About: Hey there! I am a 24 year old animal lover based in Hartwell, GA. I have a tuxedo cat and a Dalmatian, so caring for pets is part of my everyday life. I am very reliable and love giving animals all the attention they need, whether that is playtime, snuggles, or keeping them on their normal routine. I work Monday through Friday from 8 to 3 at a nonprofit which has taught me patience, consistency, and trust. I also occasionally photograph weddings, so I am organized and dependable. Outside of work, I love traveling, Trader Joe’s, mac and cheese, and peonies. Your pets will be treated like family with me, and you can feel confident they are in caring hands 🩵 I work part-time, so I have plenty of time and energy to care for your pets! Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure they’re happy and well-loved while you’re away. I’ll care for your pets just like I care for my own! I’ll stick to your routine, making sure they’re fed, exercised, and loved. I’ll give them plenty of attention, whether it’s playtime or snuggles, and follow any specific instructions you have. You can count on me to keep their space clean, their mood happy, and their routine intact, all while making sure they feel comfortable and safe in their own home!!
“Jesse was an incredible sitter for our 18 year old Chihuahua with daily Medication needs!! It was Rocco’s first Rover experience and when we came home from date night, Rocco was CALM, rested and HAPPY. :) He’s a VERY VERY PICKY CUSTOMER so JESSE made this worried Dog Mama Very RELIEVED and Thankful! We Will BOOK AGAIN!”

“We were happy to find Tyler to help take care of our two pets while we were away on a family trip. From initial correspondence to doing a meet and greet and then having him pet sit was a great experience. He was responsive and sent us updates. We felt at ease knowing our beloved pets were in good hands! We will certainly use him again if timing works out.”

“Stephanie was an AMAZING sitter! She took perfect care of our two dogs, Ares & Ariel. She went above and beyond expectations, gained their trust, and quickly became one of their favorite people (and mine, too!). She is trustworthy, down to earth, and so helpful. I will definitely book with her again!”

About: I’m a fun loving dog sitter. I love playing with dogs, walking with them, and giving them tummy rubs. Being lazy is another quality I’m good at when me and the dog(s) don’t have anything better to do. I really do love animals. Their like fluffy teddy bears. Dogs deserve all the love and attention in the world. Weather they act crazy or not If the dog misbehaved then I would lightly pop it on the nose and say no but if the dog was nice then I’d give it tummy rubs
About: I have loved dogs since I was a child and have had them all growing up. Professionally I have worked at a overnight dog boarding kennel for two years! I work Monday through Friday with autistic children but I’m available before and after work as well as the whole weekends to take care of your pups! I love to take care of dogs in their own home so that they will feel more safe and secure in the safety of their own space!

“This was my first time using Rover and everything went so well with Natalie! She followed my instructions perfectly and provided me with updates while she was house sitting with my dog! Would definitely recommend! :)”

“Sketcher did great housesitting our anxious 2 yr old dog and 11 yr old indoor cat. She was good at communicating promptly during booking and during the stay. We came home to happy pets and everything was as expected.”

About: I’ve taken care of my community’s pets since I was 17. I’ve cared for almost all kinds of pets. Cats, dogs, birds, lizards, you name it! I always try to go the extra mile so that pet parents not only come home to a happy, healthy pet; but a clean and well-cared for home! I am a middle school band director who works 7-3 most days. However, I can go before and after school care and I can spend nights! My kittens get fed twice a day, they get a new toy once a month and go to the vet once a month! They also have their litter box scooped every night and cleaned once a week. They even sleep in the bed with me. If I’m caring for dogs, they go on at least 3 walks a day of varying length (depending on the dog). I frequently watch a 13 year old pug who can’t stay out very long, so he goes on 3, 10-minute walks a day. However, if your dog has the endurance to go on a longer walk/run with me - I’ll take them up to 3 miles!
About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for dogs and lifelong experience caring for them. I’ve been watching and caring for dogs since I was 10, and I treat every dog with patience, kindness, and the same love and attention I’d give my own. I am a nurse but only work 3 days a week, and I’d love to help out on my days off! I have weekends off :) I provide safe and attentive care for walks and drop-in visits. I always follow your dog’s routine, ensure secure entry and exits, and keep them on a safe leash at all times. I pay close attention to their behavior, energy levels, and comfort, making sure they feel happy, calm, and well cared for while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and peace of mind are my top priorities
“Jordan was wonderful. She kept our old girl company all weekend and we never had to ask for an update or pictures. She kept us in the loop. We cannot wait to use her again in the future”

“Amanda was great! She stayed at our house for a week and took amazing care of our pups. She was very communicative and sent pictures throughout the week! We will definitely be using her again :)”

About: I have been around animals my whole life and I love them! I have a 4 year old kitty named Bunny and she is everything to me. My best friend has a mini Australian shepherd that is very friendly and I love being around him. I also have watched my brother and sister in law’s dogs for 2 years now. They ranged from having 4-8 dogs at different points and I would love to go stay with them, feed them, and get to play with their fluffy selves! I am working limited hours at this time, so I am available weekdays 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.- 9 p.m., and also weekends any time! I will monitor the animals needs and be there in any way I am needed. I will take them outside as much as directed, feed them, make sure they have water, and love on them!

“Kimberly was amazing! I had her watch my 2 pups while I was on vacation, and was nervous because I’ve never used rover before. She kept me updated the entire time I was away, spent a lot of time with my dogs, and sent many pictures! I was relieved to have someone that truly cares watch them. She also went above and beyond, and made sure my house and sheets were clean for me when I got back. Would 100% recommended her to anyone”

“Heather was amazing! She sent me pictures and updates every day so that I knew my boys were being taken care of. I would highly recommend her to anyone and will definitely be using her again.”

“Kelly did an amazing job watching my pup while we were out of town. It was a last minute request and she was so accommodating. Our pup loved her too and she even administered her medication like a champ. Will definitely use again!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Goldmine
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 328 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Goldmine. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Goldmine walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Goldmine maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Goldmine choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Goldmine. On Rover:
- 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
