About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. At age 4 I fostered an abandoned litter of kittens. Since then I’ve cared for nearly every type of pet you can think of. I grew up off-the-grid in the heart of the national forest in Big Sur with limited electricity & no WiFi or cell service. I always had a dog companion & took it upon myself to do all the care for our family animals. At 13, friends and friends of friends hired me to housesit & care for their animals. Since then I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, goats, chickens, parrots, horses, and more! I competed as a NCAA D1 athlete at UCLA & am returning back to the Bay Area after nearly a year of international adventures. I’m making a career switch from public health & health equity to working as a performance coach at a specialized strength & rehabilitation studio in SF. I’m new to Rover but can offer references if needed. Available to housesit through January. Work a job with flexible hours where I can come back to check on pets. Available during the week & weekend. For housesitting services, i can provide care for animals (basic services plus special requests), garbage disposal, mail collection, plant upkeep, etc. Will follow instructions offered by pet parent. If dog and owner are comfortable, would love to take on long hikes or the beach! I am not offering boarding services at this time.

“Emily was AMAZING with our two dogs! Señor and Benji were not only properly cared for, but were loved and given lots of attention while we’re were away. Emily took care of our dogs and our home for 5 days and we cannot say enough about how happy we are with her! She sent pics of the dogs and even let our crazy chihuahua steal her blanket when he had 4 of his own! What a kind person, we feel so lucky to have met her through Rover and will definitely have her back when we need the boys to be cared for again!!”

About: I love to give all furry friends love, attention, and time to just play or go on a walk. I have been caring for dogs and cats for 18 years and it has been such a joy and a very rewarding experience in my life. I have a lot of love, patience and compassion for animals and animal lovers. Caring for someone else’s dog or cat is a privilege. I know that if I wanted someone to care for my dogs or cats I would want the very best for them and the very best is giving them playtime, exercise, food, water, and for some belly rubs. Taking some time off of working a 9-5 so have tons of time to hang and play with your pet! Happy to take them on walks, hikes, or even runs! We have a big yard for our pup to roam around in and tend to take her to the dog park at least 3 times a week.

About: Hi Im Rachel! I love animals of all kinds and am excited to have fun with your pet! I worked in a vet clinic for 6 months and have had dogs my whole life, ranging from huskies, shepherds, labs to chihuahuas. I will run bike or skate with your dog as well as cuddle haha. I have also had many cats and love pets of all sorts. Just let me know what your animal needs and I will do my best to make your them happy! I'm available most weekdays, and certain scheduled weekends. I'm able to pet sit if needed or free for just a quick walk to get out of the house. Thank you for your time! I look forward to getting the chance to meet you and your fur baby! Pet care allows me the flexibility to commit when I have a client and invest myself fully while also providing me with the freedom to pursue my other career goals. I live within walking distance to beautiful, large parks, beaches, and trails in the mountains great for hiking. I live in a tucked away neighborhood with good access to nature.
