Pet Sitting in Green Mountain

About: We lost our last little guy in February 2024. It’s the first time in 35+ years without at least one dog under the same roof, and it’s felt like something essential is missing. I have such a love for dogs, and would love to pass that on to yours while you have to be away from them. That’s my main reason for being a Rover Sitter. I’m semi-retired and work from home, so your dog(s) will get my full attention. Your dog(s) will get care, love, playtime and exercise. Outside, they'll be supervised, whether they’re just roaming, playing or doing their business. I myself love to walk, and welcome having your dog as my walking buddy. Inside, they'll get a lot of attention and affection whether playing ball, or just chilling out. If you've got a senior, I am very experienced in that care, whether simple TLC, boosts when standing, meds, multiple bathroom breaks, etc. Our dogs were allowed on the furniture, and slept on the bed with us; I respect and will follow your rules for that, though. For those who like to sleep in their own "den," I have a lot of experience with crate training also. I'm happy to do a meet-and-greet before the first visit to make sure everybody's comfortable -- both canine and human. Photos and updates are happily available while you're away. I work from home, and have a very flexible schedule throughout the day. I can sit with your dog(s) any day of the week and/or weekend. I follow the pet’s routine closely—sticking to their feeding schedule, walk times, play habits, and any special instructions you provide. In a client’s home, I respect the space and make sure everything is clean and secure. If pets stay with me, they’ll have a cozy spot to relax, plenty of attention, and time outside for walks and play. I focus on keeping things calm and consistent so your pet feels right at home, even when you’re away.

About: I’ve been a life-long animal lover and pet caretaker for my own furry family members and others as well. I’ve cared for small cats and dogs up to 100+ pound doggos. If your pet needs to be picked up or carried that’s no issue for me! I own and operate a business that allows me a lot of flexibility and free time so I can care for my pets and yours almost any time. My 3 dogs are my family. We share living spaces, eating spaces and napping spaces! I love sharing car rides with them and taking them on walks with the family.

About: I've never not had pets in my life. I've had one dog - a jack russel terrier who lived to be an old man of 16. I used to volunteer at PAWS Animal Shelter as a dog walker, so I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages. I love getting to know a new dog and seeing their distinct personalities shine through. I'm currently working Tues-Sat 3-10pm, so I am available for morning or late night check-ins and Sunday/Monday day long care. I can be pretty flexible, so feel free to reach out and see if we can work something out that works for you. I cannot currently take pets into my home, but I am comfortable following whatever routine your pet is used to. The more details you can leave me, the better. I want my care to be as seamless and stress-free for your pet as possible.

About: Grew up in Florida around a lot of wildlife. Owned dogs, cats, ferrets, snakes fish etc. I love and respect all animals. I can sit in your home or mine. I didn't have fenced yard but acres of private land and can take out in leash. Available 24/7 if needed. I have 4 year old Italian Greyhound retired service dog who gets along with everyone and everything... No worries there. Please make sure your pet is NOT AGGRESSIVE. I am retired therefore my schedule is very flexible. I can stay during the day, night or even overnight if I am needed at that location. I live in condo and cannot board animals. I am willing to stay in clients homes with or without my dog being with me there

About: I have been pet sitting for the last 4 years as well as being a nanny for 4 children aged newborn to 5 years old. During my time pet sitting I have worked with single dogs as well as up to 4 dogs in a single household. I love playing with and entertaining the higher-energy extroverted pets and enjoy quiet cuddle-time with the more laid-back, philosophical ones. Your pets safety and overall well-being is an utmost priority and I will care for it as carefully as I do my own pet. In addition to pet sitting, I have learned a lot about interacting with all sorts of personalities in mobile pet grooming business. I have a flexible schedule that allows week-day overnights and multiple daytime check-ins with your pet. For overnight sittings, my flexible schedule allows me to check it in on your pets throughout the day, and no pet will be left unattended for more than 3 or 4 hours. I will communicate proactively and adhere to all the house rules and keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible to reduce your pet's anxiety at your absence. In addition to maintaining their regular routines, I can also brush, bathe, and blow-dry your pet while you are away! I am a considerate house-guest and will wash any dishes or towels/washcloths that I might use as well.

About: I grew up volunteering and working at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh, which sparked my passion for animals at a young age. I have experience with exotics like snakes, birds, turtles and salamanders. My mom is a licensed rehabilitator, and I gained valuable knowledge assisting her with rehabilitating birds and baby opossums. I personally have a horse, two adorable dogs, and a cat. I also have a flock of chickens! I have experience as a service dog handler and am able to administer maintenance medications to animals if needed. I have over a year of medical experience working as an Equine Veterinary Assistant as well! Taking care of animals is part of my daily routine. I am working part-time and have time when I am not working to do pet care. I understand the importance of providing animals with the attention and care that they need. Whether it is a leashed walk or supervised play in a fenced yard for a dog. Or brushing and spending time with a cat I always ensure safety first!
