“Cristina did a wonderful job looking after our cat for 8 days. She was always prompt in responding to our messages throughout the time preceding our trip and during the trip. Dude, our recently acquired cat, appeared comfortable in all photos. He was also very comfortable when we returned and hasn't been anxious during our first days back. About: After the heartbreaking loss of my own beloved dog Louie, I've found a renewed sense of purpose in caring for pets. I know firsthand the deep bond we share with our furry companions, and I’m committed to providing the same love and attention that I gave to my own. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or simply being there for comfort, I treat every pet as if they were my own, offering them a warm and caring environment in your temporary absence. I have been caring for animals from a very young age and truly give my all to make sure pets and their parents feel at ease while in my care. Working from home gives me the perfect opportunity to care for pets while their owners are away. My flexible schedule allows me to provide your furry friends with consistent attention, regular walks, and plenty of playtime throughout the day. Whether it’s a quick drop-in visit or extended care, I can easily adapt to meet your pet's needs, ensuring they feel loved and secure. I take pride in providing a safe, loving environment for your pets, whether in my home or yours. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure a secure, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play, rest, and feel at ease. I treat every pet like family, with constant supervision, gentle care, and lots of affection. When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize trust and reliability. I maintain the same routines and environments your pet is accustomed to, reducing stress and promoting comfort. About: I've been a pet owner and animal lover for many years and currently share my home with two dogs and two cats. I'm patient, calm, and dependable. I'll take the time to make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable. I'm semi-retired and have plenty of time to care for your pets. I can provide dog-walking and drop-in services on a flexible schedule that works for you. I'm skilled at dog-walking and providing drop-in care for cats and dogs. I am able to administer medication, clean litterboxes, provide food and water, and play with your pets as needed.
“Vicki was awesome. She stepped in last minute, a couple of hours before we had to leave for a trip. She met the pups and was very prompt with her visits. 5/5 would highly recommend!”

About: My neighbors and friends of ten+ years have counted on me, and still do, to care for their animals. Over my lifetime, I've cared for reptiles, cats, squirrels and dogs since childhood. I prefer animals over people. They get me. And, I understand them very well. Usually daily activities will include at least one trip to either a dog park where we will spend no less than one hour at play or greeting other dogs or we will visit the Sahuarita Lake Park for no less than a one mile walk around the lake. I also will administer medicine, injections and bandage wounds if necessary. I am used to caring for ailing and senior animals. I provide tender and loving care. I also take time to do daily rooming (combing and brushing) and washing soiled linen and towels. I am good at leaving your home clean or cleaner than when I arrived. I do not have formal training to perform cpr.. I am a home body spending time writing short stories and the next best American novel or meditating. My space is my sanctuary. And, if your pet feels safer in their own environment, I will care for your pet in the environment in which they are accustomed while I protect and respect your privacy. Due to strict HOA anti business rules, I cannot conduct a pet care business out of my home. Otherwise, I would love to care for animals in my home.
“Cheryl was amazing! You could tell she loved my 2 big dogs ❤️ They loved her back! She walked them twice a day, fed them and played in the backyard! I will definitely be calling her again!! She also sent pics daily, which we enjoyed! Chris 🤗”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
