“Madison was truly a lifesaver! She thankfully had availability day of care needed and she lived up to my expectations! She loved on my baby, took him on walks and even cuddled with my baby to make him feel extra loved! Couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter and even more thankful she was on fort drum!”

About: I think what might set me apart from other sitters is that I’ve taken care of señor issues like weak bladder and standing issues. I’ve also have trained the basic with puppies. I have worked at a pet store and have helped take care of dog and many different types of animals! I also was a nutritional specialist at my previous job and respect exactly what you want your dog to eat and snack on. Pet care fits into my daily routine because I make time for it including taking care of my own puppy! I also enjoy being outside and take time out of the day to go on walks with puppies or occasionally cats! The way I care for pets in my clients home will be following everything that my clients and I talk about for the care of their fur baby! I love showing as much attention and care to dogs and other animals as I possibly can!
“Jessi was the greatest dog sitter we have had through this app! Seriously an amazing kind soul and person. She sent us pictures the whole time! My dogs were so happy when I got home, my house was cleaned, and she even changed my wax cubes!! One of my dogs came from a rough home, and doesn’t take easily to strangers, but she worked to win him over and they became best buds! Will definitely use her for all future trips!!”

“Our fur kids always love Eliza’s visits. She takes the BEST care of them and our home while we are away and takes special care of our medical special needs Frenchie as though he were her own. Truly cannot recommend her highly enough. She’s a true professional!”

“Dino was wonderful with our dogs and communication with us. Having never had anyone stay overnight with our dogs, Dino helped put our mind at ease, updating us multiple times through the day with pictures and videos Our dogs had a blast and were very well taken care of. Dino was very polite, punctual and our dogs have a new friend. We will definitely look for Dino for any future visits!”

About: I’ve always been around animals from a young age, many tend to gravitate towards me. Caring for them is something I’ve always loved to do. I work full time but I’m available anytime after 3:30 pm on weekdays and fully available on weekends as I get those off. I’ll have more availability during the summer months I will always provide timely bathroom breaks and ample amounts of exercise. I will also stick to any routine that you have your pets on.
About: We have three dogs who are more spoiled than our children. We dont like people, but we love animals 🤣. We love walking and playing, and so do our pups! Our babies are spoiled rotten and we can't help it. Our pups have their own doggie pool that they can use any time in the summer. We have tons of toys and one of our favorite things to do is just be home with them and de stress. We sometimes go to the dog park or take walks on the Black River Trail, too! We care for our own fur babies every day, having extra in the house is just an added bonus. Our animals are loved all day long, and we promise to deliver the same to yours. We have a large fully fenced in yard in a rural area, so we have lots of room for running! Our pups go in and out as often as they want. We do allow pets on the furniture, always! ***FOR FULL TRANSPARENCY *** We do require all dogs who are boarding in our home to eat and sleep in a crate, as well as be in their crate if we need to leave the house for any reason. This is strictly for safety reasons to keep all dogs and our children safe. We understand that not everyone is a fan of crating their dog, and we would never do so without consent. This is non negotiable. If you feel strongly your dog does not require needed a crate please reach out to me and we can talk as I do make very rare exceptions. If your pup shows behavioral issues that make it difficult to maintain safety, such as biting or excessive aggressiveness, we will add on an extra charge to the booking. This is almost never an issue, and we are able to separate dogs as needed. When staying in our home, your pups safety is always our number one priority.
“Katlynn was so great with our dogs. We added a puppy to our family last minute and she embraced it head on! Our dogs loved her and even watched her leave. I would trust her with my dogs any day of the week! She should be your go-to-gal for this area!”

About: I have a 13 year old shitzu yorkie who has been with me since I was 9 and I trained him myself. I have a roomy place with lots of places for individual areas. I currently am taking a break from work and have plenty of time to care for your furry friend as needed! Full time availability and plants of room in my schedule for any hour care. I have a dog who can keep your furry friend company but have enough room to separate them if your dog or cat likes their own space!

“Kylie was absolutely amazing with our dogs! She was able to give them their anxiety medication and actually spend a lot of time with them to make sure they were doing good! She sent lots of pictures and updates of their weekend, and followed all care instructions exactly. Letting someone into your home to care for your dogs is nerve wracking and stressful, but Kylie made it so easy for us!! We will definitely ask her to come back in the future!”

“Alexandra was so sweet to my cat! She sent lots of pictures and left the place spotless when I returned. Super friendly and bubbly and has a well established relationship with her clients. Definitely recommend!”
About: From young age I've been responsible for many types of animals. I have experience with dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, cows and calfs, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, iguana, fish, frogs, turtles, salamanders, etc. I currently have one medium dog who lost his litter mate in December 2023. I'm a stay at home dog Mom. We both have lots of energy for walks and hikes. I live on a 1 mile dirt, seasonal, dead end road with lake frontage and massive yard for playing hide and seek in the trees and hunting squirrels. My dog is dog friendly, loves playmates. (No jealousy). In your home care would be provided to your pets as we would discuss with a meet & greet.
About: I’m experienced with dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens and ducks, horses and many other fur and feathered friends. Whether you need me to pop in for walks or stay at your place, I’m ready for walks, play, reenforcing training, and giving medications to your beloved pets. I work remote, so I can be available for visits with a flexible schedule or work from your place to ensure your animals get the attention they need. I can visit or stay depending on your pet care needs. If I am staying in your home to care for the pets, I will need wifi/internet access.
“Nicole took the BEST care of our pets, they went on lots of walks, a pack walk and tons of love. We got lots of pictures which made it easier to have a good time ourselves while we were away. We will definately be using Nicole for our future trips!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Great Bend walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Great Bend maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Great Bend choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
