“Tish was absolutely fantastic and truly went above and beyond for us. She took excellent care of our dogs, making sure they were happy, safe, and well cared for the entire time. Her communication was outstanding—she kept us updated regularly and sent plenty of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear how attentive and persistent she was in making sure everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Tish to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Our dogs have always had a lot of anxiety away from us BUT not anymore. They have absolutely loved staying with Emily and her family. They get plenty of play time and attention and love the property. We pull up and the dogs are so excited to see them. They even look like they are smiling in the pics we get. You will not regret having them watch your pets.”

“Emily did an outstanding job with Ransas. I'd pick her anytime to take care of my baby. She's a very kind person and took such good care of my dog that I thought I might not get him back.”

“Karen and her lovely family made me feel very comfortable leaving my little girls. She was very accomodating about some of their special needs and I could tell they had been comfortable staying there. She sent photos while I was away, which was very nice. So glad I have someone to care for my little dogs!!”

“We had an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we met Jay, it was clear how much he truly cares about dogs. Our pup was so happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire stay. We received regular updates, photos, and great communication, which gave us total peace of mind. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog—always the best sign. We will 100% be booking again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving sitter.”

“Joyce did a great job of taking care of Lucy for the week we were gone. Very professional, sent lots of pics and videos, and followed the care instructions perfectly. Would gladly book a stay again. Thanks!”

About: Because I’m easily distracted by dogs it’s easy for me to care for them! While this is my first time on Rover I don’t have glowing reviews…yet ! But rest assured I am able to use the experience that having my own doggy has given me. I have taken care of Chewy an 11year old Shih Tzu since he was re homed in 2015. He keeps me on my toes with multiple walks a day treats and he has me fetch his toys for him lol I also am a very proud grandma of 5 grand doggy’s - at times over the past 5 years my adult children trusted me take care of their family dogs while out of town. If you’re looking for a place where your doggy will be cared for and doted on, this is it! I’m currently a school bus driver and off for the summer so it’s easy to schedule at this time. And when school starts I’m still available because I make it a priority to come home to take care of my own dog in between routes where we get our walks in. I have a doggy door that connects to patio leads to a fully fenced in back yard which makes it very easy to have my pet and other dogs go outside for some fresh air and handle their business.
About: As a pet owner, sitter, falconer, and former zoo keeper, a majority of my life revolves around animals. Their proper care and well being is of the utmost importance to me. I have been pet sitting just over ten years, while maintaining other jobs but am now pursuing this full time as a means to help support my growing family. In my free time I offer free snake relocation services; as well as reptile and falconry/raptor education events. I have helped whelp litters, bottle feed, tube feed, hand feed (birds). I’m experienced in medication administration, as well as abiding by special diet restrictions. I maintain a federal falconry license as well as a state sub-permit for wildlife rehab. I’ve cared for everything from birds to reptiles, exotic mammals, wildlife to house pets! There are few animals I’m uncomfortable with and for that reason my rates are adjustable for those with special circumstances! I’ve always felt I had a special bond with animals and I’d love to provide your pet with the same love, care and attention I would provide my own. Pet care is a daily part of my life! Fortunately, I livewoth my fiancee who’s just as passionate about animals and am able to leave my own animals with him when I’m working. Animals have been my whole life and I’m in no hurry to change that. I will always show animals the same love, attention, respect and care that I would show my own personal pets. Truthfully, I’ve never met an animal I didn’t love
About: I have taken care of my own dogs since I was born and have made sure to take care of them well. I have experience and knowledge on most dogs, but I would like to expand that knowledge. This is my first time working with dogs that are not my own. I can do Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am up to 2:00 pm. If I can not scheduled, I am at a family event for the time being. I prefer inside dogs over outside dogs I have a fenced porch, an un-fenced yard, and a friendly Pit Bull who will be a nice companion for your pet. If you don't trust my pit bull I can put him in another room and lock it to help with you comfort

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Goodrich home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Goodrich.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Goodrich sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
