was incredibly communicative from the start and made me feel at ease while I was away. She sent regular updates and photos, which I really appreciated, and I came home to a happy, healthy pup. On top of taking great care of Roman, she also looked after my home and even watered my plants. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Katie was great! She spent quality time with the pups and went out of her way to form a positive relationship with our very shy wolfhound. I highly recommend Katie and will book her in the future.”

“I cannot recommend Syd highly enough! She stayed at my home for two weeks while I was away and took amazing care of my Leo. From the moment I left, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. She kept me updated, gave Leo plenty of love, attention and care, and treated him like he was her own. Not only did she take wonderful care of Leo, but she also looked after the fish, watered my plants, and kept my house in great shape. Coming home to a happy dog and a well-cared-for home was such a relief. She went above and beyond in every way, and I would absolutely book her again. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring, Syd is the one!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better house / pet sitter! I was out of state visiting family for the weekend, and having someone so reliable and attentive in my home gave me total peace of mind. Knowing both my babies (cat and dog) were so well cared for allowed me to truly relax and enjoy my trip without a worry. I loved receiving regular updates and photos throughout the weekend—it was nice to see my pets happy and comfortable in their own home while I was away. My home was left in wonderful shape, and both of my pets were clearly loved and spoiled. This is the first time I have used Rover for pet sitting and it worked out well. I will book again if needed and highly recommend her for services anyone looking for caring and trustworthy pet care!”

About: I have loved and taken care of pets all of my life. Currently, I have a 7 year old pit mix named Hoagie. I am willing to do pretty much anything to keep a pet happy and healthy! My own pets are spoiled rotten. My family has fostered and rescued all sorts of animals ranging from puppies to squirrels and even deer. Growing up I had goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks, geese, turtles and fish along with cats and dogs. I am comfortable with any age or size dog and any sort of other animal there is. I also worked at Petsmart for some time and was trained in pet care and safety. My entire life I have had dogs and all sorts of other pets and there’s nothing that makes me happier than making their little tails wag. I am currently working full time out of the Quakertown area. Mon-Fri I typically work 8-5pm. Sat & Sun are open. I am available for drop ins and walks any day before or after those times. On my off days, I am available any time. Keeping a close eye on your pet while you’re away is of the up most importance. If your pet needs crating, training or just to get some energy out, I want to make sure it’s in a safe and enjoyable environment.

“This was our first-time using Rover for our dog, and we had a very positive experience with Abigail! She did a meet & greet, which was very helpful and made us confident that she and Cooper would be a good match. She sent pictures and kept us posted when her plans changed, and she needed to take Cooper to her house to finish the week...the pictures she sent proved he made himself right at home! We were very pleased and will definitely use her again. Thank you!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of November 2026, there are 911 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Grimville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Grimville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Grimville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Grimville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
