Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! From the start, Lori was super friendly, easy to communicate with, and went out of their way to accommodate our last second plans. Lori was warm, patient, and flexible, which made everything stress-free for us and even updated us with photos! It’s rare to find someone who genuinely connects with our anxious pup but Lori totally did! If we lived 1500 miles closer — we’d use them all the time!

My other sitter backed out last minute to watch my 10 week old puppy and Susan gladly took him on short notice. She did a great job watching him and kept me updated with pictures. My puppy would be happy to go there again and I would recommend her to others.

Our family was having a trip to the white mountains area. And we found Kate & John nearby, 2 mins away from our hotel. They took great care of our dog and were super friendly and nice people, so we can enjoy our time on the mountains. Definitely recommend.

About: I love animals and getting to meet new four legged friends. I have lots of experience dog sitting and walking friends' dogs over the years. I have been a dog mom to two rescue dogs and worked diligently on their training. Rupert is my fur baby at the moment and he's a very well socialized adventure partner. Dog training is an interest of mine and I'd be happy to work with your dog on any skills or behaviors while they stay with us. I have also volunteered at multiple animal shelters over the years, making sure all the animals get attention and walks. I'm currently a stay at home Mom to a toddler which allowd me to be attentive to your pets' needs throughout the day. Your dog will have human and dog company throughout the day. I enjoy going on hikes and walks so I can make sure your dog gets enough exercise everyday. I currently have a friendly 6 y/o mutt who loves having another dog to play with too.

About: Recently moved to a cute farm house in Byfield. Great area for walking dogs. Dead end street with trails and brooks and reservoir close by.. I lLove to take my dog on hikes and walks on the beach. Have plenty of time to share my day with your pets. Can provide references from PA where I used to live. I have always owned dogs and cats and have no shame admitting my dog Charlie is my best friend. I would love to find a few regular customers who would like to meet up and make sure your and my dog like one another. I do like to have meet and greets at my house prior to accepting pet sitting or day care in my house. I believe I owe that to both your dog as well as mine. Hope you consider my services Thanks Missy Hello I’m an active person who loves to take dogs on long walks and hikes. Unfortunately my Dog is 13 and has slowed down drastically. I’ve loved animals since I’ve been a child and my dog Charlie is honestly my best friend. My property in Byfield is on a dead end street with beautiful trails along the stream or trails through the woods. Very quiet neighborhood with lots of puppy neighbors

Dogs are my passion and my references will confirm this. I can come to you or your dog can come to me. Overnight stays will be in my pet-safe home. I have a safe fenced in pen for playtime. I live in the country with many walking paths available for the dogs to exercise and I have a large back yard. About: I have cared for animals for as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, equine, and even some cows and other farm animals. I have owned dogs, cats, fish, turtles, geckos, birds, and horses. I am comfortable caring for any breed and gender no matter the species, and I'm always open to learning. Walking, feeding, administering medications, and love is always included, just ask! I am currently a full- time student preparing to graduate in May. I am also a part time employee for a dental office, I have been working there since last May. I make daily time for my horse, dog, and cat and still have extra time to share. I am in school until 2pm Monday through Friday. My dog gets walked 2 to 3 times per day not including play time. Our cat is both indoor and outdoor. My horse is boarded near by where he has a stall, paddock, and fresh water 24/7. They all get fed twice a day.

Grace was a wonderful sitter for my anxious dog, Murphy. He settled in quickly with her and I could see from the photos she sent that he was having a good time. I called at the last minute and she was free. I was late the next morning and she was fine with that. So both Murph and I are very happy with Grace and will be using her again for sure. A good dog sitter is gold. And Grace is very gold.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Gorham commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. Many sitters can respond to messages in under an hour.

To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
