About: Ever since I was a kid I’d stop and pet any furry friend I’d come across whether it would be dog or cat or any in between. I have a weenie dog who loves to play and make new friends, I speak both English and Spanish I currently work part time at a doggy daycare so I would need as much notice as possible but most of my afternoons are free and my Sundays are always available I live in a townhome near some walking trails with my two cats and a miniature Duchshund I have a smaller crate at home if needed but also have a truck I can transport bigger dogs and crates
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 10. I have two dogs and two cats of my own. I’ve trained both of my dogs through an obedience course and one of them is even certified to go into classrooms! I without a doubt will treat your animals like they’re my own. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, so I’m usually around all week long and am able to be more flexible with my schedule if need be. I have a fenced in yard and two dogs of my own to play with your pup. I also have a crate available if needed!
About: I have spent my entire life around pets, and I am an animal lover. I love taking care of dogs, whether it's walking, combing, playing, or just spending time with them. I am out of college for the summer, so most days are very open. The first thing I do each morning is feed my dog and take her out. She gets plenty of attention throughout the day, and I take her out every hour or two. I also take her for long daily walks as long as the weather and my schedule permit. I have a gated patio, and my dog goes outside on a leash. I have an almost two-year-old Golden Retriever who loves to play with other dogs. I like to take dogs on long walks through neighborhoods and along paths.

About: Whether it’s a high-energy pup or a sensitive senior, I bring years of hands-on experience to every sit. My friends and family have relied on me for years to keep their pets safe and happy while they’re away. I’m comfortable managing the specific needs of various species (dogs, cats, parakeets, fish, rodents, rabbits, quail) ensuring your home stays calm and your pets feel loved. My schedule varies and is incredibly flexible. Whether your pup needs a mid-day stroll, your cat needs time-sensitive feedings, your fur babies need late-night cuddles or just someone to keep them company, I can easily accommodate your needs. There is no place like home, and I’m here to ensure your pets stay secure, happy and relaxed in theirs. Whether it's overnight sitting or drop-in visits, I treat your home with the highest level of care and your pets like my own family. You can rest easy knowing I’m never far away and always have time for a belly rub!
About: I love animals, I can get along with all types of dogs, cats, birds, lizards, etc. I have always grew up with having a pet or 2 ! I work mainly on the weekends! Giving me enough time during the week to care for your pets with my full attention, care, love, treats I have a fenced in back yard, I can easily crate your animal (dog, cat, even birds) with cameras to monitor if I step inside for any reason.
“Kaitlyn was very helpful in coming over to our house and feeding our boy and taking him outside for us after our previous plans fell through. She responded quickly and was able to help us out that day.”

“Marilyn was wonderful with our two Labs Zoey and Remi! This was the first time we used a pet sitter on a drop in basis. We have had some not so great experiences with boarding them when we have been away so we decided to try this. We are so happy we did. Marilyn always arrived when we requested, did everything we asked her to do, and even sent photos and videos. Our dogs were happy and content, which is priceless and relieved our stress in leaving them. Will absolutely use her services again.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds for over 7 years. Friends, family, and neighbors rely on me to walk, feed, and give their pets plenty of love and attention. I’m comfortable with playful puppies, calm companions, and senior dogs needing gentle care. Your furry family member will always be safe, happy, and well cared for with me. I’m available for pet care after 10am, seven days a week. With advance notice, I can start earlier if needed. Overnight stays are also an option for families who prefer round-the-clock care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, caring environment where they’ll feel secure, loved, and well cared for whether I’m in your home or mine.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
